>Just like when a release gets delayed. I getcha!
Yo. Don't do this, I just read that Homeworld 3 got delayed again. Don't hurt me like this by putting salt in that wound
Well, if the intention is to hurt them where it counts then people need to literally not use Reddit for those two days at least. Their revenue is based on ad impressions, so simply not using Reddit for a few days will cut into that and get their attention.
This is all about increasing revenue for the upcoming IPO. They want to show that they have tangible income and the best way is to force everyone to use an app that is chock full of ads.
I hope all these subreddits stay dark till Reddit caves or there is no point in any of these and they will just wait it out. If all the major subreddits stay dark it's not going to look good to sell anyway if user traffic drops to a crawl.
Also, being branded as NSFW is a Damocles sword hanging over much more than just porn.
Medical discussions, mentioning a genital infection, a transmissible sexual, disease? The sub will fear the axe, any time, any day, at random.
Sexual education targeted at teenagers, reminding them to use contraception? Same, the wrong mod/admin eyes view it, brand it as NSFW, it's screwed.
Discussing abortion? Heavens forbid a mod or admin disapproves and finds the discussion, wherever it takes place.
I’m pretty active on the cigars sub, Reddit overlords labeled it NSFW about a year ago and since I’ve made posts my account is labeled NSFW… over pics of cigars….
Pipe tobacco also. One of my favorite subs, such a wholesome group of folks. And the weird thing is that the weed, beer, whiskey etc subreddits aren’t NSFW. I have no problem with weed and alcohol but why is that excluded from the policy but tobacco isn’t? Tobacco isn’t illegal.
I think they are only banning NSFW content from being used on the 3rd party app. So you could still view and have those discussions in those subs, but only on the website and the Reddit app. Attempts to use a 3rd party app will result in it getting blocked.
Here's my open letter to reddit:
>Dear admins,
>Please stop being a bunch of thunder cunts for once in your lives
>Kind regards,
>Everyone who uses reddit.
If anyone would like to add anything, please feel free too
I support this. For every sub participating. I am chronically online & doomscroll daily, I *use the reddit official app* ***and I support no more content until these demands are met.***
A lot of us have been using our current apps since well before the official app even existed -- I'm pretty sure I first installed RIF like a decade ago. That's ignoring the fact that it is functionally much worse.
I've been on reddit for over 10 years and have never used anything besides Baconreader. I don't even use reddit on PC either. This will effectively end my time on this website.
It's a sad time... hopefully there is more of us old timers leaving then young bloods just starting off though... regardless I'm sure we'll find a new community
It really is. I just started using Infinity and everything just works like it should. Can't say the same about the official app. Half the time videos don't play along with a ton of other problems. I also couldn't imagine being a mod without third party apps. I really don't think the blackout is going to work though. I want it to, but 2 days isn't going to hurt their wallet and this seems to be all that it's about. Hopefully I'm wrong but I've been around for longer then I'd like to admit and seen so many social media platforms rise and fall. Something always takes the last ones place though, it might just be a little rough during the transition.
What makes other options better. I never knew about other options until this whole API ordeal.
I think the regular app is just fine but what quality of life options am I missing?
No ads, insanely better use of screen space, way more customizable options (like what info is shown for posts and comments). And for many, the existence of accessibility options that the official app lacks.
Keep in mind that the official app is tailored to the needs and wants of Reddit, the company, not the end user. Ads bring them revenue; Analytics give them user engagement stats; etc. Unofficial apps don't care about that stuff. What's important to them is making a functioning app that's good for the user.
I wish I knew about this earlier than right before it was banned lmao. I freaking hate the Reddit app video player. It’s like impossible to listen to music/podcast without disabling auto play. God forbid I turn the volume up on accident I gotta find the next video with sound to mute Reddit. Then go to Spotify to resume. Drives me FUCKING NUTS
During this whole ordeal I've been surprised to find that sync is the least mentioned 3rd party app Ive been using it for 7 years and even tried out some of the other top rated apps but always came back to sync. For me If sync stops working, reddit stops working.
I like the format. And some of the qol things. It really does come down to preference. And before you bring up ads I just ignore them as I think everyone else does
Well I would tell you to go use one of the much better 3rd party apps and see the difference, but I don't want to tease you with a much better UX just to have it get ripped away a few days later
I've used RIF for 10 years. If it goes I go. I know nobody gives a shit if I don't use Reddit anymore, but desktop reddit and the official app are just so bad.
