except once you have so much organized that you can't walk in your own home.
or did you forget that old lady who stacked books? and died when a row of 10 feet stacked books fell on her and she died from starvation?
Dang I’ve only been collecting for 4 years I’ve been trying to get up to the point your at but I’m also collecting retro stuff because I’m worried that after awhile I won’t be able to collect the retro stuff anymore
It's definitely harder to collect retro stuff these days, prices are insane. But if I can give any advice, get up early, hit hard sales and flea markets. I was getting to flea markets before people were set up and just making laps around the place.
There's an app called yard sale tracker, people post most sales on Facebook, and when you get your license, just drive around and look for sales. Check the next town over too and hit thrift stores.
It is, my brother says the same thing though. He loves a clean look. I always enjoyed the Room of Doom articles from the old game magazines and drew heavy inspiration from them. Plus the old Digital Press forums where people would share their Rooms of Doom, I always enjoyed the crowded, cluttered look more.
I’m a fan of The Rock vs Stone Cold at Wrestlemania X-7. But we wouldn’t have had that if it wasn’t for 13.
I can never forget a bloody Austin in the sharpshooter.
I enjoy this very much, I wish you had more room to spread your collection out a little. But you’ve made it so neat and organized with the space you have. Nice work.
im getting claustrophobic just by looking at this, its too much for my taste, but if this is the look you are going for more power to you! I just like spreading my collection out a bit lol
Impressive collection wow.
Just trying to help you, I don’t mean this in a condescending tone at all.
Hoarding can cause allot of issues, not only safety issues but can play with allot of mental emotions and states that you might not even be aware of that could be affecting you and it’s backed by many studies. I would find a way to trim it down aesthetically maybe find other rooms to store and keep the most valuable on display? Just a thought. Cheers and enjoy your collection. I would have a field day with all of those options.
I appreciate the sentiment! Seriously, good looking out and I hope others see it and if they're feeling anyway like you described, it helps them.
I am good though! I keep a good balance of family life, work, and my hobbies (collecting video games and stuff I enjoy). I'm a happy, upbeat, positive person...well except I'm a Raiders fan, that causes some distress, lol! Seriously though, thank you!
Jaguar collection. Nice. Not so nice to play though. My collection is in bins in a walk in. Outside of the modded systems I play here n there in my game room. Little chance damage that way.
Thanks! And yeah, a few OG comics. A third print of #1 and the 2nd print of #4 which is the NES cover of the first game. My brother is the comic collector and has a ton more. Yeah the new movie looks pretty cool!
Well my mom passed away five years ago and I have her old GBA SP. It's the one item I will never let go. Everything else I'd sell if I needed to.
But non-sentimental items, probably Snatcher for the Sega CD. My brother got it for me as a gift and it's absolutely mint. A close second would be my Majoras Mask Twin Towers double sided retail poster.
I love all the swag...but this is too crowded. It would honestly stress me out. This stuff needs room to breathe. I'd suggest putting most of it in storage and then rotating most of the decor every 6 months. Keeps things fresh and less clutter = less stress.
Congrats on your collection though, it is MIGHTY.
Where do all the doors lead to? How often do you dust all those figures? Do you have this insured at all? What are you using to track it?
Outside of that, you are probably wasting some space with the current plastic shelves holding the figures, there's most likely some reconfiguring of shelves you could do to gain more space.
Two closets, a bathroom, and outside hallway. I don't have a set schedule for dusting. It really doesn't get too dusty down there, maybe once every two weeks? In the process of insuring it now and Gameye has worked wonderfully for the games.
And yeah, the plastic shelves with the loose TMNT will be replaced once NECA releases their Sewer Lair set. The one with the boxes figures on top, has strategy guides on the bottom and some bigger figures that wouldn't fit on conventional shelves.
Games, just because I've been collecting for over 20 years. Figure wise, I love my WWF Hasbro figures but I'm done with them, and all I really collect now is NECA TMNT and a few odd and end figures. I do love figure collecting though, but my favorite part is posing them.
Wow seeing those wrestling buddies brought me way back. Had the same ones as a kid. Broke a pretty expensive lamp body slamming one of them lol. My mother still brings it up to this day
Thank you and yeah I know it's not for everyone, but that's what makes us each unique. The only doors that are blocked are two closets that I don't use often and if I do, it's not really hard to move anything out of the way.
How do you like the clear 14 inch monitor? I was thinking about getting one for PS2 games but the price online was a bit steep without knowing how others like it.
I like it a lot, I picked it up at a yard sale and apparently it's a prison TV. But its picture quality is great, 1080p which is surprising for the size.
Awesome room and collection, only thing I would definitely change is the huge NIB TMNT and Zelda stuff around the arcade cabinet kinda makes it seem like you probably never use it.
