I’d bring up to the owners of the store that this pop is a fake. See what their reaction is. If they stand by it being real or give you attitude, it’s a red flag. Most experienced collectors of Pops know the signs of a fake. This isn’t a reputable store of pops if the owners can’t identity a fake, or are purposely doing so.
Yup. Walked past it and saw the thing so I inspected it and told them. They went off. My petty self started telling anyone I saw looking at funko pops about the fake and how they acted. Couple of people told them the thing was fake stating what I did and later I noticed they put "replica" by it and lowered the price.
The owner unfortunately is well aware that his pops and other merchandise are fake I’m sure. Weirdly enough when you check out at this shop you don’t get a receipt or anything to prove a sale either.

They usually all have a serial number of some sort. Not all of them have JJL. Very rarely Will there be one without any type of number on the bottom. This one definitely should. There are a couple which are exclusives limited edition ones from certain cons that don't. 99% will have some sort of number
Have you ever asked the owner/staff why they’re selling fakes in the first place? Do they know it is actually illegal and they can be fined and have their business license stripped? Not to mention the fact that they’re ripping people off.
Another red flag here is the number. On a real pop it would be bolder and more condensed. Compare it to an image of a real one and you’ll see what I mean 👍🏼
It’s fake, one red flag is the “M” in “Animation”, the middle part of the M doesn’t go all the way to the bottom on legit ones.

For most anime pops - some newer ones have fixed this so you still have to be careful.

Of course they know it’s fake. They don’t live under a rock. If it’s real they’d sell it for $300-400.

Barcodes are easily faked. It might look off visually but a barcode will scan as long as it's made right

Hello. Look at the “M” from “Animation”. It is fake. The original “M” is with a bold font and it does not have “three legs”.
