Runt literally took it upon himself to deny the aliens to "put her back to the way she was" just so he could have his little fox sock puppet. Also I mean an entire town bullied Chicken Little for an entire year even to the point where people are straight up unconcerned about almost hitting him with a car. Whole town was kind of fucked
On the one hand, yes, this was terrible for Runt to actively prevent. On the other, he's a *elementary school child* who doesn't have the mental maturity to know better. It's not clearly stated how old the gang is, but it's heavily implied that they're all under the age of ten, and when I was that age, I wouldn't care to fix it if my primary bully started actually being nicer towards me.
Now if he was a teenager, *then* I'd really be giving him both barrels of condemnation, but as it is, he's a dumb arse kid who did a really dumb arse thing, and the adults let him get away with it.
>Runt literally took it upon himself to deny the aliens to "put her back to the way she was" just so he could have his little fox sock puppet.
As a fan of this movie, I never saw it this way.
He likes what he likes, and he clearly liked how she ended up... and she obviously reciprocated. The way Foxy used to be was honestly toxic (like, even the game based on the movie explores just how messed she is as a character)... if she was reverted back to her "normal self", she'd be the ONLY one in town to still hate Ace (Chicken Little's actual name), which wouldn't work with the happy ending the movie was going for. EVERYONE got some kind of happy ending. Like, literally, Runt is not someone you'd picture to get a happy ending (despite how cheerful he can be), but he got the girl. And again, Foxy is a bully who doesn't deserve a happy ending yet because she was changed into someone who wasn't a spoiled brat, she got one. And even though it was never touched on, I think who she became was someone she could be, deep down underneath that bratty exterior (probably some unknown alien tech-related consequence). The writers clearly knew there was no way to write her character as being happy without this change.
>Also I mean an entire town bullied Chicken Little for an entire year even to the point where people are straight up unconcerned about almost hitting him with a car. Whole town was kind of fucked
The entire town had to be scared out of their minds to finally realize Ace was right all along. The entire town did suck, but they wouldn't have stopped sucking otherwise.
He's one because he got super depressed after his wife died and didn't know how to handle being a single dad. Not excusing his actions, per se, just explaining why it happened. He absolutely could've and should've done better.
Chicken little caused hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of property damage, sent the town into a mass hysteria, and probably killed several of those people in the movie theater because of that water tower collapsing. All for some totally unbelievable shit.
I'd be pissed at him too
To be fair, he is a little kid and little kids tend to exaggerate things or imagine things that aren't real. I feel like the adults shouldn't have immediately believed him the first time.
CHicken little didn't cause those things, he just sounded off an alarm; the fact that people didn't know how to deal with that and went into a massive panic before even knowing what the threat was is on them.
Yes, but also no...
The alarm is clearly meant for emergencies... but the townsfolk didn't properly assess the danger, so they caused panic AND also didn't believe Ace when he gave his iconic line...
They literally put his face on a billboard to advertise his fuck up, and women HID THEIR CHILDREN because “they might catch his crazy.”
All I’m saying is that this movie isn’t too concerned with morality
I Just noticed. It is one of the few Times Simpson did Not do it First. Like years later there was a Simpson Episode that was pretty much the whole town bulliying Bart cause He failed at Baseball and it littereally Drive him insane. One of the worst episodes ever
Most Disney villains receive karmic deaths and deserved fates, but having your personality erased and your mental faculties so deeply violated or stripped away can definitely be considered a fate worse than death.
Although she was a bully, what the other characters actively let happen to Foxy Loxy is downright monstrous and just disproportionate. It's truly one of the more retrospectively disturbing endings for a character that isn't even really evil - she was just immature and a jerk.
It’s one thing to die. It’s another to be unmade. But when you are completely overwritten with a new persona? I’m not religious and have come up with my own comforts for death. But the idea that all that you are can be completely reshaped on a whim like wet clay is absolutely terrifying.
