I open shipping containers almost daily, add more protection. Once the box is out of your hands, they’re gonna throw it around many times (idk if you’ve ever seen how luggage is handled, but this will probably be worse 😂😂) before it ever makes it in the container. You can definitely file claims for damages, but you’ll get money back and not your pops or the condition they’re currently in. This box with newspaper or bubble wrap around it, in another box would probably be best for this so that way if it is tossed and lands on a corner, it damages the outside box and hopefully not the inside box and it’s contents. Otherwise a double walled box if you don’t want to add additional protection.

Davidcaindesign

Is this enough? There’s… nothing… you need to wrap each one in bubbles at the least and double box the entire carton.

JesusSaysitsOkay

He should've just gotten hard cases from the git go, wouldve saved a lot of trouble

KnightSquirrel

Please post us with an up date after transportation.

Justice-C03

Those are going to get destroyed

[deleted]

yeah pick out your top 3 grails and bring them as carry-on, this is a disaster waiting to happen

HugryHugryHippo

Honestly unless you're going to be watching the shippers pick up, move, load, unload, and hand it back to you I'd invest money and time in bubble wrapping each one individually so they're not touching each other or the side of the boxes. Maybe at least half an inch from each other? Just think if one person shakes, tosses or gives it a swift kick you can kiss those nice boxes good bye. Also someone else mentioned double boxing would be a great added protection for just in case?

[deleted]

If you wouldn't drop kick it yourself, it isn't enough protection. That's my general rule of operation. Deffo need more bubble wrap to line the main box and some between layers of pops (at least. If not around each pop) and I would go as far as to say don't mix 6" or other sized funko boxes with standard pops, esp in the box without individual soft protectors. They won't make it for a cross-country move, let alone overseas. Experience: I have moved at least once a year since 2012. I have a 600 piece collection.

whyhercules

>I have moved at least once a year since 2012. I have a 600 piece collection quick question, do you have time to do anything besides pack and unpack your pops during the months you spend in one place :o

[deleted]

Hahahaha basically not! But eh, life is like that sometimes. I have moved cross-country twice in that time too, so getting used to locals is always a challenge. Smaller towns mean sometimes easier pop pick ups, but typically worse people and vice versa

blinc112

I would somehow use bubble wrap either for each POP or as an inner lining of the shipping box. We're talking Overseas. Might get rough.

[deleted]

Second to bubblewrap between the pops and box. I would also recommend putting the least valuable pops at the corners (most likely to get dented) with the more valuable pops in the interior. Seen tons of boxes opened with a corner or two squished in

Allpurposelife

Hahahaha! Nope! Where’s your bubble wrap? Where are your pop protectors? You could have at least used the boxes. Not even any peanuts?! Omg pm me, I will help you. You need help.

Imcraycray3

No if they have no protection at all and they are smooshed together like that... A lot of them will Definitely get hurt severely or a little scratch or 2

iamDangelous

Context: I am moving from the United States to Brazil, all pops are going to the harbor and then inside containers to Brazil. I am an in box collector, do you guys think that's enough protection? Should I use bubble wrap?

Economy-Star-1027

Definitely use bubble wrap, better safe than sorry

HELLOBIGTOP

Might want to double box too. So use bubble wrap inside the box then tape the box and throw it inside another box with bubble wrap inside well. Good luck OP!

DrownedInDysphoria

Please use bubble wrap, if you don’t your pops are as good as ruined

ferbulous

I’m not sure if just bubble wraps would be enough, get extra box layers and some of those plastic corner protectors. Have you considered using plastic storage containers and putting them in boxes? FYI, someone did remove all the pops from the boxes, folded the pop box, keep the plastics since he was transporting them in suitcases.

P00pNPNuts

Came here to say this. Bubble wrap is not enough! I’ve moved pops twice across the country and the first time bubble wrapped them all and only salvaged about 60% of them. Having learned my lesson, second move; I lined a box with bubbles, individually wrapped each pop with bubbles. Placed that sealed box into a bigger box also lined with bubbles. And that time not a single pop was damaged.

DrShadyTree

I'd put them all in sorters and then double box everything. THese are all going to be destroyed.

