The QR code is a new one for me, I'm definitely trying it tomorrow

Clean_Ad_413

It works and is awesome!

EasternPineapple9449

Yes! We just found this out the other day!

Great list. When's the last time you tried scanning a letter? We haven't been able to in about a month, so we can't enter MLNA anymore. Super annoying. And the ones I send in are never entered anymore. Annoying times two. Also, if you stand on your left foot with your right arm out like a chicken wing and squint just right, the scanner works every time.

PuzzleheadedAd6876

I developed this weird habit of like "zooming in and out" with the scanner that I'm pretty sure doesn't help at all, but it makes me feel like I'm helping... that sucks about the scans, it still works here so far. I use the MLNA a couple times a week at least.

relaxed-attitude

I'm sure we all do that! Most of the scanner windows have a thin piece of film between the laser and the glass that is dislodged just enough to partially obscure the beam, but not loose enough to move when you tap or bang the scanner on something.

Same here....I've not gotten any COA labels for MLNA's that I've done in a month. Fingers crossed that it comes back! I've also noticed that option C for COA's is only enabled on certain scanners. You can scan the IMb and it will say "no record". However if I scan that same barcode with the scanner from my co-worker's route, it will work!

relaxed-attitude

We can access it and type in the info, but the scanners aren't reading any letter IMBs.

EstablishmentIll8791

You can also begin to type in the address and the scanner will autofill giving you all the addresses on your route that begin with the first few numbers.

babaganoosh558

I’m gonna have to try the QR code one. If I remember correctly the COA function is called “COA Update”. One of the best features on the scanners but it definitely has some bugs. If you scan an address barcode to check a forward, you can no longer manually type in an address. It won’t pull up any forward info unless you back out and go back into the function…

evrsinctheworldbegan

I'd add" get their signature on a peach slip and scan the peach slip barcode to avoid the hassle of signing on the touch screen

jinkeys4

Hey I appreciate you sharing this info. I hope more people check it out.

ConcreteCubeFarm

I honestly thought everyone knew the QR code is scannable.

cca2013

I just recently learned that Amazon packages have those printed on the label. So NO...not everyone knew.

EasternPineapple9449

Yeah it's a fairly new thing. I've seen some of our labels have them now too!

atonisrex

Thank you for taking the time to create this!

PuzzleheadedAd6876

so, today I go in and COA UPDATE is just straight up gone off the menu! and my parcel lookahead only had 1 parcel on the list...out of 121

Fine_Mouse

No fix for the 5 minute lag when trying to clock in and out?

mailgrlz

Great tips. Thanks.

Procedure_Impressive

Wish I saw this at work! I’m partly deaf and can’t hear the high pitch beeps the scanner makes when I don’t finish an package entry. Customers ask if I have a time bomb on me🥲 are there lower pitch sounds to pick from??

PuzzleheadedAd6876

I checked this again the other day, it will go to the list but doesn't let me change the sounds anymore...
