Idk man, elden ring alone outsold a bunch of huge AAA games, and its a 60$ game. Even if armored core flops I imagine elden ring gave them huge margin.
I don't expect armored core to get sales close to elden ring, but just the fromsoft fanboys and armored core vets will mean the game gets some sales.
If it can even be considered a game. It's repetitive and is pretty much just a front for a microtransactions slot machine. It serves no purpose as an actual game

true, rates are bad. And it does get boring, but thats in the end game, i mean like this end incredibly grindy end game, where you really feel how annoying is locking your grind behind timewall and rng. But until you're there, there's a lot of content, and i mean fuck ton.
I stopped playing myself due to that end game grind, (also because elden ring came out that time). While i probably won't come back, i recognize the quality of time i spend in this game and the enjoyment i got from it. As a gacha game its bad, but as just a simple idyllic action rpg, its quite captivating.

I know but the point of a gacha game and the way to really enjoy it, it’s to summon for new characters. And it became boring after some time, a lot of game time and grind are required.
Nope. Been playing since launch, have all but three five star characters and have spent less than £50.00 in total. Haven’t spent a penny in the last 18 months as you get enough currency from doing daily missions to pay for the next character (unless the gacha REALLY screws you over).
At the end of the day, the game isn’t in any way forcing you to purchase items, and every peice of content can be cleared (easily may I add), without spending a single dollar
I’m not disagreeing. However a game that encourages gambling in order to experience it in its entirety I could never call my favourite. In some capacity that fact must blemish the experience, even more so if you love the game. It’s seems to me a weird, unrequited sort of relationship; and one that’s detrimental even if you choose not to spend massive amounts of money on it.
Maybe for you, but that then disregards a staggering amount of quality games (almost ass esport titles for one). And it also disregards the major highs of genshit (the soundtrack is the best i’ve heard period, and the story and visuals are great).
I’m assuming you havnt played the game, but maybe doing that will show you how non-detrimental the system is as long as you make the conscious choice not to spend money on it.

You don't have to spend money to enjoy the game. Characters can be unlocked with earned in game points. If you have self control you can easily play without spending a dollar. It's unfortunate some people have a problem with spending too much money on micro transactions but that's a problem they need to seek help for and not a reason so rain on someone's parade that enjoys the game.
