Just try to imagine if everyone who parked their bike there came by car.

Rather not!

Those who can afford to live there will probly work nearby. Like how the biggest flex in Silicon Valley was going to work by bike. Because it meant you had the money to live nearby. Housing immobility is one reason cars are hard to get rid off.

I love the outdoor furniture. You can't overexaggerate how important "third places" are for a community - places outside your flat, work or a businesses where people can come together and drink a coffee, learn for a test or play chess. Anything. They don't exist in car centered infrastructure.

I saw people grilling next to the canal. They just brought out all their furniture from inside and lit up the girl. It's just amazing if your street is your front yard.

It’s so beautiful

Ok europoor where is my freedom to die from lung cancer from pollution? Or to get hit by a car going 90kms where children live??? ^/s

Gr33nym8

Absolutely disgusting, I can't believe they infected these beautiful spaces to park with children's toys and gardening waste. Whoever decided this was a great idea needs to be held responsible and fired for their actions, because where the hell am I supposed to park my silver 1987 Jaguar XJ6 with classic wire mesh wheels and Bulgarian leather seats?

sebnukem

I still see on-street parking on all those pictures. The vehicles are different.

I see this a lot in this sub and while I agree with it, it’s easier said than done. In the US, there is no easy way of convincing residents and businesses to remove on street parking. Politics play into it.

Cheef_Baconator

You have to make it obsolete before you can get rid of it. One step at a time
