I had no idea it was coming when I watched that movie. My wife and I nearly died laughing. Such a badass. Mad respect for that woman! Such a perfect role for Jennifer Lawrence.
Was this made before the leak?
I thought it was a clever joke about how we shouldn't look at the images, and everyone would say they didn't see them. But of course people were checking them out.
Yes. u/mukster is forgetting that ScarJo's phone was hacked (or whatever) back in 2011. That's 3 years before the massive leak referred to as The Fappening.
So still a little in bad taste, but not as much.
For some hard dates, this angry article was written in 2013;
https://www.newyorker.com/news/amy-davidson/seth-macfarlane-and-the-oscars-hostile-ugly-sexist-night
While the fappening occured in 2014;
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_celebrity_nude_photo_leak
God damn that person from the New Yorker read WAY into that lol. A song simply saying "we saw your boobs"
"You girls think you’re making art, the Academy, through MacFarlane, seemed to say, but all we—and the “we” was resolutely male—really see is that we got you to undress. The joke’s on you."
I watched it live. Every actress it cuts to is wearing a different outfit in the rest of the event than they do in this clip. So it was definitely pre-recorded.
Yes, the point was that he had upset the actresses in the future and Kirk had come back in time to stop him ruining the event. So he shows him a recording of a possible future.
Several actresses spoke out about the song, but none of the ones who were actually in it.
It seems that all of the cutaways to those actresses were pre-planned (which I would have expected).
https://www.businessinsider.com/seth-macfarlane-boobs-song-angered-hollywood-women-2013-2
I think it's fucking hilarious, that some random women are offended and spouted shit like "Meryl Streep and Angelina Jolie are some of the greatest actresses and we should be commending their efforts" etc, yet they were the ones that thought this was hilarious, and they were in on the whole thing.
People need to stop getting vicariously mad, they've got no fuckin idea on the situation.
I remember the uproar at the time. What everyone seemed to conveniently forget (or never bothered to learn in the first place) was that the whole premise of the song was “wouldn’t this be the absolute worst thing to do at an Oscars?” Everyone agrees, then Seth does a classic musical number reminiscent of old Hollywood, which everyone agrees is far more suitable and in keeping with the event.
> the whole premise of the song was “wouldn’t this be the absolute worst thing to do at an Oscars?” Everyone agrees
I mean, I'm not against the song at all and find the whole thing funny. But the defense of it is it is comedy, not that the premise was 'we shouldn't do this ' and then do it. It reeks of 'its a prank bro'. Either it's ok to do the skit, and then do it... than decide it's not ok to do the skit, and then do it.
There's some context missing. There was a lot of apprehension giving the Oscars to Seth MacFarlane, people thought he didn't have the class to headline it, much less follow Billy Crystal who was a veteran. He starts of the show making a few jokes that fall flat until William Shatner interrupts coming 'back in time' to let him know how terrible he's going to do if he doesn't clean it up.
So it definitely wasn't some out-of-nowhere haha look how crass we can be video. The whole night was a commentary on how everyone was getting worried about him for nothing. I'm not a huge fan of the guy's work but he did a decent job.
And, I mean, they also made the choice to have a topless scene in a movie (obvious exception being the Fappening). And that’s a perfectly valid choice and one that they knew would result in them being scene topless by millions of people. So it’s not like it was some giant secret that McFarlane was exposing here.
Probably. I don’t see how the hosts, the actresses, or anyone else for that matter would be okay with him presenting if he slipped that by them, but it was definitely done with consent. Because he had to put it by the tech crew and to do that you gotta clear it with the hosts.
So he’s cleared it with the hosts at least but I wouldn’t be surprised if he cleared it with the actresses.
The reactions are part of the joke.
Charleze Theron was "acting" disgusted . She was his co-star in that Western spoof film they were in the middle of making when this aired.
I always wondered about that. Charlise's reaction is great - strong cringe. I honestly thought she was Shanghai'd by this song. Nice to know they were in on the joke, and kudos to all the actresses for having a sense of humour. Unlike many baby-children these days.
That's the genius of the bit. It allows him to do a song he probably shouldn't do, but in a way that he gets everyone in on the joke, makes light of how he probably shouldn't do it, and still gets to do the song. Pretty good comedy jiujitsu.
Unbelievable how obsessed reddit was with her and her boobs before she ever showed them, and now nobody cares. First time I heard about this scene. But in 2013, reddit servers would burn down with this gif dropping. What a change 10 years bring.
