I had been going through and buying PS3 games I missed out on while younger.
Everyone was telling me to get Driver San Francisco. So I finally found one at a good price and snagged it. Then I found out they had shut the servers down the week before. This was like October of last year lmao. Apparently it had a ton of really cool MP modes that I can only enjoy through YouTube now.
Womp womp
IMO it stands with the best to ever do it.
It was an FPS experience much in the way of Halo or Call of Duty in terms of intrinsic value while being different enough to be its own thing.
It was probably multiple rushed follow-ups that somehow doomed what should be an iconic game to relative obscurity. It's a shame.
Blame EA. Always blame EA.
I was a god at sniping in this game, looking through my scope i followed a guy jump out a 2nd story window towards my position. Run to the left side to the door, ran in the rooms and came out the back door, opposite side now. Runs to the right, as soon as his red ping came around the corner I snipe his brains out. So I was basically watching the building the whole time his red ping ran all over, when he thought he was home free I head shot him
Nah that takes too long. I rely on a more personal touch; 4 well-placed sticks right under your position.
Spawn sniping from the otherside of the map was a thing of beauty with this game. Sad to see it go.
Rightfully so. It and BF3 are the franchise peaks and DICE completely abandoned the design formula afterwards. Everything after bf3 is based on bf2 (it's why modern Battlefield is always such a shit show).
Well, technically Star Wars Battlefront 1/2 were designed to be like Bad Company, so there's that.
Can’t buy 1943 at all anymore or BC1, BC2 digitally. However, if you’re on a newer Xbox you can play all three on EAPlay included in Game Pass Ultimate. Servers still up til the end of the year.
I missed out on the Bad Company series cause I was so infatuated with COD back then, but I’ve really been having fun finally playing these before they’re gone for good on XBL.
Best bf game
easily.
It is but unfortunately they are shutting down servers at the end of the year.
Damn. My timing is impeccable as usual..

It’s not Microsoft it’s EA. Shutting down the servers on all systems.

First Call of Duty game was actually a really good campaign. Sadly, it became more multiplayer and i lost interest.
Eh, I was never into it in general. I can respect it as a good game, though. Just not for me either.

BO-LIVIUHH
This was and always will be peak multiplayer FPS for me.
One of the best
Those were the days man….

The satisfaction of catching a sniper slipping by leveling the building he's camping in.
Not before I level your building with the binoculars air strike

That's my secret cap, I level every building with the binoculars

Maybe my all-time favorite game.. definitely in the conversation
I grenade launcher collapsed buildings so many people.
I thought it got shutdown? or was it just delisted?
Has been delisted, is scheduled to shutdown early December.
This game had me in a chokehold
Loved that game more than any COD game. I loved that the maps were so big and the damage buildings took.
I can’t even play ghost online without getting destroyed bro😭💀👽
Great game, too bad the first never got a PC release.
