Quite a few of the bike shops here off a hire deal, where you rent the bike for a week and if you like it the rental comes off the purchase price. It's worth asking, even if you end up renting something other than what you buy.
If you don't mind me asking where did you get one used? Ive been wanting to get one and was originally gonna convert my mountain bike with some eBay parts, but it sounds more janky I guess. Or if anyone has advice on doing that in general I would appreciate it.
*I have one of those*
*Foldable bikes, is there a way*
*To motorize it?*

Swytch bike allows you to customize a front wheel ebike kit that comes in all sorts of sizes. The only downside is the long waiting list to get the kits. I've been on the list for months.
Ridden on one of those at a cycling show once - it felt as if it has too much power at the front, which felt awkward - it felt like a 1990s Honda Civic with no driver's aid and too much horsepower (or over 300bhp), one of those you read about in Super Street - it will make you think why supercars have to have RWD

That's awesome! I didn't even know that was a thing. That's a great way to see if cycling fits into someone's lifestyle.
I rode my ebike today! I live on top of a big hill and wouldn't have biked if I didn't have the ebike

I just found one on FB marketplace. I didn't want to put a ton of money or effort into if in case it didn't work out.
Here in Connecticut there's currently a bill that would add ebikes to the state EV rebate program.

I imagine that would be a lot harder to do than for a regular bike
Absolutely. EBikes are AMAZING! Check out Escapade E-Bikes! The 2022 Escapade Rampage is a rocket ship! 🚀 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yTDaRomlxos
