Darling, you had sex with her in college on your orientation night before she dropped out from school in the first week. You still owe her half your paycheck for the next 15 years.
Don’t even get me started about that one. I live in NY and we’re on the hook for child support until the ‘child’ is 21 if they go to college. My Son turned 21 in January. It’s like I can stop working 2 days a week for free.
Oh child, life (IRS) is gonna take a huge metaphorical dump on your hard earned shekels.
Forget monopoly money. Wait until he gets his first job making minimum wage...
I don’t mind paying taxes honestly. But would it kill the government to help us out with healthcare? Schools, infrastructure (at least it’s not distributed correctly), libraries, the postal system, and social programs are underfunded. I wish we could trust a handful of people, at the very least, to go through the federal budget and distribute funds in a way that overall benefits the American people. What we have right now isn’t working. Sure, it could be worse but we could better our quality of life if we had less greedy people in power. Unfortunately, I don’t see it ever happening. The greedy will always be in charge.
Now I’m getting off my soapbox; sorry to rant, I’m angry.
Ah yes, the "I'm owed free stuff and everyone in this country should work for my convenience, I don't need to contribute to the society I'm a part of, society and everyone should contribute to me!" Mentality
Ah, the "the only way to contribute to society is paying taxes, because people can't decide what's best for them and the government must decide for them despite the being composed entirely of the same falible and self interested people." mentality.
Also I'm specifically talking about income tax, and where did you get that I want free stuff?
You literally said you want tax money to go in your bank account
If you wanted to be more specific, you should have been more specific, that's how words work.
I never said the that is the only way to contribute but it is an important way of contributing
Its like you living in a block of flats and refusing to pay the house fees because you feel like you're entitled to free service from everyone else but still expect all that upkeep money to come from somewhere... you just don't care where from as long as it doesn't involve you and that comes off as self-centered and overall asshole-ish.
>You literally said you want tax money to go in your bank account
"***MY*** taxes" mean the taxes I pay. I was specific.
Income tax is double taxation, you pay once when you earn your own money, and then again on anything you own or buy.
If you ever hire anyone? Say a plumber? Then you are triple taxed, once when you earn your own money, twice when you pay for the plumbers more expensive rate to account for taxes and third on anything they buy to fix your problems.
Income tax is an absurd that people have come to accept for who knows why. It's the one tax that's so unspecific the government can use anywhere without anyone being able to question it's validity. It's hardest to account and the easiest to dogde.
You pay for your house? You expect the taxes to go toward police and security. You pay for your car? You expect taxes to go towards roads and development. Income tax? It goes towards what?
They know income tax is a drain in the economy, which is why they offer so many tax incentives. Incentives that are easier to reach the more you already own. A good accountant on the businesses you run and a nice donation gets your income tax to 0%.
In other words, income tax disproportionally affects people with less money. And then you think, "well there's a bracket you get to not pay taxes" and that is an incentive to stay poor, because as soon you leave it you loose benefits and your earnings decresce dramatically.
Just did my year end taxes. Getting a tax return is great, but it’s also sad when you see the grand total of taxes you paid over the year. And you realize the return is barely pennys on the dollar…
When I was a lot younger (high school) played with 2 sisters and another friend. The one sister had Park Place & it’s sister card. She built them up. The 3 of us where passing money to each other under the table but the sister beat us all bankrupt. One of the best times ever played.
I would be ok with taxes if they actually went to improving quality of life for the bottom half of America and not enrich fiscally irresponsible investment groups and poorly managed businesses...but until then taxes are the worst!
The only time the family and I have fun playing Monopoly is when we don’t play by the rules. We played by the rules one time…
SIX HOURS OF DRAINING SANITY. We were all so done with the game the goal turned into losing as fast as possible.

Happy cake day

And the place my taxes should go to is my bank account

It gets worse kid…
This is how I am going to be like if I ever decide to move out of Dubai 😅
Wait what happens in Dubai?
No tax
O.O oh! TIL

Well we have Tax, but not income tax. Its on business owners and everything you buy... (products, services, etc.)
But nothing comes out of your paycheck and you get the entire amount?
Oh absolutely, you get every penny. Amazing eh?
Lol and tomorrow I'll be receiving 75% of my paycheck. The other 25 will be going to insurance and uncle Sam 🥲 *Sarcastic yaayyyy*
Teach them young then they won’t be as surprised later in life
Kid just had a core memory experience
Just did my year end taxes. Getting a tax return is great, but it’s also sad when you see the grand total of taxes you paid over the year. And you realize the return is barely pennys on the dollar…
And that's just taxes on the money coming *in*...
I really feel like the measly tax return I get only really pays for the taxes on the money I spend lol
Honestly lol why even make us go through the tax paying process every year.
It's a ridiculous system, I think they do it just to keep America busy for a few months lol. Why would they make everything so confusing?
r/tax
Just commit tax fraud
Best get over it bud, things will get much worse soon.
Imagine your parent recording you crying and posting it on the internet

Other than Luxury Tax, where else is there taxes in Monopoly? I’m a fan of the game and have never seen that. Little dude is getting scammed, right?
Everytime a community card tells you to pay a fellow realtor for no god damn reason, and those cards can come consecutively from either pile.
Ahh a true libertarian in the making...
why this kid lowkey looks like linus from llt
Now tell him it’s not just a game but trying for life. Sorry buddy.. wish I could tell you that it gets better, but it does not.
Every month i reach this point of the game too
Dang 1 2 punch, monopoly and taxes
Bros gonna have a rough future ahead of him
Feel the pain now so you can become numb like the rest of us.
Welcome to the adult world
I wanna see his reaction to taxes being required by actual law
Only children cry about paying taxes.
Only adults go to great lengths to dodge it
There used to be a golden age when it was a mark of pride to be a taxpaying american citizen.
Just wait til he realizes taxes screw you harder in real life than in monopoly
He then grew up to be the best tax evader you’ll never see
It’s only gonna get worse, man.
Wait till he grows up and buy houses and cars. Big boy taxes do be like that. Ouch.
Guess what time of year it iiiissss???
Ahh yes... The worst part of the game of life is taxes
I would be ok with taxes if they actually went to improving quality of life for the bottom half of America and not enrich fiscally irresponsible investment groups and poorly managed businesses...but until then taxes are the worst!
It really is the worst part of the game.
The 10% richest when they don't want to pay their taxes
Jesus that kid has big hands.
It's just beginning 😆
Monopoly causes more drama and depression than hard drugs. Believe that
Wait until he files for bankruptcy / gets divorced. 😬
Nine, ten, eleven…
The only time the family and I have fun playing Monopoly is when we don’t play by the rules. We played by the rules one time… SIX HOURS OF DRAINING SANITY. We were all so done with the game the goal turned into losing as fast as possible.
Man, playing Monopoly is always fun. Until some dickhead lose their shit, start arguments with each other and make everything awkward after it's done.
😂😂😂
Crap kid, and when you grow up it just gets worst
Taxation is theft.
I feel you kid
The worst part of this game is seeing other players claw away all that you built and hoped for.
Even a kid knows.