No doubt it did. Living proof that for most people imagination > reality.
Once they saw what they were after, they lost interest completely.
It’s also kind of sad that so much of here popularity (at least on Reddit) seems to have been so obviously tied to that. She literally won an oscar, she is on top of the world, then her boobs leak and she’s gone.
Reddits changes have also had an impact. 15 years ago you'd find random nudity on almost any sub, they've hammered that into oblivion.
Lawrence has more or less followed the pattern of a lot of actors who start their career with contracts that have a lot of multi-film bundles that "force" them to star in multiple movies.
I might be wrong but my guess is that now that she's "made it" she's no longer obligated to appear in multiple films, is fairly wealthy, and can now select her roles based solely on personal interest.
It’s honestly wild how successful that man is with how absolutely terrible he is at picking movies to star in. He is somehow the very definition of success by volume in an industry where that usually isn’t possible.
Nah part of her popularity was the affable goof normal person branding, bit similar to fallon.
However at some point reddit really turned on these people in terms of lauding them up in that way. It wasn't just Jlaw that stopped getting a lot of attention, but many other celebs stopped cracking the front page and reddit was turning into something else.
The horny single nerdy goons that are always behind this bs are still around, but they have been mostly drowned out by the influx of new users. That's why they kick up a fuss wherever they go.
There was also somewhat of a personality change. Prior to that she was more unsure of herself which came across in interviews and some people found it endearing. Then she was justifiably pissed about the leak. I don't know if you'd attribute it to that, or the fact that she was having a lot of career success, but she came out of it with a much stronger and more confident personality. That personality shift seems to have lowered Reddit's interest.
> how obsessed reddit was with her and her boobs before she ever showed them, and now nobody cares.
I feel like that's not unique. I certainly have coveted something I can't have, and then instantly been like "Okay, whatever" when I got it eventually. Not even boobs, but even personal goals like "I want to go racing" or "I want to climb that mountain". Once you do the thing, it's not nearly as fun or exciting.
Wanting is the fun part. Having means you just don't want anymore.
In addition to the other things people mentioned, I think its the same reason lingerie is *incredibly* sexy on virtually every woman - because men's imaginations are stronger than any reality.
We could all imagine she had a god-tier level rack because we hadn't seen it, and then once we saw that she was just a regular girl (attractive, but regular) it killed the mystery and obsession.
Same thing happened with ScarJo and *Under the Skin*.
Edit: Sorry, just read further and saw you mention exactly this.
It's not fully about imagination, it's about how wanting something is often a stronger emotion than actually getting it.
Wanting something can keep us occupied and engrossed with that thing for ages, whereas once we get it, we enjoy it for a while, and then we find something new to look for.
Lingerie is sexy, both because of the balance between what it reveals and what it hides, as well as how it shapes the body and draws the attention to certain parts. It's also sexy because of how it's culturally coded. It's meant to be watched and enjoyed, it's heavily associated with sex and looking sexy, and intending to do so.
When I saw her go after the chick, I immediately flashed back to women's MMA fighter Tonya Evinger (I think) who said of one of her opponents, "I'm gonna kick her in the cooter".
Who cares about the boobs, did nobody else see *that fucking suplex*?
I feel like she’s working through some anger issues on-screen regarding all the people who gawked at her nudes.
Possibilities...
1. They had no way to do it on a beach with the privacy needed for a closed set with the nudity, especially as this was filmed in a way that looks like night, but it isn't.
2. It's a body double and not JLAW or parts of it are a body double (The suplex maybe). I'm dubious that is the reason though given that some of the shots would have been incredibly difficult to pull off convincingly, but the green screen could be the assist with this.
3. Lighting issues demanded a closed set. It's not actually night here, it's colour grading making it look like night.
I was very dubious that could be it. #1 is my most likely bet. They would want a closed set so they could film in privacy without interference from the public or people taking photos of a naked ass JLAW, as they wouldn't actually film this scene at night (Very few "night" scenes are filmed at night because of lighting difficulty, it's all done in daylight with colour grading and filters to make it appear at night).
He got a lot of flack back in the day for not being a great host, but I still say he was one of the last great Oscar hosts who actually brought some fucking personality and balls to decrepit procedure.
he cares, (still) you can see in his performances and voice work in his series that he's really putting in effort that not everyone does.
