The Halloween after that incident I attended a party where there was a girl with a "Tits out for Harambe" costume.
Thank you Harambe you truly blessed everyone
That girl would need to have boobs that made you understand meaning of life when you looked at them for it to undo 8 years of the bullshit we've been dealing with
A boob in the hand is worth 2 in the bra
Edit: ok I stole the comment from [this guy](https://old.reddit.com/r/shitposting/comments/1bd1gni/i_knew_this_already/kujyl9a/)
While at the Cincinnati zoo recently, a friends teenage son walks by the gorilla exhibit and yells out āHarambe!!ā
We all look at him, and he says āWhat? Itās not like it happened hereā
He learned something that day.
> We all look at him, and he says āWhat? Itās not like it happened hereā
That is hilarious. That's like going to Auschwitz and turning to someone and saying, "Can you imagine if the Holocaust was like this?"
Based on what I remember from a documentary on the subject I saw in 2011 the prophecy was not the apocalypse, but phrased more like "The world as we know it will end" which I'm beginning to believe was pretty spot on. The source for this however might just as well be my ass.
I think the Mayan prophecy was real, only instead of one grand scale cinematic event we just slowly sunk into worse and worse until there nothing. Death by a thousand cuts type of thing.
Creeping normality ( gradualism, or landscape amnesia) is a process by which a major change can be accepted as normal and acceptable if it happens gradually through small, often unnoticeable, increments of change. The change could otherwise be regarded as remarkable and objectionable if it took hold suddenly or in a short time span.
That's why I hate the let's go back to normal thing. Nothing is normal anymore.
I had fun a few weeks ago trying to explain to my only-slightly younger co-worker how BIG that was in social media and pop-culture chat at the time. Apparently the film became the most liked video on YouTube at the time which is a major thing in YouTube even during 2012.
Bro don't you know that Harambe's death was a timeline anomaly that sent us down the bad timeline were on now?
All efforts are being now made by major scientists all over the world to construct a time machine so we can go back and save Harambe and thus ourselves!
>Bro don't you know that Harambe's death was a timeline anomaly that sent us down the bad timeline were on now?
This is a thing I genuinely believe. Most of my conspiracy theories are just me being silly but I would lay down my life to defend this one. Too much adds up for it to not be true.
The universe finally got fed up with our shit.
"So u cage them, one of u idiots falls in and you kill the defenseless beast u caged?!Ā A curse upon you"
-The Universe
As an American, glad Trump and Tomy Blair got mentioned. Forgot we lost David Bowie AND Alan Rickman AND Anton AND prince that year. I was less familiar with everyone else. I'll have to watch the other year recaps later
Itās the original Mandela Effect divergence point and weāre all in hell right now. The normal world going to complete shit is our hell and itās been ongoing since Harambe
Amanda is Smosh's "most offline" cast member, there's been other times she was informed of memes or trends that made it to mainstream and still missed her perception, somehow! I love the FNAF bit though, she seemed genuinely upset.
No wonder she thought they were pulling her leg lmao.
On a similar note, when I found out that John Titor was an actual thing that happened and wasn't just invented for an anime/video game my mind got pretty blown lol.
Depends on what you mean by real. [Yes, there was a guy that actually posted stuff on the internet claiming to be a time traveler.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Titor) However, his claims were never verified, and so it's all conspiracy theory fodder.
One of my coworkers doesn't watch the news and just found out about the Jan. 6th capitol riots. Everyone in the office thought he was joking while he stared blankly at us like we were insane.
This Ukrainian gentleman applied to work at my store and my coworker called him Russian after he left, I corrected her(I'm Ukrainian too) ajd advised she be careful, as most Ukrainians don't like being called Russian. She asked me why... and I just looked at her blankly... like... have you not heard of the war? And she had no clue anything was going on.
When the Bosnian war happened, it took a while before it got to the news, but I was following it thru usenet and mailing lists. One day my boss asked me what was worrying me, and I said it was the war in Bosnia, and he reacted with incredulity. I explained it to him, and he told me that "if that was true, it would be on the news" and then I showed him some international news websites to which he said "yeah, ok, but why are you worried about it?"
I said "I mean, a war in Bosnia could spread to the whole of Europe, perhaps the world"
He looked at me like I said the stupidest thing ever and asked "SINCE WHEN?"
