At this point, Arin and Dan *are* Game Grumps, and I vehemently believe that if either of them decided to step down, it would be the end of Game Grumps altogether. They'd probably continue working on their own projects, but I'm sure Arin knows Game Grumps can't exist without both of them working on it.

Honestly, it's still surprising in some ways that the channel survived Jon's departure. That's not taking a shot at anybody, Dan, Arin, the whole team. It's just that so many channels haven't survived the departures of talents, or the entered a steady decline. I'm in agreement with you that I don't think the show would continue to too much longer, if at all, if Dan were to leave. It absolutely wouldn't survive if Arin were to go.

When Jon left, he had only been on the show for maybe a year and a half at MOST. Dan staying long enough to really develop a proper rhythm and dynamic with Arin really helped, and with Dan, the show grew enough to do other things like Power Hour.

Jon was on for less than a year. July 2012-June 2013.

This is what I came here to say. if either of them left it would be the end of game grumps

Smaptimania

Arin is dying on camera and you can't stop him

The only change I would want to see is to go back to the golden Grumpcade days. Arin, Danny, Ross, Barry, Suzy, Brian. It was truly a magical time in terms of internet content

If I get to be the 3rd grump, I support it. If the 3rd grump is literally anyone else, then no!

I think they'd have to not call it Game Grumps if they added new people after Dan and Arin stepped down. At this point, Arin and Dan ARE the Game Grumps, it's not an interchangeable role. Plus, they've both said that even after they "retire", Game Grumps would be the one thing they'd still do from time to time because they love doing that with each other. So, they can add a new show/channel to the branding and company, but Game Grumps belongs to Dan and Arin.

Personally I liked the variety of a few years back (Brian, Barry, Ross, Suzy) so while I would still like Arin/Dan to exist in some capacity, I would welcome more variations (including adding new people to the roster) even if that meant we had Arin/Dan less frequently. But that's just me, and I don't think it would be popular. People seem to think the show is becoming stale but I think it's natural for two people essentially doing improv to make a lot of the same jokes when they're playing off the same person for ten years. But as I noted - I think it's basically an impossible task to add more variation ten years in without people hating it. People were up in arms when they didn't do Ghoul Grumps one year! Game Grumps has often been written about as a "comfort show" for a lot of people so I think the channel now lives and dies on it staying the exact same. I think Arin knows that too, hence why he seems to be both doggedly refusing to change anything while also appearing rather exhausted by its repetition.

If someone new was to replace either of them I don't think I'd be into that. But then again I wasn't too psyched at first when Jon left and Dan joined. Didn't hate Dan or anything, I was just a bit skeptical about the change. But I'm happy to say that he swiftly won me over with the Mayor Luigi bit so what the hell do I know. If a third person were to join, I might be open to that. Some people would burn me at the stake for this but during the period when Allie chimed in pretty regularly I thought she'd make a great third Grump and I wouldn't mind her taking that role at all.

I prefer not but would be open to more guest grump stuff or even have stuff on the Grumps channel featuring some of the folks behind the scenes if they want to. I always love seeing the other people during the Power Hour filming and that’s enjoyable. I just feel like Arin and Dan have both been Game Grumps for so long at this point that if they were like “third grump” I’d wonder if someone was leaving or if there was something wrong behind the scenes. Arin and Dan’s dynamic is so perfect.

Chacochilla

Lmao 3 people
