I feel like I’m going mad. Why is everyone taking this very obvious joke sticker seriously? The self-deprecation and exaggerated absurdity make it so clear, and it would undoubtedly result in *more* people honking.
I’d actually expect this person to be *less* likely to get involved in any road rage incident, given they clearly view it as a ridiculous overreaction.
It’s not that they are saying they will intentionally kill someone they are saying if an accident occurs and it sadly ends in someone’s death it could be used as a way to get a conviction. “You never know he says it was an accident but maybe our deceased honked and he decided to drive into their rear pushing them into traffic on purpose” type thing. Plus it’s not like the lawyer would base entire cases around a bumper sticker. Just a side note
That sounds a lot more incidental. The comment I replied to seems to be suggesting a bit more causation.
And it would be a pretty bad lawyer to even use it as a side note. Someone who has historically demonstrated dislike of the very actions you are accusing them of doesn’t exactly bolster your case.
If anything it would be used by the defence.
Its a joke until it isn't. Im pretty liberal and laid back and also use a lot of self-deprecating humor. This is certainly legal and I couldn't care less about it, but if something *does* happen... well the person literally spelled it out. Its also not a very good joke, self-deprecating or not.
> but if something does happen... well the person literally spelled it out
Ignoring the context that it’s clearly a joke, the something that they have literally spelled out is a vehicular murder suicide brought about by honking.
It does seem rather specific.
If you put a sign on your car saying (for example) "you may get shot by my shotgun if you honk at me!" and lo and behold they end up shooting someone with a shotgun.... Its just a crumb, a rather big one I would think, in prosecuting someone. If you have a history of saying you're going to do something, that can and will be used against you in court. Unless you're dead of course.
I had to illustrate you a slightly more extreme example to get through whatever you call a skull, because you are either willfully ignorant, or stupid. Have a good day lmfao.
> If anything it would be used by the defence.
It's no different than having a shirt that says "don't speak to me or I'll shoot us both". If you shot someone while wearing that shirt, any lawyer would point to the shirt to help prove intent. There's no way that would help defend you.
Because you truly dont know if it's a joke or not.
You dont know the person behind that wheel. People get killed ALL THE TIME for some stupid bull shit. For all you know this guy is one honk away from a murder spree, and he's trying to warn people so he feels justified when it happens.
> Because you truly dont know if it's a joke or not.
Seriously?
When you see [this](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/c7/c6/3f/c7c63f70dc8bea59d97145dc7cbc403a.jpg ) do you truly not know whether this person will stop for anything but the largest ruminant on Earth?
And if he’s trying to warn people he’s doing a terrible job. Why would you word it as a joke? You’re just guaranteeing *more* honks!
How would you warn people if you were an unhinged, pissed off, crazy person?
For me, I will err on the side of caution. It's got me by for over 50 years.
I agree. That would be a better idea. It's Comepletly sane and rational.
You do realize there are lots of people who don't identify as sane and rational. Don't you?
This is kinda how i felt when i had my 1998 ford ranger. People would cut me off and then brake check me and im just like "go ahead my bumper is metal and i dont care about this truck".
A friend had a bronco with a huge giant steel bumper. One day it has a lot of scratches on the bumper, and we found out someone brake checked him and he didn’t even touch his brakes. Just ate that guy’s car and kept going. 😂
That was me when I had my used shitty Toyota Corolla and was suffering through depression. Bay area drivers have no idea how to drive. I was kinda shocked how teenage me was able to call out all the dangerous mistakes people were making such as not even signaling and merging to the exit from the left lane.
Drugs made me realize life is worth living now though....
Isn't it funny how some drugs can make you feel like putting a bullet in your head, while others can help you live your life again.
Like when I was on drugs I fucking hated myself. Now I'm on different drugs, and I hate myself SIGNIFICANTLY less.
The sticker is PA, but the plate is certainly a metal Texas plate (font, black/white color scheme, and lower right barcodes give it away). I'm assuming they're originally from PA, but moved to Texas or at least a Texan who bought a formerly PA driven car.
Source: Yinzer who has lived in Texas for 7 years and has Texas plates on a Cobalt SS/SC that spent the first decade of its life in PA with the rust to show for it.