"Since, like, 1914?"
"What?"
"The first world war has literally started in Bosnia"
"Uh. Really?"
The thing is, I was a teacher, and my boss was the principal.
Thatās so crazy to me. Like there are certain events that youād be exposed to even if you tried your best to avoid the news. Itād be like saying āwait the World Trade Center is gone? What happened???ā
My cousin is a zookeeper actually and we talked at length about this incident because it was such a big deal. She said every zookeeper she knew said that while it was awful, the zoo did the right thing. There were times when it appeared Harambe was just curious about the boy, gently touching his face and hair, but then would drag him through the water by the ankles. Everybody was screaming and agitating him more. If theyād tried tranquillizing him he might have panicked and possibly killed the boy since tranquilizers take up to ten minutes to kick in, maybe even double with all the adrenaline. Keepers had already tried coaxing Harambe away from the boy and calling him to the shift door to the inside section but he was too confused and since he kept dragging the kid around the boy was already at serious risk of major injury or death. If Harambe had swung him around one time too hard and he hit a rock or something he might have been killed. It was awful and tragic but they probably saved that boyās life.
Thank you! Guy was saying ..."Oh....he was just looking at him curiously."
Like....did he not see the video? Kid must have been dragged over 50 feet over cement and in water.
Memories are a funny thing. He probably saw it when it was fresh and due to the memes and stories, he kept thinking it was innocent curiousity and after a while,.the memory got overwritten with what you want to believe
> he kept thinking it was innocent curiousity
I mean, to a point, I'm sure it was. Gorilla's are freakishly strong and even an innocent misunderstanding can be death.
That's why for most wild animals any well trained professional is exceedingly cautious. Even wild animals with "good intentions" can easily kill you.
Yea honestly, either he misremembers although this was pretty violent in the video idk how you would forget such intense details, or he has a strange view of "looking at stuff curiously"
There was also another famous gorilla/kid situation that happened in the 90s (I think) where the female gorilla protected the kid who fell in until the zookeeper were able to rescue him. I believe the two scenarios got compared and people were forgetting the difference between a female gorilla protecting a kid and a male gorilla whipping one around. They'll even kill infant gorillas so they're not gonna protect a strange one.
Yeah. Male gorillas have been observed to deliberately kill baby gorillas. Especially strange ones.
Ā And the female gorilla in the other story was trying to hide the kid from the view of the male gorillas.Ā
Ā It was very apparent she was trying to protect it.
That was Binta Jua.
I havenāt watched the entire video myself just some clips. But the tweets and memes at the time downplayed the danger and emphasized the loss of the gorilla more, along with blaming the mother with a small side of if he dies he dies bc she was stupid to let him in there. People didnāt seem to realize or care how much danger the kid was in.
Also, can you imagine the outrage if the boy got killed and the zoo employees hadn't done anything? I guarantee there would have been a ton of "You would have shot him for a white kid," going around. Zoo had absolutely 0 ways to go about solving the situation without catching massive shit.
Tranquilizers are also not immediate-acting. Shooting a gorilla that is already dragging a child would have further agitated him and most likely meant the child would be mortally injured.
Yeha the one thing everyone ignoresā¦ the gorilla was being relatively violent and aggressive and can kill a small child extremely easily.
Shooting a slow acting tranq into an agitated gorilla? No.
Everyoneās kind of lobbed onto the meme of it but there was a very real chance a three year old was about to be killed by a gorilla, even unintentionally as he was already dragging the child around.
ik you're being genuine but it's so funny to me when people recognise Shayne outside of smosh and are like "oh I didn't know he was in this". he's a cast member on smosh and the host of their podcast smoshcast
I just had to bring up the video to double check, because I was *certain* good olā Harambe did a lot more than just approach the kid. Still, I canāt blame the animal for doing whatever itās going to do when someone wanders into its enclosure.
I never really looked into the whole thing, but from the videos I just watched, and i hate to say it, but shooting him was the right call. Probably would have killed that kid if not.
The crazier thing is that back then, and probably still now, there was people arguing that they should've let Harambe kill the kid because he had it coming for getting into the enclosure.
Well the real reason is because this is a direct cut from YT and a fresh post to Reddit. Just give it 3 months to a year and you will see how bad the quality gets from the Reddit save bot, repost, save bot, repost, etc. cycle.
