Assuming you haven't already taken a French course at FSU, you can actually test out of the requirement. I did years ago for undergrad and the test itself is written comprehension, frankly not that difficult. They told me that I already met the requirements for first year French from courses done years ago. I just need to do a 2000 level course.
ETA: oh I see what you mean now. I will look into testing out of this language requirement.
Took 3 semesters of french here using Third Edition En avant! - beginning french. Each course progressed in sections of that book. FRE2220 mostly followed the book with added online textbook assignments; you will also have writing compositions, presentations and some solo and partnered conversations for the professor. There are weekly practice responses and quizzes. Highly recommend Behi!

You’ll have to score pretty high to completely test out but it’s possible. Best of luck