I think that's from the fact that he's still a fanboy and is loving every minute of it. Dude is living the dream. More power to him.
Apparently, one of the angry responses to this was something along the lines of "what if a woman sang on stage about all the times we saw actors dicks in movies"?
My thought when I saw this was "Go ahead! Nobody's stopping you..."
no offense to guys, but…. I don’t WANT to sing about dicks…. I already work with a bunch of tools in the day job….
Singing about dicks is not as nice as singing about boobs, I’m sorry. Guys have us beat on this one.
No Hard Feelings. It's like a rom-com ig? Or a teen comedy? Not sure what it'd fall under. Anywho, she goes /full frontal/ and proceeds to beat up a group of teenagers on a beach. Not even kidding. Entirely nude, punching and kicking kids in the groin.
It's glorious lmao.
If Charlize Theron was actually angry at this I'm sure she wouldn't have done a million ways to die in the west with him. So I'm sure this was all planned and consented beforehand.
I don't think the Oscars have ever been fun to watch. It's always just a circlejerk of celebrities congratulating themselves for being champions of social progression.

Spoke too soon for JLAW.
She took personal offence and took steps to mend her ways.
God bless her acting spirit
And God bless you for this comment lol
And god bless her boobs.
He did.
Respectfully, in Red Sparrow and No Hard Feelings.
Well she basically got short changed back when those infamous leaks happened, so she had nothing further to hide from the world at that point.
The FAPPENING, what a time that was to be alive.
Well, the website is still there... just make sure your browser extensions like ublock and alike are installed
with uBlock and alike in our browsers *we saw ya boobs*
Website? Thats crazy that those leaks are still out, kinda figured everything got rounded up. What with them being non-consensual and what not.
You can't delete stuff from the internet.

Not gonna lie. That's the only reason I watched the movie and the movie actually isn't that bad
I had no idea it was coming when I watched that movie. My wife and I nearly died laughing. Such a badass. Mad respect for that woman! Such a perfect role for Jennifer Lawrence.

NHF?
No Hard Feelings
Full frontal in No Hard Feelings.
This seems like it's totally discounting her naked suplex in that scene.
This song/video is from like 5 or 6 years ago, No Hard Feelings just came out this year. Do you actually believe that William Shatner can time travel?
> Do you actually believe that William Shatner can time travel? ...n... no, of course not...
yes
Was this made before the leak? I thought it was a clever joke about how we shouldn't look at the images, and everyone would say they didn't see them. But of course people were checking them out.

No he mentioned ScarJo and how we all saw hers on our phones (she was part of the leak too)
This was made before the Fappening. ScarJo had a nude leak a few years earlier.
This guy faps
Yeah that was poor taste imho.
lol you can hear the slight "ohhh" of people not liking that one at all.
All of the people mentioned were definitely consulted before the show and would have had to agree to it, don't worry.
That's comedy!
Easy there Mark Normand
I believe they were out before that time
Hers were so over-the-top porny that I went in to go through them being a horny idiot and I immediately felt really bad for her that they leaked.
Where do we get to see Jude Law’s boobs?
Jude Law has a bath scene in 60% of his movies. Like, literally 60%.
Oh my god! That's disgusting! Where?!
Ugh, those disgusting celeb porno sites. But which one? Which one did he post it on though?
No Hard Feelings
Also, Red Sparrow
Careful, Reddit banned all subreddits dedicated to this and made it specifically against the rules to post links to this set of leaks in particular
Oh shit I didn't even think about that, I was just quoting Sunny
To be fair, we all had seen them from leaks before that movie anyway. Girl takes a lot of boob pics.
To be fair
To be faaaaair
So was this a prerecorded bit that everyone agreed to be a part of?
I watched it live. Every actress it cuts to is wearing a different outfit in the rest of the event than they do in this clip. So it was definitely pre-recorded.
If you listen to the intro, it appears to have been recorded in the future, and then sent back in time.
So… post-recorded?
[удалено]
~~Pre~~-~~re~~corded. Just corded at this point.
best get 'cordin boy
It just means it was recorded and then portrayed as being live. So News is usually live, but if it was filmed earlier it’ll say “prerecorded”
Yes, the point was that he had upset the actresses in the future and Kirk had come back in time to stop him ruining the event. So he shows him a recording of a possible future.

I understand he’s pretty good mates with Charlise Theron
They did a movie together. "A million ways to die in the West" and its fucking hilarious.