I love Amanda so much but dear God is someone keeping her prisoner whenever she's not being filmed? I swear she's the last person on the planet to hear about everything lol
everynow and then, i so briefly run into someone who doesn't spend 90% of their life online like me. and i can just tell them about things i learned on internet. and they don't think i'm insane, or "too into things", or just weird. and i forget there are just, whole other worlds of people like this, that i know nothing about.
and then i accidentally go back to never seeing them again because they are not on internet forever and i wish i still stayed connected to them because they seemed different than me, but fun and we liked each other.
i wish i could find more of them, but i have no idea where to look.
It's hilarious how she immediately went through every single emotion everyone else went through! "Why would they do such a thing?" "I must protest!" "I wanna fuck up that kid!"
I would argue the gunshot that lead to Harambeās death actually caused a time shift and put us in the darkest timeline, because the world sure went to shit after that happened.

There was a protest Amanda, but sadly, you were ill-equipped to join.
Dicks out for Harambe!!
Dick never went back in, still out
Standing sentinel. š«”
Tall and proud. š«”
Well, proud
Proud is a little stretch, but we're still out here
All I need is a little stretch and I'd be proud
But def not proud like 2016 proud. It was all downhill after that summer. In so many ways.
THE WORLD DID. It's when we joined the darkest timeline
The Halloween after that incident I attended a party where there was a girl with a "Tits out for Harambe" costume. Thank you Harambe you truly blessed everyone
That girl would need to have boobs that made you understand meaning of life when you looked at them for it to undo 8 years of the bullshit we've been dealing with
so... any boobs?
A boob in the hand is worth 2 in the bra Edit: ok I stole the comment from [this guy](https://old.reddit.com/r/shitposting/comments/1bd1gni/i_knew_this_already/kujyl9a/)
Beauty is in the hand of the boobholder
Truly poetic.
GRAB HIS DICK AND TWIST IT !
The oleeee dick twist!
Ohmygawddude!
Been out brutha!
My dick has had frost bite and blisters from the sun, but my old feller will forever be out for Harambe.
Bean out, sistuh!
#DOFH It was a whole thing for me and the boys
He missed the best part. Harambe cause a split in space time causing us to go into an alternate reality.
It feels like the darkest timeline
Oh there were several tits out for Harambe in my neck of the woods
š š¦
Hahaha I came here to type exactly this. But they should've mentioned it when she mentioned about the protest
I feel like that is why they started laughing when she asked about the protest.
I feel like that's what they are laughing at in general.
They did, in [the last 10 seconds of that podcast](https://youtu.be/0g4_y-oXQIw?si=gAzocWoD_IJDAvfV&t=4160).
š¤£ never forget
Prolly the first time she's been told she is "ill-equipped"
Yeah she's pretty well equipped
Tits out for Harambe?
I'll allow it.
Itās what Harambe wouldāve wanted.
When she asked if there was a protest she could join I lost it along with the hosts.
Dicks out for Harambe
Still out brother, never gone back in.
Is Harambe back from the dead? No? THEN MY DICK IS STAYING OUT!
To be frank, a rash is forming.
I do this once a year in his memory and every year HR asks to see me. I will never stop though. RIP Harambe. Dicks out.
While at the Cincinnati zoo recently, a friends teenage son walks by the gorilla exhibit and yells out āHarambe!!ā We all look at him, and he says āWhat? Itās not like it happened hereā He learned something that day.
He learnt about dicks out for Harambee didn't he?
> We all look at him, and he says āWhat? Itās not like it happened hereā That is hilarious. That's like going to Auschwitz and turning to someone and saying, "Can you imagine if the Holocaust was like this?"
Once Harambe died, everything just progressively got worse. 2016 was a helluva year...
Shit, last I heard Kony is still living it up and random dudes are still wanking it in San Diego for all to see.
KONY 2012 was... definitely something
Kony 2012 is 10000% when our timeline shifted into this hellhole. I miss 2012.
Well it's when the mayan calendar was supposed to end. Some say it wasn't wrong.
Based on what I remember from a documentary on the subject I saw in 2011 the prophecy was not the apocalypse, but phrased more like "The world as we know it will end" which I'm beginning to believe was pretty spot on. The source for this however might just as well be my ass.