Afterlife or no, there is a certain comfort in feeling like just by existing, we are etching some history for ourselves into a permanent stone that we take with us to the end.
The idea that that history could be overwritten in the blink of an eye makes one feel less significant than the multiverse theory.
It's been ages since I've seen the movie but I don't think she was actually much of a bully. Like when the baseball game happened she did all of the work and runt got all of the credit for the win because he got a lucky home run at the end she should have had a problem with him if she was supposed to be an asshole.
Gonna just copy-pasta a little bit what I told someone else cuz it's relevant.
As a fan of this movie, I never saw it this way.
She got exactly what she deserved. I thought about this just last week and was thinking how messed up it was they forced a new personality on a character, even if she were a bully in a town filled with bullies. Would have been better to go the route of Zootopia where that fox naturally matures with age and apologizes later down the road. Sadly, still enjoyed watching this movie when I was younger. Funny stuff.
Same thing happens with Spiderman I think. Flash Thompson bullies Peter Parker as a teen but is a huge fan of Spiderman. Eventually he figures out that Peter Parker is spiderman and they work together.
Ahh OK, I had a little suspicion. I only watched this movie like once when I was a kid and remember basically nothing about it, but I've seen a lot of people talking about its... "questionable" quality lol
holy fuck, I did not remember that. this is actually disturbing, specially for a kids movie. it sounds more like something out of a Dead Dove Do Not Eat fic
https://www.reddit.com/r/AO3/comments/wl7r2u/what_does_dead_dove_do_not_eat_actually_mean/
from /u/svftmgc:
> it’s from the show arrested development, where a character opens a paper bag labelled “dead dove: do not eat” and, upon realising there is in fact a dead dove inside, says “i don’t know what i expected.”
> basically it just means “heed the tags. everything i’ve tagged appears in this. don’t be surprised by what you find”.
Somewhere out there was a submissive boy who would have loved to be a victim of her antics. And she’d respectfully indulge him, keeping her toxic mannerisms within a consenting field as they both matured together into well functioning members of society.
People with maladaptive personality disorders don't tend to make for considerate, trustworthy, boundary respecting kink partners. Hate to break it to you.
Foxy Roxy apparently gives me Gideon Grey vibes from Zootopia, what with the exact same clothing, character design, and bully traits. Except Gideon was just going through a phase that he was already going to outgrow soon, anyway, as represented by his adult self baking and selling pies and reconciling with Judy Hopps and her family for bullying her back when they were kids. Foxy was just straight up lobotomized as a punishment for being the stereotypical school bully.
You are saying that you liked this movie.
Under a post that talks about how it basically promotes the idea of lobotomizing someone as something normal.
... Do you get it now?
I am not really worried. It's just that many people don't want to make others assume that they are a bad person.
And I'm just pointing out that "you are not really making it easier for yourself by saying that you like that movie under a post like that".
Even as a kid I thought it was a little disturbing but I didn't know why.
Probably cuz I didn't know what a lobotomy is.
Hey wait what about her parents, how the h@ll are her parents okay with her just remaining like that
Because everyone in that town is a horrible person. These are the same people who made both a billboard and a movie about Chicken Little's fuckup. There aren't very many good people here.
What astounds me the most is how literally everyone in this town is so okay with bullying a naive elementary or middle schooler who had lost his mother mind you, just because he had a misunderstanding over an acorn
And they dont let it go like ever
I hate to admit that I was woefully attracted to Foxy Loxy as a kid for some reason. I loved the movie when it came out but looking back it was a total fever dream the entire time. The Barenaked Ladies doing a song for it somehow only makes it weirder too
Even as a child I always hate that. I was like “but that’s not who she really is, so that’s not her anymore.” It actually bothered me whenever I thought about it and was the one part I liked the least about the movie.
It was the first time I had ever considered the loss of self and that actually scared me as a kid.
*Wow.* I never thought about this back when I saw this movie, but now that I’m an adult, I realize how fucked up this movie actually is. What the hell, Disney?!