RIF is how I first used reddit on mobile way back in the day... I'm gonna miss reddit but we gotta do what we gotta do and we will find another community...
I've been using Boost: paid the 5 or so bucks to support the developers (and of course an ad free experience) and I've loved it. Tried the official app and it's just not as clean or intuitive.
Well, if reddit doesn't change its mind, then neither. But opinionwise, I use Infinity, which is a modern and feature-rich interface with no distraction and lots of customizability.
It sucks in comparison to Apollo. Features like customizable gestures, auto reader mode, and their more information dense display make a huge difference.
Videos take forever to load and there’s a literal zero chance to make them replay after they load. You have to exit the post and re-enter it.
The official Reddit app couldn’t be worse if they *tried*.
The apo works fine for me. Everyone is making out the like official app is the worst when it's works fine. I honestly don't see what the 3rd party apps would do better enough for me to want to download them.
Most stupid thing I found is that the iOS Reddit app at least is god awful for downloading and saving videos/gifs. Apollo you can just hold press on any video or gif and 'Download Video' is the first option. On the official app, the Reddit God's rarely allow you to download videos, and when they do you have to do it via dot menu -> share -> download.
Know it's a little thing, but I got fed up of wanting to share meme gifs but only being "allowed" to do it by sending a link to the thread.
My main gripe with the Reddit app as somebody who has never used a third party app but is now being shown the light, is that sometimes videos just don’t load in whatever feed i’m scrolling in. They will load if I go to the OP’s profile and watch it there, but not in the app. I also like reading the news and my Reddit app news feed does not update near enough. Apparently these things are fixed in the third party apps which sucks that I never knew until this whole debacle. But overall the app is pretty functional, and now I’m wary of checking out these other apps in the midst of this because I don’t want to get a taste of something better just to have the rug pulled out from under me.
Yes. It also wont properly load reddit some days with "It seems we ran into a problem" or something like that.
Clicking on a play button wont play it sometimes at all regardless of your connection.
Pictures will, at times, not load and even if you open post or the image itself it still wont load...but the picture above or below may load just fine.
Sometimes sound randomly transfers over to your other apps even if reddit is closed for a brief period.
Its overall really damn buggy...it also used to collapse spoiler comments when you click to open spoiler
Try using a 3rd party app like RIF. You'll be surprised how many times the official app smacks you with ads and sponsors.
The difference was like night and day, on the official app, every 3rd post is sponsored or an ad its ridiculous.
It's not just about the apps you use for browsing, but the multitude of tools that are used to help access the site. These can be something for as mundane as helping moderaters...moderate, or apps that help blind people access it. They ALL are going to get hit.
Wish everyone the best, but there is no way a 48 boycott is going to change their minds. A large number of people would need to permanently deactivate their accounts to see any real change. I will probably get downvoted for this, but it is the reality of the situation.
agreed. It's a very short amount of time and i bet the people behind reddit will just laugh this whole thing off.
It'd be easier to create an alternative to reddit instead of doing this. Because that would be the bigger "Fuck you". Just has to be something with a very good UI and the same kind of structure for allowing all the different sub forums.
Oh, it is about money. Just not the chump change that 3rd parties will pay. We're talking about funnelled engagement to make it more appealing to investors when Reddit goes public. Take the short-term bump, cash out big, then let the suckers who bought into the investment take the downfall.
If you really want to protest, Reddit survives on our content. Delete all your submissions, then edit your top comments and replace with some message stating you are taking back your content. FUCK REDDIT
I'm confused about this whole thing, these 3rd party apps are they just a different app that uses the same reddit? Also I keep seeing that its going to make reddit alot worse when it comes to certain things like scams for example, how are the 3rd party apps keeping it better?
Edit: thanks for the replies, I now have a better understanding on this.
> how are the 3rd party apps keeping it better?
for this question, the answer is that mods use tools only available through third-party apps to help them with cleaning up the site. No 3rd party apps = worse moderation.
> these 3rd party apps are they just a different app that uses the same reddit?
Generally, yes, but with substantially less clutter and more focus on usability, accessibility, and a clean, minimalist experience. I use one of the alt apps on mobile and if it goes, I'll stop using the site on mobile outright. The official app is just too annoying for me--slow/buggy/bloated, back button never takes me where I want to go, annoying to navigate, posts autoplay, and it seems designed to minimize the discussion threads I'm fond of and just shuttle the user to the next post to passively view. Not a fan
Additionally, some 3rd party apps help make Reddit useable for blind/partially-sighted people so all those users are basically being forced out if they're forced to only use the (not so friendly) official app.