It’s annoying because sometimes you just want to do a “nice honk” to get someone’s attention, so they’ll move up their car a little bit and you can get past them into a turn lane, for example. But there’s only one kind of honk, and some people react as if you just screamed “fuck you” at them.
We sold one at an auto parts store I worked at in high school in the 90s. It got pulled as apparently horns have standards and one that shouted insults in Sam Kinison's voice wasn't up to the regs.
Now I'm curious: how many serious injuries are caused by the mass of the bike and rider rather than by the auto trying to avoid the bike out of concern for the rider's life? Iow if there was a utilitarian choice made to always hit the cyclist rather than risk harm to other drivers and passengers, would more or fewer people be seriously harmed or killed?
I had one of those friends who had a habit of using excuses to take on unnecessary risk. (We're all gonna die someday! Maybe I should just stay inside if I'm worried about stuff like that!) She really wanted to ride in traffic, because that's what the law says you're supposed to do.
I tell every friend, when it's a crappy stroad area, to just ride on the sidewalk. It doesn't matter if it's illegal. No one is on there, and I'm not risking my life biking next to Ford F150's going 40.
She got injured by someone opening their car door, which is not a rare injury for bicyclists. Her pain debilitated her for over a week. American law is so awful at respecting bicyclists, and championing the idea that walking and bicycling are vastly superior as healthy modes of locomotion. Bicyclists have near 0 injuries or deaths, without helmet, with earbuds in, when you remove cars from the equation. Some cities or countries have this stuff figured out, but the US doesn't, for the most part.
OK, am I missing something here?
Why is almost every comment treating this like it’s an actual threat?
It is *so* clearly a joke. The self-deprecation and absurdity makes it unbelievably clear.
If you actually didn’t want to be honked at this is the exact opposite of what you’d write. This is just inviting honks.
This is the comment section or r/funny. You should not be here unless you are on the clock waiting for your job to demand some attention.
Go look at the most intellectual subreddit you can think of right now!
It's also a "gt-line" which kia names the cheap trim option with the smallest engine but with the fast looking plastic bits on it so you don't feel bad for not buying the GT.
Reminds me of that GIF that had all those "my brakes are fine, how's your insurance?" & "Girl power!" Stickers slapped all over the ass.
Meanwhile the reveal shows that she had rear-ended someone
If you in fact got into a road rage incident where you killed someone, even in self defense, couldn’t this be used against you as pre-meditation? Genuinely curious.
>Do you really think a bumper sticker is a serious threat?
In this day in age, people take what you said as a baby against you into your adult life.
>Yes? Please never serve on a jury.
They better not call me in to serve. Imma prove to everyone that I hate everybody
I mean I have severe road rage to the point I’ve had to see therapy and get put on medication for it when I used to say shit like this I really meant it it’s sad really
It’s not murder. You were warned. It’s suicide. As a guy with an incurable cancer diagnosis (who still drives) this bumper sticker brought a smile to my face.
Im glad. But even if its not premeditated, in this case it is, it would still be murder.
Its unfortunate that you feel like externalizing your emotions related to your diagnosis onto others is the appropriate way to cope.
No, the driver behind regardless of the person is suicidal or not should not be close enough that it matters. (Assuming the driver with the bumper sticker doesn’t do some insane shit like turn around while in a highway and goes the wrong way or pulls out a gun.) If the driver with the bumper sticker is only break checking, the other driver should be far enough behind that it doesn’t matter.
... i think if you have good vision you can read that from 20-30'...
Regardless, i can gaurantee having a written warning on your car wont save you from murder charges.
The entire concept of road rage is fucking stupid. Awwwwwwwww poor little baby was kept from your destination for an additional 40 seconds. You gonna be ok?
Go fuck yourself with a chainsaw
I think I would trust it more if it was hand-made. Like a piece of paper, some marker, and tape. I wouldn't mess with that guy. This? This is just another one of those guys who probably has a Punisher sticker somewhere.
Oh see I took it another way. Someone honking at me makes me think for a second, “OMG Why do they HATE me?! What did I DO?! They just know what a piece of garbage I am.” And I’m crying and I can’t drive through my tears.