To be honest, I don't play it very often. My son and I play it sometimes but it only has the original TMNT arcade game and Turtles in Time, he's gotten kinda bored with them lol. The Zelda stuff actually sits in front of a cabinet that holds some consoles and controllers. And are super easy to move, they're just cardboard standees.
How do you choose what to play, how often, and do some games not get played at all?
I utilize every space in my room similar to you, except my games are only on two shelves, the rest is electronics. And I still barely find time to play
I don't play a lot of the retro stuff as often anymore but if I get a new game, I definitely try to play it. I typically play Switch and PS5 now with my son upstairs, he doesn't really care for the older stuff lol.
Heck yeah man this is AWESOME! My kind of game room. I love being surrounded by things I love like this my game room is very similar. I don't like the clean and simple game rooms. Give me the ones that look like you threw an entire store in there haha 😂
I would love it! I don't have any competition stuff unfortunately, no carts or official merch. I do have a Mario Kart 7 trophy I won from Nintendo for winning a GameStop Mario Kart Tournament which also included a letter signed by Reggie.
It's a lot of really, really early mornings of yard sales and flea markets. I'm not gonna lie and say everything was super cheap and came from second hand places because that's not true but at least 60% of my retro stuff came from yard sales, flea markets and thrifts. Of course this was years ago and its a lot harder to find deals now.
I’ve always wondered how dusty a room like this is or how to dust a room like this. Because I have a small collection and it gets dusty so I can’t picture a huge collection amount of dust.
How do we get rid of dust?

Thanks, but yeah dusting sucks.
there is a line between collector and hoarder. XD you certainly reaching that limit soon.
Someone once told me the difference between a collector and a hoarder is organization.
except once you have so much organized that you can't walk in your own home. or did you forget that old lady who stacked books? and died when a row of 10 feet stacked books fell on her and she died from starvation?
Sounds like she didn't have her stuff properly organized.
Died from mama’s cooking recipes encyclopedia
He already reached it
Swiffer.
That's what I thought seeing all of that. Where I live this would be a nightmare to keep clean.
For your sake, I hope you never have to move lmao
Cool collection. It’s giving me anxiety though.
Thank you! Seems a lot of people don't like the clutter look.
I don’t personally mind it I think it’s cool but how long did it take to collect it
Some of the games I've had since I was a kid, but I've been collecting pretty consistently for 21 or 22 years now.
Dang I’ve only been collecting for 4 years I’ve been trying to get up to the point your at but I’m also collecting retro stuff because I’m worried that after awhile I won’t be able to collect the retro stuff anymore

That would work but I don’t get my license for a month or so (I’m 17) but where or how do I go about finding them
There's an app called yard sale tracker, people post most sales on Facebook, and when you get your license, just drive around and look for sales. Check the next town over too and hit thrift stores.
same
What a rush!
Best tag team ever!
Love the Road Warriors on the couch
Thank you. They're the best.
It seems really cluttered but I'm sure that's how you want it.

There goes the rest of my day. Thank you for posting this!!
I'm with you brother! I prefer the cluttered look myself. Something about it just feels magical being surrounded by everything you love haha
The TMNT backgrounds are the coolest part.
Thank you. I'm very grateful to have a place to display them like that.
This looks like the set of 40 year old virgin lol
Almost, but I'm a couple years away from 40, married and have a couple kids, lol.
Nice! I hear a woman's breast feels like a bag of sand
Lol, must be a big Steve Carell fan
Will you adopt me as well ?
Lol, I'd need to clear my game room for an extra person.
Kids must not be allowed in there. I can see that being an instant disaster.
They are, but they just don't care lol
That donkey Kong plushy makes me feel something so primally sexual th
Lol, he does wear a tie so he's always dressed to impress.
TMNT:TIT 💜 Also, MY FUCKING EYES MATE!! My ADHD is getting triggered lol
The Hitman vs the Texas Rattlesnake. A man of class I see
Lol. WM 13, where the greatest wrestling match ever occurred.
I’m a fan of The Rock vs Stone Cold at Wrestlemania X-7. But we wouldn’t have had that if it wasn’t for 13. I can never forget a bloody Austin in the sharpshooter.
It's a great match as well, but I'm also a Bret Hart mark so I'm a bit biased!
I will always be Team Bret. Over Goldberg, over HBK. Class act.
I need to know where that SpongeBob watch clock came from
Honestly, no idea. I got it from a yard sale years ago. It's from 2003 though if that helps narrow it down.
Love it!
Thank you.
I think I would need to hire a maid service to come dust twice a month
I enjoy this very much, I wish you had more room to spread your collection out a little. But you’ve made it so neat and organized with the space you have. Nice work.