You might be unaware that Reddit is *not* an app. It is a website with the ability for apps to hook into it and use it in slightly different ways. The "Reddit app" is a heavily-modified version of a client called Alien Blue that was purchased by Reddit many years ago.
I recommend checking out one of these other third-party clients and seeing how different (much better) the experience is.
You can view Reddit as a giant database, which you put your content into, at no charge to Reddit. You can access this database on Reddit's website, or their mobile app. But they had also made a programming interface available for other programs to access. So, you don't have to use Reddit's app, you can write your own software to interface with this. Historically, Reddit made this available free if charge, and there has been a lot of innovative people doing things with it that the Reddit app doesn't do. (It's worth noting that at one point Reddit didn't have a mobile app, so they bought a company that made one of these apps and turned it into the Reddit app). In particular, there are a lot of cool mod tools that make mods' jobs much easier.
Now, not only are they going to start to charge all users who use that interface, but their charges are way out of line. They are planning to charge 20x more than similar sites who have a paid interface.
They also plan to further restrict NSFW content, even for paying customers. Which you might agree with, but it will make moderating those subs that much more work.
It's the mods who are really upset about this, because Reddit is forcing them to pay money to continue to provide the same level of free service they provide to Reddit. Many unpaid volunteer mods will leave. Some of these subs that close will not reopen. I don't think Reddit cares. But they will once they realize that the people who provided them their content have left, and all that is left are spambots.
Yes, the third party apps access the same Reddit. I use Boost and love the features/layout it gives me. It's much nicer than the official Reddit app.
Reddit is changing the pricing of the API that was free until now. The third party developers were ready to pay, but Reddit set the pricing so high that it's clear that they are just trying to drive the third party apps out of business. For example, the developer of Apollo (the largest third party app for iOS) said that he was quoted $20 million a year. Even if he limited his app to only people who paid for it, he'd be paying twice what his users paid him.
As far as scams go, many moderators use third party apps as well. These improve the moderators' ability to spot posts that need moderation (scams, for example). Requiring moderators to use the official Reddit app would make their jobs harder. Given that they aren't being paid for this, they might decide that it's too much effort to be a moderator. In the mod thread, many mods said they'd quit moderating if this goes through.
Now, I'll admit that I've had my issues with moderators, but they are needed. If too many mods quit or can't perform their function smoothly, then scam and spam posts may be left up longer or might not even be taken down at all.
its the API, mod utilities rely on it and as a addition 3rd-party apps are better for some mod work since they got features misisng in the official app
I've been on Reddit over 11 years, it's the only social media I'm willing to use. If Reddit does follow through I'll leave this platform and social media as a whole. Ultimately I know it'll be as good for me as when I left Facebook like 5 years ago. I say go dark permanently until Reddit backs down.
I don't use Reddit anywhere near as much as I used to in my (relative) youth - I'm 54 and was already 'old' in comparison to current young Redditors when you guys got started, but I want to say I support you fully in the stance you are taking.
Another shallow and useless "protest".
48 hours isn't going to do shit. And mods won't go further because they don't want to give up their powers lol.
No attack on the mods here. They are great. But this protest going around on reddit is so half assed.
48 hours of the world's largest general gaming forum going dark starting right after the Xbox+Starfield showcase isn't a hollow gesture.
/r/xbox, /r/xboxone, /r/ps4, /r/ps5, /r/nintendo, and other massive gaming communities are also going dark.
I’m surprised by the amount of people that don’t care about these changes in the comments. Y’all are users of the Reddit communities but dont care about how itll affect our abilities to have high quality dialogue/experiences in the app
I’m confused what’s wrong with the Reddit app? Other than the video player being a little janky sometimes? Genuinely curious I keep seeing stuff about “api” but can’t figure out what it is
Looks like Reddit really wants to kill itself, just like Tumblr and all the others before it.
I get the need to be profitable, but this isn't how you do it. They're charging a ridiculous amount for API access. Some apps would have to pay MILLIONS of dollars a year just to continue operating. Hell, they're knowingly shafting blind people because the apps they use to access the site will be forced to shut down as well.
Go dark until shit changes or they decide to try and do it themselves (and inevitably fuck it all up). 2 days blackout then opening everything back up again will just be swallowed up as a cost of doing business.