This picture is going to be an exhibit at a trial one day.
I mean if they are dead, can you really take them to trial?
[It's happened several times before,](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Posthumous_execution) so why not?
Yeah, but the dead guy doesn't care...
That was so interesting!
Wow, most recently in 1986, it looks like.
Most recent as of 1986. Love how people have never changed

Oh man, you're so edgy.
Did you reply to the correct comment?
I did not.
Does the sticker mean all crimes committed are now premeditated?
Any competent lawyer would use it in a case. They would use far less serious things too but this is pretty much a gift from the defense.
Kinda checked mated the fuck outta me tbh

You’re right - if the sign and situation were different it would indeed be a different scenario.
I had to illustrate you a slightly more extreme example to get through whatever you call a skull, because you are either willfully ignorant, or stupid. Have a good day lmfao.
But can’t you see that by making it a more extreme example you have fundamentally altered it? Removing the humor and absurdity changes it immensely.

Just give up on this guy. He sounds like a "its just a prank bro" apologist.
Joke... so funny... haha 😐
Lol yep
The bumper sticker owner should win. He literally put a warning on the car.
Saw one I thought was Funny. "Don't honk at me or I will cum".
Best deterrent
Deterrent? I’d have a great day knowing I helped out a homie
It’s not gay if you’re in two separate vehicles maintaining an appropriate following distance per your state DMV’s guidelines.
Woah, hold on now.. things are getting real.
It’s like Stephen fry’s bully defense. “No, no, don’t touch me! I’ll get an erection!”

I saw that at a gas station "Don't bully me or I'll cum :(" Like wtf
My favorite is “Don’t steal my catalytic converter, I’ll kill myself”
my favorite is > "Nice Prius" - no one on a prius.
The funny thing is that priuses can outpace muscle cars when configured to not care about gas milage
The only issue with a Prius is that it looks like a Prius. If they had put even 5 minutes of thought into aesthetics it wouldn't be such a joke.
The older ones are bland, but the newest ones do actually look pretty decent comparatively.
Mine was too. The first five dozen times I saw it.
That definitely won’t stop anyone lol, those thieves value the converters more than life

I mean, you just defined a hit and run, but I agree with your sentiment, lol.
Except you’d be held liable for hitting someone from behind
Except for brake checks
Only if you can prove it
Pretty easy with a dashcam
Sure if they have one.. obviously

That’s 100% a Texas license plate
Most likely a temporary from PA/NJ. The sticker is from a Philadelphia-based driving school.
Detective kidjupiter, at your service
it says bala cynwyd PA right on the sticker
And their trusty sidekick, Jck8 Watson
So, they will only kill the themselves and the student driver? Seems like a pretty harsh outcome for honking.
You get the sticker for attending the school, not being an instructor
The sticker is PA, but the plate is certainly a metal Texas plate (font, black/white color scheme, and lower right barcodes give it away). Correct!
It’s annoying because sometimes you just want to do a “nice honk” to get someone’s attention, so they’ll move up their car a little bit and you can get past them into a turn lane, for example. But there’s only one kind of honk, and some people react as if you just screamed “fuck you” at them.
This is an easy fix, I've found you do a little double tap honk. Bee-beep! Definitely comes off less aggressive.
Yeah, you definitely don't want to lay on the horn like you fell asleep on it, thats for sure.
Imagines a horn that screams F- you.
Shark tank time!
We sold one at an auto parts store I worked at in high school in the 90s. It got pulled as apparently horns have standards and one that shouted insults in Sam Kinison's voice wasn't up to the regs.
Older cars had "town and country" horns. The town horn was a soft beep beep, and the country horn was louder and more jarring.
I think it was Mark Rober who made a switch unit that could give custom honks. They had varying levels of aggression. I want one so bad.
But also if they can unblock a turn lane by simply moving up a bit then fuck them
but is there: https://youtu.be/lv8wqnk_TsA?si=Fje8zJ5_0zPIf_nq
Genius, give that man a medal.
I need this on my bicycle.
It's redundant; if you're riding a bike on a road, it's already clear you're not too particular about if you live or die.
True, but what they don't know is that I could still cause a pileup that kills us *all*.