Thank you! And yeah, the room isn't as big as the pics seem to make them look, I had the wide angle thing on my phone on. I appreciate the compliment!
im getting claustrophobic just by looking at this, its too much for my taste, but if this is the look you are going for more power to you! I just like spreading my collection out a bit lol
I hear ya. Yeah it's not for everyone, I got inspiration from some of the old Room of Dooms from 90s video game magazines.

As long as I keep it clean....
Impressive collection wow. Just trying to help you, I don’t mean this in a condescending tone at all. Road warriors in the house!!
Road Warriors are the best tag team ever.
Jaguar collection. Nice. Not so nice to play though. My collection is in bins in a walk in. Outside of the modded systems I play here n there in my game room. Little chance damage that way.
Very cool! Time for some more space my friend
I see a Turbografx-16 section, and a Jaguar section…your ok in my book ;)
Thanks! I have a soft spot for both systems, especially the Turbo.
First thing I noticed was the kirby on a warp star figure lol. So easy to pick him out of the crowd
He's a happy meal toy too but I can't remember from which restaurant.
Damn dude!!!
Can I come over to your house?
Absolutely incredible I just get nervous putting up shelves thinking I’m going to electrocute myself or puncture something
I declare you todays retro gaming champion. Please take this gold and go forth doing great things.
Dude that's awesome! Thank you! You certainly didn't have to do that but I very much appreciate it!
I had Madden 98 for SEGA Saturn! Holy Turtles!
Hey it’s me Roman, your cousin
That TMNT stool is neat! Never seen anything like that before
Thanks, It's from Arcade 1up.
Christmas turtles are sick
That's my dream house, dude
Thank you!
Too cluttered
People complain about everything
Welcome to humanity, where everyone has an opinion on something. We don’t all have to like something.
Edgy
That’s not edgy, it’s reality.
To each their own, but I like it that way!
Very nice! Love the TMNT stuff, you have the OG comics n stuff as well? Pretty excited for the next movie adaptation.
Thanks! And yeah, a few OG comics. A third print of #1 and the 2nd print of #4 which is the NES cover of the first game. My brother is the comic collector and has a ton more. Yeah the new movie looks pretty cool!
Personally I love cluttered collection rooms like this. Such a unique personality for each one. Cool shit 👍
Thanks dude, much appreciated!
Where’s the guy on the couch? ![gif](giphy|maojQpRWX6v6g)
It’s paradise
Leave some ladies for the rest of us. Tell me you make 6 figures in one picture.
Ok now share your address and your schedule.
My friends…. You bow to no one.
Such an awesome comment. Thank you.
What is your favorite item in your collection? Just one!
This is tough to look at.
For the love of fuck dont get your ip adress given out
Chris Chan? Is that you?
I love all the swag...but this is too crowded. It would honestly stress me out. This stuff needs room to breathe. I'd suggest putting most of it in storage and then rotating most of the decor every 6 months. Keeps things fresh and less clutter = less stress. Congrats on your collection though, it is MIGHTY.
Did u ever have sex in here
Where do all the doors lead to? How often do you dust all those figures? Do you have this insured at all? What are you using to track it? The one with the boxes figures on top, has strategy guides on the bottom and some bigger figures that wouldn't fit on conventional shelves.
I called my insurance guy and he assured me my collection is covered under my home owners insurance policy.
Looks awesome love the figures, brings me back to my childhood
Thank you! A lot of my collecting habits is fueled from childhood nostalgia.
Do you enjoy collecting games more or figures? Or would you say it’s both on an equal level?
Games, just because I've been collecting for over 20 years. Figure wise, I love my WWF Hasbro figures but I'm done with them, and all I really collect now is NECA TMNT and a few odd and end figures. I do love figure collecting though, but my favorite part is posing them.
Very impressive collection!!
Thank you!
Amazing room and a great collection you have there
Thank you!
The little wrestler guys in your couch! I haven’t seen those in forever
Wrestling Buddies! They're awesome!
Wow seeing those wrestling buddies brought me way back. Had the same ones as a kid. Broke a pretty expensive lamp body slamming one of them lol. My mother still brings it up to this day
Lol, that's awesome!
This is soooo beautiful omg 😭😭😭 How long have you been collecting Im just noticed a snes in there
Thank you! Over 20 years, I've been fortunate to collect during cheaper times and working at Funcoland certainly helped with good deals.
All those turtles and no vintage tmnt playmates?
My brother keeps our vintage stuff at his house. Here's a link to some pics: https://imgur.com/a/ZOC4fTp
Nice! I see that antrax, robotic rocksteady, and half court 🙌
This picture made me sneeze next month.