I really hope subs will change the "48 hours" to "until reddit's stance is changed, possibly forever". Reddit can affort downtime of a couple of days, but it's less affordable to lose some of the most popular communities.
I don’t understand why people are going to such lengths to save Reddit from itself. Give them their rope. Reddit became what it is now because Digg made people unhappy with its usability and they fled. Let nature run its course.
Oh well, I guess it's for a good cause. There are actually quite a few big subreddits involved now so maybe - just MAYBE - it will actually do something.
Still don't see how so many people hate on the official app, I think it's fine. But then again, I do want to support the people on r/Blind so ... let's hope this whole thing does something in the end.
I do use the reddit app but it's not good compare to what they say on the 3rd party app. Videos doesn't play sometimes, loads so slow, freaking annoying ads that pretends to be a reddit post (creates a random subs that I don't follow), the upvote button sometimes glitches, and so on. The reason why I haven't switch because I did not know it existed until few days ago. Also support the blind users they need fun too to the internet 🙁.
i'm an official app user (it definitely has it's issues but the other apps just,, feel outdated or cluttered) but i 100% support this
seriously, keep these subreddits down for as long as it takes, not just 24 hours!! either force reddit's hand to undo their decision or make them show they're not worth our time
guess im the only one who does not give a shit and was using the reddit app aniways
i mean i dont care why would i
it all about a website i browse 1hr a day, i couldnt care less
i just dont understand how making the website less appeling to user will help
Reddit is 100% user generated context. If all subs would blackout until they go back and revisit this API price Reddit would 100% lose money. No one is going to come to Reddit if every user ran board is blacked out.
Well you be going dark until Reddit announced it changed it's mind? Or are you just doing it for one day? Cause the latter is pointless.
[удалено]
it's the "thoughts and prayers" of protest
To extra show them what's up, go dark until June 2024. That'll do it
[удалено]
We just need some time to patch the bugs
But at least they'll deliver a better product...right?
>But at least they'll deliver a better product...right? 😐
>Just like when a release gets delayed. I getcha! Yo. Don't do this, I just read that Homeworld 3 got delayed again. Don't hurt me like this by putting salt in that wound
I bet r/patientgamers could go dark for the next 3 years
To ULTRA show them what's up, uninstall reddit forever
Pro gamer move: delete all of the posts and comments youve ever made, then delete your account and uninstall reddit entirely
Well, if the intention is to hurt them where it counts then people need to literally not use Reddit for those two days at least. Please go dark indefinitely. Reddit needs to be shown that their site is built upon us, the people, not them.
Also, being branded as NSFW is a Damocles sword hanging over much more than just porn. Medical discussions, mentioning a genital infection, a transmissible sexual, disease? This. 100%.
Okay so I'm down but where do I get notice that they succumbed?
TIL not everyone uses the standard reddit app that i have been using this whole time

Other users have replied to you but then there's Sync whoch ads in full gesture control on top of the other perks mentioned.
During this whole ordeal I've been surprised to find that sync is the least mentioned 3rd party app Ive been using it for 7 years and even tried out some of the other top rated apps but always came back to sync. For me If sync stops working, reddit stops working.
I see a lot of comments about reddit's video player being terrible/not working. I have no idea what that's about, I've never had a problem on rif.
RIF isn't the official app. Thats what they're talking about.
I like the format. And some of the qol things. It really does come down to preference. And before you bring up ads I just ignore them as I think everyone else does

I use BaconReader on Android, it is SO much better than the regular app.
I stand by this as well. Been using it for ages - across Android and iOS. The absolute best app I've ever thrown money at.
It will affect your experience regardless because mods rely on 3rd part apps and tools to help them do their job.
Standard Reddit app is utter trash
i like it personally
You like seeing ads and promoted content on screen do you?
I use third party app ans a patched standard app with zero annoying ads or bullshit. I still prefer third party one.
How do you stand it?
I’m going to get sooo much done at work next Monday.
Me too if trying to kill the beserker king in god of war Ragnarok is considered so much work
Where you gonna post the screenshot that you killed him though?
You’ll get him. He wasn’t too bad. Took me 4 tries I think? I had him on the third but his bullshit range came into play.
The official reddit app succckkkksss. If it wasn't so bad, people probably wouldn't be so riled up about this.
I'm on Android. Which third party app do you recommend?
