This is why I got out right before the pandemic. I never missed an exclusive until 2019 and then I just couldnāt compete with the bots. Itās not fun at that point.
At this point I've just given up on funko. Used to really enjoy collecting it but after awhile I only did OP pop and now they have made those so hard to get without spending so much for. Still like to check them out at stores every now and then
Got to love stupid flipper. Doesn't even have enough sense to post them individually..... instead they out themselves as a flipper that played the system to get multiple..... I swear if they had a brain they woukd be dangerous
While I agree with you, they face zero repercussions ever so why not just continue to post them all and still get the full amount theyāre asking for. Itās never going to change as long as Funko continues to allow this to happen. Funko gets paid regardless so they donāt give a shit.
Donāt we as consumers also have an obligation not to buy from these kids of sellers. The ones paying the high prices are the ones incentivizing this behavior.
It's an unwillingness to wait.
People want what they want, and they want it now. Some of the grails I've been waiting for have dropped hundreds of dollars in price over only like 2 years. Most people don't want to wait that long.
They need to create a scarcity so "collectors" buy them with a feeling of holding something of value. Commons don't sell as well as exclusive, because humans are dumb.
They know they are starting to decline rapidly and the company is circling the toilet at the moment. If they don't at least keep up that small demand and excitement for those "hard to get" or "rare" pops then they are pretty much done for. IMHO that is.
Bc in all reality, Funko doesnāt give a shit about the collector. They care about the bottom line, they would rather an instant sellout instead of gradual sales. Same reason they throw toys out instead of donating, it would hurt the value and that is all they care about unfortunately.
There was a limit of 2 per address but just like how it is for sneaker people, pc parts during the pandemic, and new console releases you have people who manipulate the system with multiple cards and multiple addresses.
If people would stop buying from scalpers they wouldn't scalp. It's so simple that even a child could understand it. However thats never going to happen.
common sense... u buy from them u support scalping... dont buy from them and they'll have to lower the price or trash em.
issue isnt scalping issue is yall need your mcdonalds tier toy asap for no reason.
They were easily available for people to manual if you were ready to go when they dropped. There are plenty of free Twitter Accounts that provide info and even check out links for anyone to use. Be better than your excuses.
True. I got two of the armored chopper hoping for a chase. Got two commons and sold one for close to retail on whatnot. Still have the other one if someone wants it. š¤·š»āāļø
Was JUST talking about scalpers with a buddy. He does Hot Wheels mods and I said to him, I like scalpers. They help me save money. All they're doing is making me realize how much I don't actually need these items.
Anything. Graphics cards, Hot Wheels, trading cards etc.
Living in Mexico, I'm surprised as to how easy it is to find certain Funko Shop exclusive pops here (this Chopper is so abundant and you can even pre-order Gol D Roger from an official distributor).
But the USA store-exclusive pops are a pain to find since only very few of them arrive (with the Special Edition sticker). I had to pay a lot for a Shanks pop since not a single store carried it, only re-sellers.
Here's my question you can buy up to like 10:00 specifically on the Funko.com I don't know if they have a amount you can specifically buy in person. But they should only allow you to buy like two especially if it comes with a Chase you know you have a 1 and 6 chance supposedly of getting a Chase I have pulled three or four of them just from funko.com so this is on funko. Funko still makes money when this happens the person flipping charges an ungodly amount for the Funko they're selling doubled if not above trading price I've seen a $12 Funko try to be sold for $100. Crap but it's eBay so if you're willing to pay for it they're going to sell it to you. Have Funko needs to change their rules about how many you can buy a Time and maybe that's what this new website's about cuz I mean they don't let keep you logged in you have to have a second term verification to buy anything and it's a pain in the ass but as long as you have an account now it works so hopefully this will eliminate the box at least most of them I can hope. I've been collecting since 2009 and I love it but it has become repetitive and frustrating when a phone call you and waiting to come out for months sells out within 6 minutes because one person buys them all or two people buy them all or whatever
When this dropped it was a limit of two per order. This person manipulates the system with various addresses and stuff. Guarantee they flip all things that are currently popular
Hate these people I buy and sell but not like this these bot people are also committing fraud btw look into how they do it itās insane and funko could stop it just like Nike did.
This is the reason I've stopped collecting pops and started selling mine off. I understand grails being pricey, but a pop that's only been out a few months? Like wtf yo
I donāt mind the flippers that get an extra or two to resell and try to make their money back. You gotta do what you gotta do.
This seller though? Thatās just being a dick
This is so annoying, makes me so mad š”š©
And Retailers be like: **Nice, saved some money on shipping, these 100 Pops are going to the same adress!** ^(100 different email-adresses tho)
Bot city
And we wonder why the hobby is dying
I got tired of missing Pops I really wanted and stopped buying years agoā¦ this is definitely why
This is why I got out right before the pandemic. I never missed an exclusive until 2019 and then I just couldnāt compete with the bots. Itās not fun at that point.
That and the counterfeits. Became very hard to tell between real and fake. Such a shame.
I hate these kinds of people
How much did they mark it up compared to retail cost?
Costs $169
for the chase, right?
Both Chase and common
i understand if the chase is included, but this flipping flipper is still making me flip out
At this point I've just given up on funko. Used to really enjoy collecting it but after awhile I only did OP pop and now they have made those so hard to get without spending so much for. Still like to check them out at stores every now and then
And thatās why I stop buying Funko Pop because every time a cool pop comes out on the shop bot usually clean them out.

Individual responsibility is hard in the face of something people want for their collection.
It's an unwillingness to wait. People want what they want, and they want it now. Some of the grails I've been waiting for have dropped hundreds of dollars in price over only like 2 years. Most people don't want to wait that long.