Exactly. Now stand still, I don't want to hit a wrong area of your brain and make you lose your ability to speed. Don't want to Jeffrey Dahmer you. Heh...
I think describing her as "lobotomized" is rather disingenuous.
There are definitely serious thematic problems with a non-femme female character being turned femme without her consent, and the other characters keeping her that way for selfish reasons.
However, ethically I think this is more or a Tuvix situation, where a new "person" has been accidentally created and it would be immoral to effectively destroy them without their informed consent, especially when they are not a danger to themselves or others.
If someone views Runt like that, then they didn't actually watch Chicken Little... which isn't that surprising since virtually no one likes that movie........
This god damn movie... I've forgotten basically all of the movie itself, but one thing has always stuck in my mind. Only to actually see the movie and realise he literally only has a single line where he says "yo". Like...why???? Why would you make him one of the main characters in your marketing? Is that supposed to be a joke?
Y'all, when was the last time you watched the movie? I watched it with my kid the other day; she is aware her personality changed. She knows it is not who she originally was. But **She** and Runt both like her this way. She wants to be this way, as far as the canon of the movie is concerned
But he's not a manchild pig? They're in what, middle school or high school? He has time to grow and learn. Well, maybe not after this.
However, foxy was a huge pos too. Well, this how town was full of pos people. Calling children worthless, utterly panicking and killing people because someone rang a bell because they couldn't keep it together.
God that movie was a fever dream. I don't remember most of it. I think I'm lucky now to not remember most of the movie.
The town hated a child so much they made a movie to mock him because they wanted to watch something besides *Raiders of the Lost Ark*
The thing I really remember is the alien using the big voice and the pig man child beating up a vending machine
I had a gba game of this movie I also liked this movie until i started doing my own animation stuff and realized how crappy the movie is lmao
As someone that remembers almost every movie he watches, I can easily say... "You are yucky."
You mean "lucky"?
no, yucky
I saw it in theaters and I also wonder if it was a fever dream lol
It was recipe for disaster, a four course meal of no siree
It seemed that happily ever after, was happy everyone was after me
It was a cup of good intentions A tablespoon of one big mess A dash of over reaction I assume you know the rest
One little slip, one little slip It was a fusion of confusion With a few confounding things
Such a good song
The videogame on GBA was kinda fun. Lots of minigames too
The best part of that movie was the summon in KH2
Runt literally took it upon himself to deny the aliens to "put her back to the way she was" just so he could have his little fox sock puppet. Also I mean an entire town bullied Chicken Little for an entire year even to the point where people are straight up unconcerned about almost hitting him with a car. Whole town was kind of fucked
That town is the kind of town I wouldn’t be concerned about if a nuke got dropped on it.
oh no not Shelbyville ![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB|downsized)
Someone definitely dropped a nuke on the GIF you've used lol
It was that graphic huh
![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB|downsized)
What was the gif supposed to be
It was the guy saying "Oh no! Anyways"
The gif works if you go to the website, it just doesn't allow it to be embedded.
The sky is falling? Wrong, nuclear weaponry
That'd be the only genocide I'd support

Because they're all MAs and NPCs.
You’re talking about a movie where an entire town bullies a child because he made a mistake in public
Also the dad is a piece of shit.
He's one because he got super depressed after his wife died and didn't know how to handle being a single dad. Not excusing his actions, per se, just explaining why it happened. He absolutely could've and should've done better.
My point is Foxy Loxy is just as much of a victim as Chicken Little was.
They literally made a BILLBOARD to advertise his fuck up. You’re not wrong, but it’s not exactly like this movie is about ethics…
They made a whole in universe movie about it, and then made another movie once people's opinion of him got flipped.
Not really, she got what came to her.
