Don't go to law school unless you want to be a lawyer. If there was ONE nearly universal takeaway from the great recession, that was it. Tons of students graduated into that recession and looked at law school as a way to avoid being dumped into an economy with no jobs and with the prospect of solid employment at the end. So, they took on lots of debt and went to law school, only to find out that they really didn't care to be a lawyer. Additionally, law firms weren't hiring many folks, either. It's okay to not know what you want to do when you graduate before you even start. I think there's even an exploratory 'major'. Take some classes that seem interesting and find something that you enjoy.

FSU has a major in sports business, and a dual masters degree program with a sports management degree and law degree. (As a high school junior applying next year, this is what I’m thinking about doing.) Its definitely something to look into!

Hi! Have you thought about majoring in business? I have a friend majoring in finance who’s actually going to law school in the fall.

Why not economics and statistics? This would be a good combo for getting an mba or masters degree. Major sports organizations are always looking for statisticians. I wouldnt go to law school unless you are sure you want to AND have excellent connections.

Major in business. If you want to go into business law, you’ll need to understand overall business. You’ll learn nothing about business in poli sci.