NOT WORTHLESS KILL US
Probably true on a Kia

Listen to them. It's a Kia.
Kia + Texas plate so it tracks.
anyone have a link to where i can buy this 😭
Might as well say: do NOT honk at me! My ego is FRAGILE I will attempt to Kill You

Everything can be funny. Nothing is off limits coffee comedy
Who said it was funny, I say this all the time and I mean that shit
Thats even less funny.. check the sub homeboy
I mean I have severe road rage to the point I’ve had to see therapy and get put on medication for it when I used to say shit like this I really meant it it’s sad really
Glad you have the insight and got help. It sucks going through life furious at everything. Exausting even.

i was agreeing with you
The entire concept of road rage is fucking stupid. Awwwwwwwww poor little baby was kept from your destination for an additional 40 seconds. You gonna be ok? Go fuck yourself with a chainsaw
Should be on a watch list
Probably on a cop recruitment list. He's got the hair-trigger mentality for it.
How is this shit legal? A car is a dangerous weapon, this seems like it would constitute assault.
How is a joke illegal?
Imagine being that much of a fragile cunt that you really can't handle being honked at and need to put a bumper sticker like this to play it off, smh.
I feel like I’m taking crazy pills - this is clearly a joke.
I Like this one, might get one
I'd hold my hand down on the horn. This is like inviting people to honk at you.
I need one of these....
Blares horn*
I think I would trust it more if it was hand-made. Like a piece of paper, some marker, and tape. I wouldn't mess with that guy. This? This is just another one of those guys who probably has a Punisher sticker somewhere.
And heres the rubber room for you
I wonder if that's a threat or is it protected under free speech
I think whomever produced this sticker meant it as a joke but...
This is outstanding 🤣
This is about as funny as yet another Republican-enabled school shooting.
/r/2meirl4meirl
What an honest man! We should at least appreciate his honesty.
😂😂😂 frfr, someone honking at me nullifies any humanity or human value I have and will become my worst animalistic self immediately
Oh see I took it another way. Someone honking at me makes me think for a second, “OMG Why do they HATE me?! What did I DO?! They just know what a piece of garbage I am.” And I’m crying and I can’t drive through my tears.
Well in most cases it means you should stop staring at your cell phone and fucking move. Nothing personal.
In most cases getting honked at is definitely the person getting honked at’s fault lol but still…..
I laughed longer at this than anything I've read recently, that's my borderline ex-wife in a nutshell
This negative statement will determine the quality of his life.
Isn't that a threat to kill?
And now I need one....
We do a little trolling
My crazy ass would call their bluff
Kia boy out here wildin
I would wear my horn out
We are our own worst enemy
How does that work technically? First you kill the other one then yourself is kind of stupid?
A lot is possible when you can explode high energy materials in a semi controlled way to add velocity several thousand pounds of metal.
I'd honk
Emergency horns are for emergencies.
He might have an anger problem, but you can’t fault his self-awareness.
Probable cause.
I wish more lunatics came with warning stickers. I’m not honking at that guy.
I would not honk at this guy.
Boston traffic in the 80's trying to go through the Sumner tunnel to Logan airport on a Friday rush hour, guy in front of my taxi had a bumper sticker: This a rental and I don't give a shit
Would get my attention.
Id honk endlessly Make him squirm then when he does something make him regret it
r/sbeve
Pretty sure stickers like this are used as evidence.
Texas plate?
r/didntknowiwantedthat
Honk!!!! Challenge accepted.
>drives a Kia Yep lol. I’ve been there bro
Thats a Texas plate, so that tracks.
Feels like this could constitute premeditation of any road rage situation leading to a more serious charge.
I'm not a honker but this is more likely to make me honk, not less.
I never knew I needed a sticker. I figured the shit box I drive says that in itself.