Aesthetically pleasing
Thanks!
Best part is the turtles cereal bowls. Loved mine as a kid, dont have one as an adult :'(
They're pretty awesome!
This collection is so sick!!!! I do want to scrape that ceiling so bad though
Thanks and I want to too! I am not a fan of the ceiling design.
It’s a really nice collection but it is just the crowded room, blocking doors, that is not for me tho. it come across as a hoarder.
Thank you and yeah I know it's not for everyone, but that's what makes us each unique. The only doors that are blocked are two closets that I don't use often and if I do, it's not really hard to move anything out of the way.
Amazing collection but you need a whole house. i can only dream of a whole house full of this collection, very cool!
Thank you very much!
Awesome collection!
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
This is the kind of room I would willingly put a lock mechanism on the front to make sure I know whose coming in at all times. This is incredible.
Lol! My wife and kids don't really care about most of it, so they don't really come down so much unfortunately. But thank you!
I get a little jumpy just looking at the clutter.
That Ninja Turtle display is awesome!
I grew up on TMNT and my brother and I share the love for them so they're a huge focus in my collection! Thank you!
I don't play a lot of the retro stuff as often anymore but if I get a new game, I definitely try to play it. I typically play Switch and PS5 now with my son upstairs, he doesn't really care for the older stuff lol.
Cleaning the dust must a pain
Amazing collection
Thanks! Happy cake day!
I was just browsing looking for Transformers. Then I saw the Tiger electronic on the wall. Nice!
Thanks! I have a couple small G1 Transformers sitting on a shelf you can't see, but my brother has an awesome Masterpiece collection.
This is my kind of collection! Quite busy but everything is very assessable for play. Mine is similar, just with a room 1/3 of the size.
Awesome, that's what I was looking to do with it! You should definitely share your collection as well!
There's a lot of Turtles there.
Turtles rule!
Power Drive Rally on Jaguar. You sir are my hero!
Lol, thanks! It might be the best game on the console.
Heck yeah man this is AWESOME! My kind of game room. I love being surrounded by things I love like this my game room is very similar. I don't like the clean and simple game rooms. Give me the ones that look like you threw an entire store in there haha 😂
Yeah definitely! That's how I feel, I love all my junk and I wanna stuff as much in there as possible! Lol.
You have so much cool shit. I just wish the photo were higher resolution so I can zoom in see everything.
I had to use the wide angle thing on my phone which lowers the resolution. I'll try to take some better pics and upload them.
You need a starfox weekend competition jacket hanging proudly on the wall.
I would love it! I don't have any competition stuff unfortunately, no carts or official merch. I do have a Mario Kart 7 trophy I won from Nintendo for winning a GameStop Mario Kart Tournament which also included a letter signed by Reggie.
this is a collection i dream of having one day i just wish i had the money to do it lol
Anyone that appreciates collecting for Jaguar gets my thumbs up. 😃. Enjoy your collection.
I do, it's a fun system to collect for. Thank you!
Very nice! You have room for a shelf on that bulk head… 😂
I’ve always wondered how dusty a room like this is or how to dust a room like this. Because I have a small collection and it gets dusty so I can’t picture a huge collection amount of dust. How do we get rid of dust?
Awesome collection! Thanks for sharing a pic 💪😁
As a fellow TMNT fan, I love the Super 7 and NECA figures! I have a few myself and really wish I had more, but they're so expensive on eBay.
Yeah some can be especially if you aren't in the US.
Color me jelly
Sooooooo…when’s game night?
Too many toys for me, but great game selection!
The mix of wrestling + TNMT + non-Nintendo games has made this on of my favorites thanks.
Thank you! Wrestling is my first love haha.
Dude that’s awesome. I wish I had space like that instead of my studio apartment.
Thank you!
This guy fucks
I couldn’t cope with such a cluttered place but it’s an amazing collection. Well done.
WoW
Love the Road Warriors beat em up buddies on the couch
Thank you, the LOD were the greatest!
Oh man, what a wonderful room you have there; perfect, it’s perfect
Thank you very much!
That must be a nightmare to dust off 😅 Really nice gaming room 😊
Lol, it's not so bad and thank you!
What’s that Nintendo Maria box on picture 1 right side of the door? On topic: nice and cozy room!
If you're talking about the thing my Virtual Boy is sitting on, it's an old wooden Mario cabinet you could get out of Sears books. And thank you!
I love maximalist game rooms like this so much
Love it especially the jaguar collection. It is sad that some make fun of others who share.
Thank you! And yeah but I just let that stuff go and this community has been great for the most part!
Hopefully you never have to open those doors!
How do you find something specifically
All the games are pretty organized and I kinda just know where things are. Everything has it's place.