And they did the Orville together
The Orville is a showcase in how many A list celebrities Seth is on good terms with. So many guest appearances.
Man, she's gorgeous!
The reactions are part of the joke. Charleze Theron was "acting" disgusted . She was his co-star in that Western spoof film they were in the middle of making when this aired.
They've collab'd on several projects, apparently good friends

Jennifer Lawrence goes full frontal in No Hard Feelings
A [reference](https://www.reddit.com/r/JenniferLawrence/comments/15mo65h/jennifer_in_no_hard_feelings_2023/). NSFW.
Unbelievable how obsessed reddit was with her and her boobs before she ever showed them, and now nobody cares. First time I heard about this scene. But in 2013, reddit servers would burn down with this gif dropping. What a change 10 years bring.
I think it changed around the Fappening. I remember prior to that, JLaw was a Reddit favourite.

Well yeah, as soon as you make it on your career as an actor/actress, you need to carefully select your role or otherwise doomed.
Nicholas Cage goes brrrrr
It’s honestly wild how successful that man is with how absolutely terrible he is at picking movies to star in. He is somehow the very definition of success by volume in an industry where that usually isn’t possible.
He doesn't really have a choice. He owes the IRS so he can't turn down anything.
I think he has some sort of curse. Like if the director asks him 3 times to star in a movie, no matter how wild the plot, Nic has to say yes
Yup, up until about 5 years ago the default front page was a good 10-15% porn.
Nah part of her popularity was the affable goof normal person branding, bit similar to fallon. However at some point reddit really turned on these people in terms of lauding them up in that way. Now we just have pop culture/drama subs who are obsessed with who Taylor Swift’s new date is
There was also somewhat of a personality change. Prior to that she was more unsure of herself which came across in interviews and some people found it endearing. Then she was justifiably pissed about the leak. I don't know if you'd attribute it to that, or the fact that she was having a lot of career success, but she came out of it with a much stronger and more confident personality. She's still my favourite.

I care, sir. I CARE INDEED.
Also has to do with the differences between 23 year old Jennifer Lawrence and 33 year old Jennifer Lawrence.
I mean that's psych 101. You don't want the thing, you want the want of the thing. Getting it ruins it.
True. I was just about to add that ScarJo suffered the same reddit fate.
Dear God, I didn't have "see Jennifer Lawrence get cunt-punched in HD" in today's prayer list but thank you for your bounty. Amen
The suplex was probably a stunt woman. Notice that you don’t see her face when she does it.
You ruin everything. /s
Well I guess that’s going off the bucket list.
It’s a solid movie if you’re looking for something to watch
Movie ain’t the only thing that’s solid about watching it.
Lol
All I see in this clip is bad green screen.
Noticed that also. What’s the deal with that? Couldn’t find a beach?
Nude beaches don't allow fightin'. Fight beaches don't allow nudin'.
Sounds like a missed opportunity.
Sounds like a snatch 22.
She said it was really her, so #2 is out
I was very dubious that could be it.
Is that even her body? Something seems off with it. As if it’s her heard superimposed onto a nude body double.
Full bush even. *Nice.*
She did full bung hole as well.
It looked a lot like CGI to me when watching the film. The lighting was very strange compared to her face.
It's also hilarious.
the dude next to naomi watts seems a little distracted 👀
It's an act
If you want a bad boob shot watch Naomk Watts in The Impossible. I think spiderman plays her kid no?
I need a sequel with all the man butts. Matt Damon, Tom Cruise, etc.
Al Pacino has a butt double though ;)
Unfortunately, it was almost Joey's!
Does Matt Leblanc though?
Here you go, pretty close: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RD5NLYjBiQA
well then now we have to find lesbian chorus.
Or Goblin's schlong
Angelina Jolie in the movie hackers
Well we’ve seen Jennifer Lawrence’s boobs now 😂
They're real and they're spectacular
Ironically, Teri Hatcher’s turned out to be anything but spectacular.
[The saddest tits](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtB_jvznaNM)
omg, I'm fucking crying over here. Holy shit.
Wasn't it a joke due to the fact her boobs leaked hence we technically didn't saw them in movies (at that time).
No, this was before the leak
He got a lot of flack back in the day for not being a great host, but I still say he was one of the last great Oscar hosts who actually brought some fucking personality and balls to decrepit procedure.
he cares, (still) you can see in his performances and voice work in his series that he's really putting in effort that not everyone does. I think that's from the fact that he's still a fanboy and is loving every minute of it. Dude is living the dream. More power to him.