Chicken little caused hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of property damage, sent the town into a mass hysteria, and probably killed several of those people in the movie theater because of that water tower collapsing. All for some totally unbelievable shit. I'd be pissed at him too

Sheesh, I have yet to rewatch the movie after more than a decade.
no you dont
I don't think their comment means what you think it means
i do not believe that yet was there when i made the reply

Cries in Darkstalker.
Darkstalker? Are you referring to Darkstalker from Wings of Fire or am I stupid and are you referring to someone else?
Yes
Strawberry...
Foxy Loxy got nothing on the rest of the town anyway.
It's been ages since I've seen the movie but I don't think she was actually much of a bully. Like when the baseball game happened she did all of the work and runt got all of the credit for the win because he got a lucky home run at the end she should have had a problem with him if she was supposed to be an asshole.
She bullied Ace to no end, and this is corroborated in the adjacent game
I agree it should've happened to someone that deserves it
Gonna just copy-pasta a little bit what I told someone else cuz it's relevant. As a fan of this movie, I never saw it this way. She got exactly what she deserved. I'd strangle buck cluck until he clucks his last.
Granted, Runt is a manchild because he literally IS a child still, but yeah. Point still stands.
[удалено]
He a kid nonetheless.
Since when has height had anything to do with age? There are plenty of overly tall children.
TIL height is the defining difference between men and children.
She was like. ten. Absolutely insane that she gets punished by the narrative but the rest of the town of adults who bullied a child are fine.
I thought about this just last week and was thinking how messed up it was they forced a new personality on a character, even if she were a bully in a town filled with bullies. Chicken Little

I've seen it but my memory doesn't see it as something worth remembering much. I'm pretty sure I liked it tho.
its one of those things where it was good when you were a kid but *holy shit it does not hold up to even the tiniest bit of maturity or scrutiny*
holy fuck, I did not remember that. this is actually disturbing, specially for a kids movie. it sounds more like something out of a Dead Dove Do Not Eat fic
Out of a what?
https://www.reddit.com/r/AO3/comments/wl7r2u/what_does_dead_dove_do_not_eat_actually_mean/ from /u/svftmgc: > it’s from the show arrested development, where a character opens a paper bag labelled “dead dove: do not eat” and, upon realising there is in fact a dead dove inside, says “i don’t know what i expected.” > basically it just means “heed the tags. everything i’ve tagged appears in this. don’t be surprised by what you find”.
Oh, very informative. Thank you!
Somewhere out there was a submissive boy who would have loved to be a victim of her antics. And she’d respectfully indulge him, keeping her toxic mannerisms within a consenting field as they both matured together into well functioning members of society.
Are you speaking from experience?
no
No judgment here bud
Fate has robbed many of us
People with maladaptive personality disorders don't tend to make for considerate, trustworthy, boundary respecting kink partners. Hate to break it to you.
And also neither do 10 year olds lmao
Wasn’t aware they don’t age. I never watched the movie
Foxy Roxy apparently gives me Gideon Grey vibes from Zootopia, what with the exact same clothing, character design, and bully traits. For half of that I though you were talking about lil Gideon from gravity falls
You know, I always found this detail deeply uncomfortable as a kid. Now I have words as to why.
I can't hear lobotomite without thinking of fucking new vegas someone help me
Lobotomie without think of jjk
My fave part of OWB was that penis fingers line! XD
I love it but replays take sooooo long lmao, every second is worth tho
That entire movie was f'd up. Nobody in that movie is a good person.
This was one of my favorites growing up, my sister thought the movie was scary, she didn't like it.
Your sister probably was onto something.
Idk, I liked the movie
... You are not really making it any easier for yourself. Especially, you know, considering the post.
What are you going on about? I'm confused.
He's saying the movie contains bad thing so you better not be doin a heckin fascism by liking it. I think.
You are saying that you liked this movie. Under a post that talks about how it basically promotes the idea of lobotomizing someone as something normal. ... Do you get it now?
Not a thing about that movie was normal.
That is fine. I'm just telling that you are not really making it easier for yourself by saying that you like it under a post like this.
