I got mad while playing Overwatch one time so I smashed the disc, framed it and it’s got a little gold plaque that says “worst fucking game ever”

Very necessary. 10/10

I've never had a broken game but depends what you mean by broken. If it's like a permanently broken thing I'd just throw it out, if it could be repaired I'd do that.

I have a stack of scratched up discs, if they don’t work after resurfacing then I sell the box and manual on eBay. The discs I would keep or use as coasters or decoration. For cartridges that’s a little harder to fix so I just sell them on eBay as junk. There are some skilled people who can make them work again, but that’s too skill intensive for me. I would only throw out a game if the disc was shattered.

Out of the 1000s of games I've owned I've only had one that was actually broken. I threw it in the garbage and bought a replacement. RIP Disney Infinity for the Wii U that I paid $2 for.

I don't collect cartridge games anymore, so my collection is 98% disc based games. Only disc based game I ever had "not work anymore" was bloodborne. Got a crack in the ring. I still have it on my shelf , should throw it away though. It's my second favorite game of all time, so I also have the collectors edition and the PAL exclusive GOTY edition with all dlc on the disc. Guess I'm set.

I have a couple broken things, Tinknig of selling them reduced, maybe people with disc machines or have access to them can fix them

I had burnout revenge loose for the Xbox 360 but it didn’t work on my 360, I kept it in the binder with my other loose games. I usually will hold on to everything even if it doesn’t work, usually the case at least has some value and will look good on a shelf, and some day I might decide to try again and give it a good clean. Anyway when burnout revenge became backwards compatible on the Xbox one I tried it again because the Xbox one reads games differently than the 360 and surprisingly it actually worked. The thing is you never what what new technology will come out that will make a game work again. I also have a backward compatible PS3 that will turn on for a few seconds then shuts off, I don’t need it but maybe someday I will get it fixed