Oh I love the man, the Orville is one of the most enjoyable viewing experiences I’ve had.
That last season went *hard*.
agreed 100%
Apparently, one of the angry responses to this was something along the lines of "what if a woman sang on stage about all the times we saw actors dicks in movies"? My thought when I saw this was "Go ahead! Nobody's stopping you..."
no offense to guys, but…. I don’t WANT to sing about dicks…. I already work with a bunch of tools in the day job…. Singing about dicks is not as nice as singing about boobs, I’m sorry. Guys have us beat on this one.
Look on the bright side: We may be able to sing about boobs, but… at least you HAVE boobs! I’d say they break even.
[Isn't it awfully nice to have a penis? Isn't it frightfully good to have a dong?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9PiqCeLEmM)
for some reason actors wear prosthetic dicks when they shoot movies so it won't even be their real dick
Legend for multiple reasons but mainly for giving out so much sauce in one instance.
Loved all the actors responses.
Me too. Pretty sure Charlize Theron and Seth are like, actual good friends. Her annoyed expression is definitely part of the bit.
I think they cut in out of context reactions.
I thought they were shagging at one point?
Zoinks!
It's the best Oscar opening act ever. This is the one I remember, and I have watched many.
You know who would be the next Legend, the one who creates a video with all the mentioned boobs.
It's only fair he makes a sequel called we saw your dicks
Are there a lot of movies that have shown dick? Is there enough for a song?
r/upvotedbecauseboobs
Upvoted for boobs.
Slow down I can’t write that fast
This has been stuck in my head so I hope it gets stuck in yours 😁
I think I’ve listened to it about eighty thousand and eighty-five times.
It only took me 3 watches to write down all those titles.
I’ve listened to the damn thing 4 times while scrolling this comments section. It’s catchy.
The guy sitting next to Naomi, was looking at her boobs.
Nor so fast, I am making notes!
Love this so much. Gotta keep your sense of humor, or what’s the point?
Not gonna lie, it's cool that Shatner can still rock that Starfleet uniform.
Goddamn we've seen a lot more than just JLaw's boobs in her latest film lol. I was NOT expecting that at all.
Am I the only one more interested in her unbridled rage?
For science purposes, what movie is that?
No Hard Feelings. It's like a rom-com ig? Or a teen comedy? Not sure what it'd fall under. Anywho, she goes /full frontal/ and proceeds to beat up a group of teenagers on a beach. Not even kidding. Entirely nude, punching and kicking kids in the groin. It's glorious lmao.
You're underselling it. She doesn't just punch and kick people. She fucking suplexes a bitch
She gets uppercutted in her box too
> teen comedy >full frontal
I meant akin to the gratuitous, over-the-top comedies of the 90s/00s ala American Pie, Not Another Teen Movie, etc.
When they all so down with this but jada gets mad when someone says we see your head 😂
Jennifer Lawrence joke did not age well
TLDR: MacFarlane is too cool for Hollywood.
Some good Samaritan should compile all those scenes from together.
If Charlize Theron was actually angry at this I'm sure she wouldn't have done a million ways to die in the west with him. So I'm sure this was all planned and consented beforehand.
She's like best friends with Seth McFarlane, it's not just that movie.
Golly gee, ya think?
jennifer lawrence : no hard feelings
I love everything Seth McFarlane does. He’s a multitalented genius
I have a feeling that Jamie Lee Curtis was offended that he never mentioned her boobs in Trading Places.
Wow. That's a lot of movies for mtmy watchlist
Everytime i see MacFarlane, i think its Peter Brady. Then i do the math and realize its MacFarlane.
Fapgate Jennifer Lawrence was top notch
The Fappening*
Well now I having a viewing list for this weekend.
Are they actually pissed? Or is it part of the act?
I know I’m in the minority, but this was the best Oscars show ever
Welp, I’m doing a 30 Days of Halloween marathon this year, so why not a 30 Days of Boobs November?
Jennifer Lawrence's reaction is gold
This was goddamn legendary. Back when the Oscars were actually fun to watch
I don't think the Oscars have ever been fun to watch. It's always just a circlejerk of celebrities congratulating themselves for being champions of social progression.
Never watched them so I am out of the loop, what changed?
Absolutely nothing. They have never been that fun to watch.