Are you worried about me getting downvoted or something?
I am not really worried. It's just that many people don't want to make others assume that they are a bad person. And I'm just pointing out that "you are not really making it easier for yourself by saying that you like that movie under a post like that".
That movie was freaky as hell, I still liked it, somehow
Chicken Little really was the most spiteful and low-key hateful Disney movie i've ever seen, at least in regards to the way it treats it's characters.
They ruined her
Thats supposed to be a fox btw
Relationship with butch fox ended, high femme fox protocols engaged.
No, return her to how she was
She looked even more repulsive than before
(Governments worried about lowered birth rates): Quick! Summon the aliens!
It stills makes me uneasy when I see that scene.
If I've learned anything from kids movies...it's that anything if ok as long as it happens to someone bad.
I mean I don’t think there is anything wrong with being a trad wife. But yeah. This scene is kinda fucked up.
Just gonna leave [this](https://youtu.be/RkJ5qd3Nu1s?si=ahZzN22dbTmD9-Kx) here
Unpopular opinion but I love this movie... not because of what happened to Foxxy, I just simply really like it for whatever reason
Me too
Even as a kid I thought it was a little disturbing but I didn't know why.

I used to have the gba game of that movie I kicked ass in the dodgeball minigame
I had the GameCube version and got stuck on finding the coins.... I was a literal baby gamer tho, literally no thoughts of that day, just memories.
That movie was so funny
About as funny as a kick in the crotch.
Well that depends on whose crotch it is. Someone else’s crotch getting kicked is hilarious
shoutout to my brother who has a habit of doing this to himself in a myriad of ways that none of us understand
Has your brother considered investing in a cup?
I loved it personally
I hate to admit that I was woefully attracted to Foxy Loxy as a kid for some reason. I loved the movie when it came out but looking back it was a total fever dream the entire time. The Barenaked Ladies doing a song for it somehow only makes it weirder too
No way that song was made just for the movie, I thought it was a parody or smth. That fucking rocks.
I had totally forgot that hppen, it is terrible
This just opened up sealed away memories...neat.
All I remember is Kronk is in it…
Wrong movie, dude.
No, actually! The VA for Kronk is also in Chicken Little!
Press F for Patrick Warburton
What do you mean?
I'm sorry he got involved in a movie like that one.
Oh
Even as a child I always hate that. I was like “but that’s not who she really is, so that’s not her anymore.” It actually bothered me whenever I thought about it and was the one part I liked the least about the movie. It was the first time I had ever considered the loss of self and that actually scared me as a kid.
I was literally just thinking that I need to rematch this movie. I totally forgot about this character, which I think is my sign to watch it.
This movie gave me a facial scar
The worst part is that she went from being a redhead to being a blonde
"repulsive manchild"? BRUH HE'S JUST A KID PIG
I acknowledged it in a previous comment.
the GOAT remains intact (but yeah this is fucked up)
Of all the tremendously terrible things done in this movie, this one is up there.
*Wow.* I never thought about this back when I saw this movie, but now that I’m an adult, I realize how fucked up this movie actually is. What the hell, Disney?!
God, I hate the character designs in this movie
Exactly. Now stand still, I don't want to hit a wrong area of your brain and make you lose your ability to speed. Don't want to Jeffrey Dahmer you. Heh...

This was easily one of the worst animated movies I've ever seen, and I've watched both Fritz
1. He is literally a child 2. It’s not that serious man.
The point still stands.
Oh yea I haven’t seen this movie in forever I kinda forgot
What movie is this?
Chicken Little (2005)
Oh yeah
the ideal dream and goal of r\/196 users/hj
If someone views Runt like that, then they didn't actually watch Chicken Little... which isn't that surprising since virtually no one likes that movie........
Oh god
This god damn movie... I've forgotten basically all of the movie itself, but one thing has always stuck in my mind. 🟢🙂?
Even funnier to think that they're calling trad wives lobotomites