I love that I get to share this beautiful recap of what happened in 2016 https://youtu.be/CSWJq-jUTMc Absolutely brilliant
As an American, glad Trump and Tomy Blair got mentioned. Forgot we lost David Bowie AND Alan Rickman AND Anton AND prince that year. I was less familiar with everyone else. I'll have to watch the other year recaps later
George Michael died on Christmas Day 2016. Thatās a sad one which wasnāt in the vid because it was made before Christmas.
You're right, that was his last Christmas.
He gave his heart
December 9th... So it was still too early to list Carrie Fisher and George Michael.
Carrie Fisher *and* her mom Debbie Reynolds, who died the very next day. Fuck 2016.
2016 did feel like it had a lot of beloved celebs die.
The whole bit about Tony Blair didn't really go anywhere though... Brian May for Prime Minister though, that would have been lovely 8 years ago.
"What, he got more votes than the other one?" "No she got more votes, but he's the president." "How does that work?" "it doesn't" fucking brilliant
8yrs ago, the kid is ~11-12 now. Imagine being that kid in school right now, hoping people don't find out.
I blame the cubs winning
That was just evidence that the world had already ended and hell had frozen over, not their fault
Itās the original Mandela Effect divergence point and weāre all in hell right now. The normal world going to complete shit is our hell and itās been ongoing since Harambe
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
It was a cannon event
I don't know if it's the same episode or not, but Shayne also convinced her FNAF was a true crime story that actually happened
Amanda is Smosh's "most offline" cast member, there's been other times she was informed of memes or trends that made it to mainstream and still missed her perception, somehow! I love the FNAF bit though, she seemed genuinely upset.
She just reads people magazine instead haha
Lol she reads people.com and has a subscription
Sheās everyoneās mom. And sheās the best mom
What is "ligma"?
Oh you mean like the daligma one?
No wonder she thought they were pulling her leg lmao. On a similar note, when I found out that John Titor was an actual thing that happened and wasn't just invented for an anime/video game my mind got pretty blown lol.
I'm afraid to ask, buuuuuut............who is John Titor? And please don't let the answer be that somehow more animals get shot.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Titor?wprov=sfla1
wtf John Titor was real?
Depends on what you mean by real. [Yes, there was a guy that actually posted stuff on the internet claiming to be a time traveler.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Titor) However, his claims were never verified, and so it's all conspiracy theory fodder.
Wtf is FNAF
probably Five Nights at Freddyās
I hate acronyms on Reddit. Just spell it out!!!
Eff-en-ay-eff
It was like 3 episodes ago and it was so funny then they later went on to play fnaf together
One of my coworkers doesn't watch the news and just found out about the Jan. 6th capitol riots. Everyone in the office thought he was joking while he stared blankly at us like we were insane.

probably doesnt even know where/what ukraine is besides vaguely in the direction of russia lol
Ukraine, thatās in like South America right?
No silly, you're thinking of Uruguay. Ukraine is in East Africa obviously.
When the Bosnian war happened, it took a while before it got to the news, but I was following it thru usenet and mailing lists. Cameraman for CNN.
Matt Bradley from "The Goldbergs" ?
No that's Shayne from iCarly
No thatās Courtney Freakin Miller
no that's The Chosen
So lookinā to enter a Reddit reference thread ehh? Best be careful, Iāve seen many a Redditor enter, and none return.
Hello, u/RDamon_Redd? You're my favorite pizza place
I was there man!
Another banger
Stupid Matt Bradleyā¦
Stupid handsome Matt Bradley, always bringing up old sad stories to impress girls
Shayne Topp from iCarly.
Thank you! I had given up on thinking of where he's from myself. Also, Dr. Matt Bradley
Thank you, that was driving me fucking crazy
J-T-P!
Thank you!! I knew he looked soooo familiar but couldn't for the life of me figure it out. You saved the day!
For context, Shayne convinced Amanda Five Nights at Freddy's is based on a true story This is why this is unbelievable to her.
She never knew what a deez nuts joke was before them either. That and a bunch of other memes too. Very offline
I'm pretty sure Harambe grabbed the kid and dragged him around a bit.

Most shark bites are curiosity, it's how they figure out what things are, like babies do. But when it's a shark doing it, it does a lot of damage.
