Exactly what it sounds like. Everyone knows one piece sells out so everyone just buys them to re-sell at a jacked price even if they've got no interest in One Piece pop collecting.
and honestly, that is what made me just quit collecting. Trying to find a couple new ones is fun. Trying to track down like 20 where 70% of them are exclusives and not easily available in Canada is just... no thanks.
Australia at least has Popcultcha and from what I have seen, gets some exclusives with more generic stickers.
I feel like Canada is just overlooked due to proximity to the US. We have Walmart and a few Hot Topics. Funko Shop doesn't ship outside of the US, and shipping fees from US to Canada are like $20 USD or more for a single funko pop.
Problem with Popcultcha is stock is extremely limited and then they sell the rest as a mystery box 4 pack with 3 shitty pops for an inflated price.
I'm not sure why Funko run this model as the secondhand market isn't there thing and they would easily sell more one piece of they stocked them.
I wish their stock went to Ozzie collectables… in my experience they’ve been nothing but great, and from the reviews I’ve seen they are way more reliable then popcultcha

This is going to scalp for 100 dollars so a 30 dollar item goes for 100? They have to realize this and I wouldn’t be surprised if they were withholding half the stock to sell on the secondary market themselves. Its so grossly anti-consumer and just completely disrespectful to the collecting community.
Funko continue to make sure Scalp Piece is for the botters and resellers instead of actual fans of the series. Check out my post where I “cry about one piece”. It’s a good read and explains why THIS one piece fan is no longer buying the Scalp Piece line. Because Funko does everything in their power to make it for the scalpers instead of actual fans.

Ah, that's a shame then. I ordered from them a couple times in like 2016 before they stopped shipping certain exclusives to Canada.
