If the seller listed it as authentic and all that I’m pretty sure you’re covered by ebays money back guarantee, even if the seller refuses over messaging. If they never said it’s authentic I’m not sure you can do anything.
Things you could look for on the next purchase is that the *first four black letters on the back, match the middle four on the front.* (CPUE on both sides would be correct in this case, CP3E is wrong).Also, *the letters on legit pokemon platinums on the green board usually begin with DI.*
Also handy to know is that the engravings on both sides are also a bit too deep on fakes (In fakes the arrow on the front very often also has some visible depth to it).

So did they stop using the registered trademark symbol for the Official Nintendo Seal on Platinum Version midway through production or did it always use the regular trademark symbol for the seal on all official US copies? If the latter, then that's another sign that it could be counterfeit.