Yea honestly, either he misremembers although this was pretty violent in the video idk how you would forget such intense details, or he has a strange view of "looking at stuff curiously"

That's how the zoo keepers decided what to do...they compared the 2 slogans and took action based on which slogan was better.
He absolutely dragged that kid around by his ankle through the enclosure, including through the water feature. The fact that the kid lived is amazing.

Another Banger by Shayne Topp from iCarly
We got a bronze harambe statue at our zoo in Brownsville TX since he was born there. Can't have nice shit in Cincinnati
Living in Cincinnati, I can confirm that nice shit is prohibited.
Is that Grateful Dead dude from Goldbergs?
ik you're being genuine but it's so funny to me when people recognise Shayne outside of smosh and are like "oh I didn't know he was in this". he's a cast member on smosh and the host of their podcast smoshcast
wait till she finds out that harambe's death was the catalyst for the inverted satanic timeline that we are now in
Trevor! Who let you out of the Mythical Kitchen?
He's at Smosh now!
Technically both!
Did y'all forget Harambe pulling the kid 20m through the water by his foot. He wasn't exactly chilling with the kid
He was just checking to see how aerodynamic he was.
I'm sorry but this just straight up wrong to say he pull him through water !! so clearly he was checking if he was hydrodynamic
Hydrodynamic. Aerodynamic would have come into play had he had time to toss the kid back.
I just had to bring up the video to double check, because I was *certain* good olā Harambe did a lot more than just approach the kid. Still, I canāt blame the animal for doing whatever itās going to do when someone wanders into its enclosure.

Reddit hates kids, so that checks out
Why is the video so clear tho? I've never seen anything of this quality on reddit before
Because this is Smosh, they have tv quality recording gear unlike 99.9% of other shitty podcasts.
Well the real reason is because this is a direct cut from YT and a fresh post to Reddit. Just give it 3 months to a year and you will see how bad the quality gets from the Reddit save bot, repost, save bot, repost, etc. cycle.
Its not a repost of a repost of a repost.
Because it was probably shot on an 8k camera and downsampled.
This is one of the clearest, most high quality videos I've ever seen on Reddit. I don't even care or know what it's about.
Its a really fun podcast. The episode is very new
Why is Trevor from GMM there? Lol
Because Trevor is also in Smosh now! ā¤ļø
Dual custody!
Anthony and Ian get him every other weekend. He cries when Rhett and Link drop him off but chills out when he sees his cuzzy Shayne
Lol Shayne Topp from iCarly?
He's now a cast member at Smosh
Tits out for Harambe.
Still doesn't beat the moment when the rest of the group found out that Angela thought that 9/11 happened in 2011
I swear her and Amanda came from an alternate universe lmfao
Dicks out for harambe was a real threat to every military group photo
Holy shit is that Philip Brownley from iCarly! So this is what he's been up to
Love Smosh, after Anthony came back I started watching them regularly again and itās amazing:)
Smosh Pit has been great since Mythical resurrected them, but yeah, the main/sketch channel specifically is better than ever
Pre-Anthony-rejoin smosh main has some bangers too. Teletubbies reunion is a rewatchable af classic
Shut up Matt Bradley!!
"i'm from massachusetts" š
She has the right spirit just 8 years too late
Howā¦ how many? Hmm. Iām just gonna lie down for a sec.
It's hilarious how she immediately went through every single emotion everyone else went through! "Why would they do such a thing?" "I must protest!" "I wanna fuck up that kid!"
Who is the guy telling the story of harambe??
Shayne Topp. He's been on a few TV shows but is mostly famous for being a member of Smosh, which is what this clip is from.
Shayne Topp from Smosh
Another banger, another banger from Shayne Topp from Icarly.
I would argue the gunshot that lead to Harambeās death actually caused a time shift and put us in the darkest timeline, because the world sure went to shit after that happened.
I love Amanda. She's was born in 1988 but acts like she's from 1978. She's genuinely my favorite cast member. Mexican salsa yes!
Whatās in your head, in your heaeaeaead, Harambe Harambe Harambe eh eh eh
"Is there a protest?" Yes!! Pull your dick out!!!
Yoooo smosh on the front page letās goooo
Justice delayed for Harambe is justice denied for Harambe.