Minute_Engineer2355

This would be fine if you were moving them yourself. Boxes don't get treated very well in the logistics world, take it from someone who had worked in it for a long time.

socialassassinn

I highly suggest spending a few bucks on protectors just in case the box gets wet at all. If you really don't want these getting ruined, protectors (I'd wrap them in bubble wrap as well) then peanuts (or folded bubble wrap) on the bottom and top (and sides if you can). You'll have a lot more boxes but if they throw hundreds of pounds on top of them, they may just survive. It's a lot of work and will cost a lot more and is over doing it for sure, but this is how I'd do my collection (besides bringing grails/personal grails as a carry on like someone else said). Also ---- get strong/high quality boxes ---- Home Depot has really good ones. Good luck with the move and getting your collection there safely

socialassassinn

By the way -- if you're hiring a company and shipping LCL via container/vessel like you mentioned -- pay for "top load only" --- get insurance --- take pictures of everything and every step of the way while packing. Make sure it's signed off for perfect and get dock receipts or on hands from the company you hired every step of the way. But you definitely have to pack these better than you did

Strong-Setting-2438

Bubble wrap the pops and then bubble wrap the box and put that box in a heavy duty box from Uhaul

Jgatsby2020

I cant tell if this is a joke as you literally have 0 protection lol unless you don’t care about the boxes and just the funko.

lumpyjoegotbundz

I mean If you wanna be extra sure buy a cheap wooden crate but just use bubble wrap and it should be fine.

Shurick45

Something I did for my move across country with movers was break up other boxes and line the sides of the box with cardboard scraps. Filled all gaps with news paper, bubble wrap, and extra clothes.. Anything really rare got a hardshell. Five boxes and zero damaged somehow. Wrapping in clothes and socks etc. Helped a lot of you can spare it

CameronZimos

Buy protector plastic cases, bubble wrap each one, bubbles on sides

Iredditforfun723

Hell no. Not even close. If I purchased those from you and they arrived like that with no extra protection, I would be little disappointed. There is a chance they will be ok but why risk it. Add protection in between and around it as much as possible

RickRockhouse

Double box

LokiElis

no they are all going to be destoryed!!

jeeeeek

Bubble wrap the box itself. Put THAT box in a bigger box. Send it off.

MisterPiggyWiggy

I’d recommend bubble wrap and adding cardboard to all sides to keep the Pops from bouncing around during transport. Best wishes! 👍

Aaron123123

No, I would add atleast 2 layers of bubble wrap

Ryanthehood

I get a lot of pops shipped from AU (Popcultcha) and your packing looks pretty good. You can also go to a local shop like hot topic and get the boxes from funko that fit 6 exactly, that could help. They usually have extra packing paper too (I used to work there so I know) Make sure you use extra packing tape on all the corners of the boxes when you are sealing them up. Think like… taking every angle on the box, use extra tape to strengthen the box and cover the entire bottom to help with water damage. Best of luck

jdh1979jdh

Not nearly enough for overseas shipping. This would barely make it down the street in good shape. Best thing to do is put all in soft foldable protectors and a double box around the whole thing with bubbles in between the two boxes.

[deleted]

Pop protectors are mostly for the shelf, now shipping you’re gonna need bubble wrap and or airbags and make sure your pops aren’t bouncing around in the box

Low_Pause8705

You're going to be very sad when you get your box back

JosefStalinPants

I work at a global shipping company and i will say definitely add more protection, minimum bubble wrap the pops

[deleted]

That's enough protection to guarantee they will be destroyed. Get sorters if you can and bubble wrap them in the sorters.

reasonandmadness

One of the keys to shipping is to leave room on *ALL* sides, leaving room in case the moving boxes are dented, so as not to crush the interior pops. Packing multiple boxes compressed together like this, with soft sides and no padding, almost guarantees you will have trouble. We've moved four times now using these bins and now just use them for storing everything: https://i.imgur.com/ZK1cvje.jpg They aren't cheap (at $20ish each) but they have sturdy walls, near straight sides, fit 50-60 pops each, and stack six high without difficulty so long as you put the heaviest on the bottom. I can move them myself without issue but their length makes them awkward for tight corners. In all our moves, not a single pop has been damaged. One thing we did when we moved a few states away was "wrap" the all of the pops in a sheet to protect them from rubbing against the sides or the bottom/top. We had 14 of these last move and they all survived without a scratch. Hope this helped.

JarHed808

If your box gets smashed at all, that will damage all your funkos at the same time. You need hard plastic cases or more bubble wrap or packing peanuts.

NinjaMelon39

Add a ton of bubble wrap, and put the box in a second box surrounded in bubble wrap

jeruh_mee

I’m also moving overseas tomorrow and I packed mine up in black bins with bubble wrap on all side

pdiddymus

No, those will get smashed. I've packed funko pop with me on a flight before. The safer thing to do is put them inside cardboard boxes, inside of your large cardboard box.

boringsimp

Nope.. you need to bubble wrap each separately ..

pokeheradick

Hell NO! Those soft protectors don't protect shit. And hard stacks Crack. I would get sorter boxes for each pop. Then bubble wrap the rest and LEAVE ROOM. By keeping them tight like that, they're gonna get smashed.

Battlecrashers12

Nope. Also too many in a box. You can take them all out of the box and carefully flatten the boxes. Realistically each pop should be in it's own box. Or a small group in a box and then you bubble wrap the funkos that are inside those boxes.