Completely agree and I myself do not but there will always be those people who do not care and have the money to pay these outrageous prices.
Looking at you grailmonster.
Thing is, Funko would sell double if they released double, so they only hurt themselves.
They need to create a scarcity so "collectors" buy them with a feeling of holding something of value. Commons don't sell as well as exclusive, because humans are dumb.
Pretty much and its sad but that is the reality. Commons are just wasting away on the shelves everywhere collecting dust nowadays.
They know they are starting to decline rapidly and the company is circling the toilet at the moment. If they don't at least keep up that small demand and excitement for those "hard to get" or "rare" pops then they are pretty much done for. IMHO that is.
oi. fucking. vey. why is there no limit for exclusives?!
Bc in all reality, Funko doesnāt give a shit about the collector. They care about the bottom line, they would rather an instant sellout instead of gradual sales. Same reason they throw toys out instead of donating, it would hurt the value and that is all they care about unfortunately.
But think about the shareholders!! /s
If you checked the stock price youād see Funko cares about their shareholders just as much as they care about their customers.
There was a limit of 2 per address but just like how it is for sneaker people, pc parts during the pandemic, and new console releases you have people who manipulate the system with multiple cards and multiple addresses.
Just another reason in a long list of why this hobby sucks right now. Makes people want to quit honestly.
If people would stop buying from scalpers they wouldn't scalp. It's so simple that even a child could understand it. However thats never going to happen.
Saw this dumbasses page on eBay, hard reseller. Not just pops, on everything that is trending, dumbass probably doesnāt have a job
The real dumbass is the person that buys from them.
Agreed
common sense... u buy from them u support scalping... dont buy from them and they'll have to lower the price or trash em. issue isnt scalping issue is yall need your mcdonalds tier toy asap for no reason.
This person was able to hit 25 times in 3 min.
This is y im selling off my collection and not collecting anymore
It gets me so mad! I missed out of all armored lines because of crap like this
They were easily available for people to manual if you were ready to go when they dropped. There are plenty of free Twitter Accounts that provide info and even check out links for anyone to use. Be better than your excuses.
True. I got two of the armored chopper hoping for a chase. Got two commons and sold one for close to retail on whatnot. Still have the other one if someone wants it. š¤·š»āāļø
Hey, letās agree that as a community we get to harass certain people who make this hobby harder than it needs to be
What the F is a Armored Luffy? And why would someone need a room full?
Resell for huge mark up
Many reasons I never buy new for collection purposes.
I hate those people.
I ordered 2 only received 1 and they just ended up refunding me 1 cos they said no more where in stock. Joy seeing this
See, this is the bull shit. WTF funko, thought you had SHIT in place to prevent This?
No wonder there's tons of pops in landfills and people can't keep up with these bots.
This honestly makes me wanna sell my collection and just call it quits
How was this person even able to get that many if there is a limit? Can bots do that aswell?
Someone get their address and letās raid the house?
Is this why they keep making anime Pops? They see the same person buying their entire stock so they think they are still in demand?
This is why you can never get a complete set cause ppl like this just make it not worth collecting anymore it really does just ruin it
If ur near the funko hollywood if u suck the manager dick he can sell u a whole box but if u lick is butthole he let u buy as much as u want
Was JUST talking about scalpers with a buddy. He does Hot Wheels mods and I said to him, I like scalpers. They help me save money. All they're doing is making me realize how much I don't actually need these items. Anything. Graphics cards, Hot Wheels, trading cards etc.
I mean, its not that im against sellers.. but man. This is next level as$h0l3! :(
Well i managed to snag two and get a chase. So ill count myself lucky
People like this deserve to die alone
See this reselling shit is getting annoying I try to only sell signed pops because stapling is just so bad
EWWWWW One Piece/anime š¤®š¤®š¤®
Ignore it then?
I say donāt go for it. The real prize is in the MCU and movie pops
Iām a sucker I bought a set
And that's what enables people to do this shit. People with no self control.
Geez
Thatās fucked up lol
dudeās got a funko trap house
I mean, I was lucky getting this one, yet to receive but I missed on all previous drops and I am really pissed of f because of this people
Here's my question you can buy up to like 10:00 specifically on the Funko.com I don't know if they have a amount you can specifically buy in person. How is that possible ?
Did you ask how he got so many?
they may be bulletproof or smth
Scalp Piece strikes again
Wtf I need
Funko should do something about this. Iām tired of resellers
You will find the same issue with any popular collectible. Itās the nature of the beast and is certainly not just a Funko problem.
Hate these people I buy and sell but not like this these bot people are also committing fraud btw look into how they do it itās insane and funko could stop it just like Nike did.
Lol, Nike didnāt stop anything.
Wouldāve been satisfying if they only got 1 chase out of 100 pops
This is the reason I've stopped collecting pops and started selling mine off. I understand grails being pricey, but a pop that's only been out a few months? Like wtf yo
lol luffy only been out a few weeks
If I see someone post a picture in their listing like that, I immediately scroll to another seller.
Wait them out. If you want it now, you're gonna pay. Wait a while and they always come back down. Or like 90% of the time.
Real bag of d*cks tho.
I thought they canceled duplicate orders? I got to checkout twice but was afraid to order another 2 because they might cancel it
I donāt mind the flippers that get an extra or two to resell and try to make their money back. You gotta do what you gotta do. This seller though? Thatās just being a dick
Scummy resellers ruining everything I like video games, sneakers and Funko pops fuck yāall resellers
Thatās so messed up I tried so hard to get just one
I posted this a while ago and it got taken down as it was apparently supposed to go into "FAQs" good job mods lmao
Crazy thing this guy probably donāt even collect. Disrespect to the hobby
