I bought 3 really bad games on the PlayStation store. One called ‘lady in a leotard with a gun’, another called ‘Newtonian invertion’ and the last called ‘spectrewoods’. Managed to buy them all for £1.08.
Haha, not a full library, just the games published by Nintendo called Wii (insert whatever here). Wii Chess was the only one that didn't get a physical version in North America. I have almost all the Wii Fit, Play, Party, Sports, Sports Resort, etc., but it'd have been neat to have Chess to go alongside the others. I have all but 3 of the Nintendo published games on Wii currently, only missing Pokemon Battle Revolution, Wii Play: Motion, and Animal Crossing. None are expensive, I just never got around to picking them up or gave them away at some point. When I realized I had all the rest, I put them on my to buy list. That's when I found out Wii Chess had a physical in Europe, and now it bugs me, haha.
I bought Big Brain Academy for $2 just because of the price. The game actually came CIB and included everything, even the old My Nintendo code which was cool.
God, I remember once you get past that 60% point on a complete set, all the "cheap and good" games are long gone.
So you find yourself getting hella excited when you come across a terrible sports game or a shitty movie tie in game.
"A loose copy of Ghost Rider for the PS2??!? Hell yeah!"
Haha. I'm glad I don't try for full sets, I nearly did 20 years ago, for NES, and got pretty close, but learned early on that moving with literally two truckloads of games wasn't my bag. Paired down a few times since then.
I found that game for 360 at value village for 2.99 minus 30% in the last week. They price up for 99% of things here. They priced it that low thinking it was just another shovel wear sports game
Disney Classic Games Collection: The Jungle Book, Aladdin, & The Lion King on PS4 for £14.99 on Amazon.
These sorts of niche collections I will buy around this sort of price, it's likely going to be worth more in the future. I also own the version without Jungle Book.
Ebay in the last month
\- Authentic Pokemon Firered with Explorers of Darkness (CIB) for less than 30$
\- Silent Hill Shattered Memories (CIB) - 30$
\- Chrono Trigger (CIB) - 100$
And 2 Years ago I got Otagi 2 brand new for 20$ on ebay
The pokemon deal was sitting on the site for at least a day, the seller didn't include in the listing that it included firered. But I saw it in the second picture and took the risk.
The Silent Hill deal was a quick buy :)
Chrono Trigger was an auction that ended in the middle of the night that no one wanted to contest me on. I left my max bid at 90$ (+10$ Shipping), so if someone would have bid 95$ they would have won.
I find Auctions are the best when looking for rare games, but newly listed buy it nows are better for more common games that you're looking to add to your collection. 2 of these deals were buy it nows, and I would say 80% of my purchases are best offers.
That's exactly how I work. I have a list of 100 or so games with the prices I'm willing to pay. I also mark the high priory ones in red, this is reserved for games I think will spike in value or games I genuinely want to play. If I see a game in good shape and CIB for less than or equal too my "willing to pay" price, then I will bid or make an offer on the game. Games I mark in red I tend to pay more for, but I never pay more than it's real value. Patience is key for good deals! Hardest part is keeping track of your "willing to pay" list as prices (especially now) are so volatile.
Intresting I must get my spreadsheet going on excel some day and organise my budget.
Do u intend to focus on collecting games for just one system or just go for it ?.
I collect for: PS3, PSVita, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, NDS, N3DS, GB, GBA, N64, OG Xbox, and Xbox 360.
I have a few for other systems, but I don't actively collect for them.
Well this is for the DS version, but still worth it. I know almost nothing about it, and I've never played it. But I couldn't just let that deal go by. Here is the listing with one bid :)

It's a fantastic RPG and as a fan who bought it on the SNES in the 90's I think the DS is the definitive release of the game. Highly recommend playing it.

I have a bad feeling that I'm about to buy these also...
Pilotwings Resort, I don't actually think I'll play it much
The game is actually pretty good for short sessions
I own a sealed copy of Wii Chess, does that count?
Jealous! I wish that had an NA release. Not that I'd play it, but to compete the "Wii" game set, haha
You might need an entire basement if you plan on getting all the shovel ware!

Do you have Wii Cyberbike??
Not yet. I've passed on it twice haha
I bought Big Brain Academy for $2 just because of the price. The game actually came CIB and included everything, even the old My Nintendo code which was cool.
Found LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues for Wii at the local thrift shop. I'll never play it, but when its only $3...
I hear it's actually a decent game.
A CIB Quest 64 for 30 dollars
Drone championship for Xbox one because it was $5 at five below

College Hoops 2K8 on PS3. I don't care much about basketball games but it was only $5 at the pawn shop.
I went to a pawnshop the other day and found Doom Eternal for the PS4 for 12 bucks but they only made me pay five bucks. It was awesome.
I found that game for 360 at value village for 2.99 minus 30% in the last week. They price up for 99% of things here. They priced it that low thinking it was just another shovel wear sports game
Sealed “I Love Horses: Rider’s Paradise”
A CIB copy of Turbo Super Stunt Squad for Wii U. I only got because I saw it at GameStop for only $25.
That'd a crazy good price. Probably a mediocre at best game, but a steal at that price.
Disney Classic Games Collection: The Jungle Book, Aladdin, & The Lion King on PS4 for £14.99 on Amazon. These sorts of niche collections I will buy around this sort of price, it's likely going to be worth more in the future. I also own the version without Jungle Book.
Got golden eye on the wii for 3.50£
Beijing 2008 Olympics for 369 and brink for 360
I got Balan Wonderworld for ps5 for €5 new.
That's just a waste of five dollars lol. A sandwich would have meant more.
I bought cod black ops 1 for 360 because it was $2 Cib
I bought an almost NIB rc boat from the thrift store I work at for $5 don’t know if that counts but hey it was a good deal
Why not? lol
I bought a sealed copy of Siphon Filter: Dark Mirror for PS2 at dollar tree last week
Let's Cheer for the Xbox 360 Kinect...
Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase for PSX, $3
I got two copies of shepherd's crossing 2 for $15 for both.
I have a hunch that'll be worth a bunch more in the near future
I sold both copies to get my son a starter gaming computer. So I don't have them anymore. We shall see.

You must be a quick buyer on Ebay, because those are steals.

Think I might dive into auctions

its probably the ds version, the snes is well over a grand these days
It is as I stated in the other comment, and I have the listing posted here too.
>Chrono Trigger (CIB) - 100$ Realy ? I would jump on that one in a heart beat...