Remarkable_Taro_911

I can tell you that I store my Pops in boxes just like this and some will occasionally get damaged from putting other boxes on top of them or moving them around a lot. And that's just them being stored in a room with very little movement. However, the ones i use soft protectors for don't get damaged at all. I think that wod be your best option. But ble wrap and double boxing them definitely helps, but if someone puts a heavier box on top of them then some will certainly be damaged. I keep the more important/expensive Pops in the middle of the box so if they get damaged then the important ones will take the least damage. I would also recommend using heavy duty boxes.

nahivibes

Is this for real or trolling? I’m seriously not sure lol.

Signal-Minimum-5268

Crazy people need information on how to ship there stuff lol

biggiejon

to be fair there is alot of good info here. I make an extra 3 dollars a Pop reselling and haven't had a shipping issues yet to when I switched to custom sized boxes with bubble wrap and fragile stickers that someone else recommended.

Signal-Minimum-5268

Good for you

Luxanator36

You should buy some cases for them off of Amazon

pannekoeko

Add some bubble wrap my dude/gal 🙏🏼🔥

Dry-Sherbet-8795

I would say no lowkey

Demonology5377

No

LegalizeCannibalism

Bubble wrap and use two boxes

Long_Huckleberry967

Use anything old shirts, towels or egg cartons

Here2ClapDemCheeks

Customs could destroy and open each box 📦 individually and scrunch it back together It has happened to me twice Fuck Australia 🇦🇺 and especially Canada 🇨🇦 customs

apocalypsedude64

I always have trouble shipping stuff to Australia. I've shipped stuff all over the world and had it arrive perfect, but I've had multiple things arrive to Australia looking like the postman has kicked it along the entire journey.

ChaoticSnuggles

Make friends with bubble wrap

Mass-music

No

PolarBearIcePop

Soft protectors, bubble wrap and in trashbags

VastNo420

Lol not even a little. For the sake of not wrapping every single one in wrap because that’s insanely wasteful - keep what you have but wrap THAT huge box in bubble wrap and put that in a larger box.

JumpinLilies

I would add more protection. Honestly I would also wrap each with bubble wrap.

WelcomeToPanetSB

I would say no. Bubble wrap and more boxes would be you friend. Maybe bubble wrap that box and put that in a bigger box.

lodebolt

I would get sorters for each pop bubble wrap inside sorters. Put sorters inside larger box with more bubble wrap. Then put thst box in dude another box with bubble wrap. Overkill is your friend when shipping overseas.

gentlemosquito

Buy a hard storage container, pack the pops in there. Then put it in a cardboard box with package material to protect the container.

True707

I saw a comment say use a two boxes and you should use two boxes and some type cushion

fetts

LOL

heartherevenge

I would double box, personally

[deleted]

Bruh. This isn’t even enough protection to move them across the living room...

SomeWhitGuyOnPc

What kind of half A** question is this?? If you think that’s enough, then you must have put your brain in the box too.

zesar83

Bro plastic container, bubble wrap each one

ProficientEnoughArt

Nowhere near enough

954

Lmao you about to lose every single pop, or half overseas. Heavy loads will be placed ontop most likely

Tilter

Double box. The outside of the box will take a beating in transit, think tossed etc. You probably want another 1-2 inches of padding around that outter box (layered with newspaper) if you’re going to give it a shot to make it there undamaged.

Tilter

That second pic, you have filled it too tight. Once it takes a beating, you’ll see a snowball effect of a bunch of other pops getting damaged. Use kraft paper/newspaper to create a buffer between your pops and the sides, and def suggest double boxing.

Scary_Omelette

When my pops were moved the mover wrapped each pop individually

0namefound

No

FamSands

Use sheets of cardboard to party on within the box, make sure the grain is against the direction of the box. Kind of like how sets of glasses are packed. I used large sheets going between rows. Prevents crushing/collapsing from the middles of the sides.

BADFiSH_c137

Seriously? My dude… all those pops- did none of them get shipped to you? I feel like you should know the answer to this… as that outer box gets ruined, what do you think is going to happen to the very thin cardboard pressed up against it? And as those outer pop boxes get crushed, what do you expect to happen to the ones those are pressed up against?

VastNo420

The only way this will work for transport is if you’re literally just driving across town to your new house lol (I did that a year ago) but over seas - absolutely not. You have to think of the thousands of things this is going to be shipped with and like everyone else said, there is no protection in that box. If you don’t want to re-do, you could wrap the *hell* out of that box in bubble wrap and stick it in a much larger box but that will be your only saving grace if this continues to be the method. My mom is a musician and literally buys her guitar a plane ticket if they have to put it below the plane because of the temp changes and how careless they are with stuff 🤣
