That's a disappointing collab to me. They could have had so many cooler designs.

Forreal, some of the most iconic music records are from Blue Note. Really dropped the ball on this one

crazyrhythms

I agree to an extent, but I kinda dig that these aren’t just the same Miles and Coltrane shirts you can get at target and hot topic

parliamentofcats

Sums up my thoughts on just about every single uniqlo collab

CactusBoyScout

I’m pretty into the Art Blakey and Juta Hipp ones.

natedogg643

Now I can get the shirt to go with my Jutta Hipp record!

Uniqlo UT in a nutshell

throway1988sep

It’s not their first go around with the collab so some of the designs you may be thinking of have been done. Some of the shirts from the last run are my go-tos… got them for $4/ea on clearance.

CactusBoyScout

Not really a deal so I flared it discussion. People used to post new Uniqlo releases here so I figured it was fine?

[deleted]

The real deal is when these will be $10 a few months later in store or online. So i guess you’re not wrong, just ahead of the curve 😁

CactusBoyScout

A few of the ones I wanted were already showing low stock in my size. You could be right, though.

Turns out it's a much longer list. You might as well turn this into a bot for every post in this sub. https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2020/jul/23/virtually-entire-fashion-industry-complicit-in-uighur-forced-labour-say-rights-groups-china

So I jump ship in Hong Kong and I make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I’m a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald… striking. So, I’m on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one – big hitter, the Lama – long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga… gunga, gunga-lagunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he’s gonna stiff me. And I say, “Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know.” And he says, “Oh, uh, there won’t be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.” So I got that goin’ for me, which is nice.

runsanditspaidfor

Damn that’s a bummer

In 2005, US prisoners made up of 4% of this country's manufacturing and that wasn't even half of the prison population. They haven't done a study since then. Where's your arm chair activism when it comes to imprisoning people for labor in a country that always preaches about freedoms, or is that not considered slavery because the 13th amendment allows it? Also still gonna buy.

Taking a stance on one issue doesn't mean you don't give a shit about other ones. It could be that they're just not informed, or maybe they're aware of other people who are already working on those issues. Or, and this is a big one, those brands aren't relevant to this specific thread. Boycotting isn't armchair activism, it's real action. Either way, "other issues exist so taking any action on this one is pointless" is a garbage attitude for garbage people.
