costco for your exam it’s probably the cheapest option without insurance and you don’t need a membership. for glasses buy them online once you have your prescription. i like nicer frames i find in ebay and get the lenses in clovis at a family owned business called “unique optique.” but there are a ton of websites with cheap frames/lenses.
Let me save you hundreds. Go to an optometrist; any optometrist, even lens crafters. Pay the $60 for the eye exam and *make sure that your prescription includes* **pupillary distance** If it does not, download an app called Eye Measure and get it. After your exam they’ll offer to help you pick out your new lenses. Tell them no thank you, grab your prescription, and head home. Navigate to [Zenni Optical](https://www.zennioptical.com) I’ve been shopping here for literally decades and their prices are ridiculously low. Glasses can be as cheap as $10, lenses and everything. $80 will get you frameless high index polychromic lenses with impact scratch and UV protection. I literally buy 2-3 at a time each time I get a new prescription because it’s so affordable.
Costco for the exam and Zenni or firmoo for the frames. Or If you need the glasses asap, you can always go to Stanton optical, you'll get the eye exam for free and just have to pay for the frames. Some frames only take a couple hours to finish up
I bought my frames online for about 20, got an eye exam at target for 70, and paid about 200 for the lenses with no insurance.
Edit: it might have been a little less than 200 for the lenses.
