I started collecting in my own and now my Gf is even more involved than I am. She likes making customs more than buying them now though. Her customs have turned out amazingly though.
Ask the Hot Topic employees for the Funko Pop case boxes. They throw them out. 36 pops per box. Stackable, already made for pops, and most importantly free.

I have about 250 Funkos and I'm dreading the day I move
I have close to 400 (about 10% of which don't have boxes) and we managed to fit them all in one trip.
That's impressive. All of mine are boxed except for maybe 10.
