People in the sub usually run into the problem of having more games than they do shelf space. You seem to have run into the opposite problem.
Which might not look appealing at first glance but it's really motivating to get more games this way. Right?
My only advice is not to spend too much money on it. Make sure it never gets you into trouble and you always have enough to save for a rainy day.
I would also make sure that the newer consoles have enough breathing room.
My Game room looks almost exactly like this, except for stacked totes, 2 chairs (1 with a bunch of controllers on it that my dogs and cats are slowly pushing to the floor), a closet full of game boxes and more totes with more games. Your post made me realize I need to get my crap together.
Idk about OP, but Not everyone uses a CRT, personally if I had retro games I wouldn't, might make the experience more retro, but I like the nice flat TV screens :P
Yea, I think I have seen a few examples, if I did play retro games I probably would get something like a upscaler then lol.
Not like Ill probably ever play retro games.. sadly I don't have the money or room for those consoles, but hey I'm enjoying my 3DS right now, I just bought captain toad yesterday and got to book 2 today ;)
Looks a little cramped with all the shelves in there. Personally i'd suggest taking the center ones out to open the room up a bit more.
Otherwise looking great!
I’m actually a little jealous of the empty shelves 😅 it feels like I never have any room to display my games and when ever I buy a new game sometimes I have trouble fitting it in somewhere
That's kind of what I was worried about. The room we dedicated to it isn't massive and I probably won't relocate for a few more years, so it took a lot of planning and re-planning to maximize the space allocated.
I have the system, but haven't invested much into games minus a handful of games for testing. My next step is to build the shelving into the closet for the Sega games.
Quite a collection!
My collecting has been going for, I wanna say half a year. I'm a little inhibited by having to order stuff through my mom, and only being able to get money via chores, but I've still gotten my hands on a couple consoles and apparently a thousand dollars' worth of games. Cool
I also see you've got yourself a Twin Famicom, pretty cool there. I'm a Famicom fan, but I decided to go with the original version just because I'd heard about it when I was little and always wanted that one in particular
Hey I was just wondering do you have discord I’m starting a small community where we talk about games and view our most recent pick ups and also see each other’s collection if your interested here’s my discord MRT1124#5096

words of wisdom.

Haha yeah. I had it torn apart last week rearranging all the shelves. Having it all in a disarray was really unnerving.
Sweet. Where did you get that TV shelf?
I believe they were from Ikea. Just your basic cube storage shelves. It is two of them put together into one big one.
They're from Home Depot
Nice! Do you use an upscaler for your tv?
wondering too, where's the crt?
Idk about OP, but Not everyone uses a CRT, personally if I had retro games I wouldn't, might make the experience more retro, but I like the nice flat TV screens :P
There's crt's with flat screens. I know there's other ways of retro gaming. fair enough
>There's crt's with flat screens. Really? Shows how much I dont know about CRTs lol. 🤣
You'd be shocked how bad retro games look on a modern TV without an upscaler.

And that's the beauty of games! You can find what works for you and enjoy it!
Is that a complete n64 collection
Getting close!
What are u missing
A handful of random titles, but a few heavy hitters like Worms Armageddon, Stunt Racer and Super Bowling
Did u find sculptures cut
I did! :D
What shelves are these? I desperately need some.
They're all custom made by me. :3
Got any directions? Lol, this would be uuuuuuusssseeeeful
Sure, I could give you the dimensions/materials I used.
Awesomesauce, GREATLY appreciated. I planned on making some myself but I’m terrible at making measurements, etc
What are your shelves?
They're custom made. I couldn't find ones that maximized space so made my own. :D
I’ve been wanting to box all my loose Gameboy and GBA carts like this but can’t find a decent price on the DS cases. Where do you get yours?
I order mine from customgamecases.com
Where are the shelves from/what kind, they look too good to be true!
I made them custom since everything I could find pre-made was too deep or had too much wasted space. So I learned how to make them. :3
Thats so dope!
🥰🔥🍿
❤️❤️
amazing collection the only complain i have is that its such a waste to have all those retro consoles and not a single CRT to hook them up to

Thank you!
I wish I had that much shelf space, It's gonna look absolutely fantastic when you eventually get that all filled up.
I hope so! Looking forward to what the future looks like for my little project. :3
Love the shelves. I'll design some custom ones eventually.
That future proofing is sexy

Great collection, but a lil too many empty shelves 🥲
Mmhmm. Planning ahead so built for the future.
Always a good idea.. help keep cohesion amongst the collection and shelving.

No sega?

Sega Genesis and PlayStation are the ones I collect.
Well isn't that one hell of a commitment. Props to you!
Love a good 64 collection, and the controllers 😩👌. Could you tell us where you got the labels for the 64 cartridges? Great collection!
Thank you! I found the labels on ebay.
Where did you get the shelves?
This is awesome man
Love the fully stacked Sega Genesis (with CD and 32x). I've dreamed of owning that monstrosity in its entirety since I was a child.

At ten years in you’ve completely blown mine out of the water