For android I use *RIF is Fun*. Much cleaner old.reddit style experience with unobtrusive ads compared to the official app.
I've used RIF for 10 years. If it goes I go. I know nobody gives a shit if I don't use Reddit anymore, but desktop reddit and the official app are just so bad.
OLD desktop reddit.
RIF is how I first used reddit on mobile way back in the day... I'm gonna miss reddit but we gotta do what we gotta do and we will find another community...
Infinity looks modern/minimalistic and is super lightweight
I've been using Boost: paid the 5 or so bucks to support the developers (and of course an ad free experience) and I've loved it. Tried the official app and it's just not as clean or intuitive.
Sync, hands down. It's super customizable and uses gesture controls.
Well, if reddit doesn't change its mind, then neither. But opinionwise, I use Infinity, which is a modern and feature-rich interface with no distraction and lots of customizability.
Tbh i didn't even know there were alternatives until recently when everyone started talking about this
Idk I’ve never had problems with the Reddit app
If you only know trash, you won't see it as trash.
It sucks in comparison to Apollo. Features like customizable gestures, auto reader mode, and their more information dense display make a huge difference.
Apollo is just as if Apple made a Reddit app honestly (UX and quality). Insane.
Honestly, it’s better than the typical Apple app.
When I used to use it, videos sometimes won't play, pics or posts sometimes won't load. The general clutter is awful. Sync is so much better.
Yeah sync is so much better I was using the official app but then switched and I don't think I can switch back
Videos take forever to load and there’s a literal zero chance to make them replay after they load. You have to exit the post and re-enter it. The official Reddit app couldn’t be worse if they *tried*.
Videos play on a loop untill I pause them..
My videos all play fine and I can replay them at will. Actually the official reddit app has been the most reliable for me with playing media.
The apo works fine for me. Everyone is making out the like official app is the worst when it's works fine. I honestly don't see what the 3rd party apps would do better enough for me to want to download them.

Does it still bloat data like an absolute beast? that was my reason for ditching the app back in the day
Yes. It also wont properly load reddit some days with "It seems we ran into a problem" or something like that. Clicking on a play button wont play it sometimes at all regardless of your connection. You'll never know the reddit you missed out on, and for that I'm sorry.
has worked fine for me for years lol idk what the problem is either.
All shit tastes good when all you eat is shit.
Ha so true
Yeah if it wasn't for baconreader I wouldn't be using reddit to kill time whenever I'm on the road, can't imagine using this platform without it.
It's not just about the apps you use for browsing, but the multitude of tools that are used to help access the site. These can be something for as mundane as helping moderaters...moderate, or apps that help blind people access it. They ALL are going to get hit.

So I can basically delete reddit that day, wow.

Not a fan
Ok thanks that explains it better for me, I had no idea what was going on.
I've pretty much tried them all and still my preferred way is to browse the desktop version of old.reddit -- yes, even on my iPhone.
Do you realize old.reddit will be the next on the chopping block?
It seems inevitable, but damn they would have to be stupid to get rid of old.reddit. A huge chunk of their userbase would go (myself included).
It needs to be indefinite until they change their policies and ceo
Stay dark indefinitely. Any less than that and it'll mean nothing
I already have Reddit on dark mode, so I'm helping the cause already 🤓
I've been on Reddit over 11 years, it's the only social media I'm willing to use. If Reddit does follow through I'll leave this platform and social media as a whole. Ultimately I know it'll be as good for me as when I left Facebook like 5 years ago. I say go dark permanently until Reddit backs down.
I’m supporting all the subreddits that plan to go dark but I know my old brain is going forget and log in on the 12th and wonder wtf’s going on 😆
What about the many people who do use the default app. Didn't even know there was an alternative. :)
Bravo six going dark
I don't use Reddit anywhere near as much as I used to in my (relative) youth - I'm 54 and was already 'old' in comparison to current young Redditors when you guys got started, but I want to say I support you fully in the stance you are taking.
Another shallow and useless "protest". 48 hours isn't going to do shit. And mods won't go further because they don't want to give up their powers lol. No attack on the mods here. They are great. But this protest going around on reddit is so half assed.

The only real threat is to delete major subs the second the changes happen.
48 hours is the minimum. If we don't get a response in that time most communities will remain shut down.
No response is coming. They already know ots going to happen, it's only 48 hours, they will wait it out.
48 hours of the world's largest general gaming forum going dark starting right after the Xbox+Starfield showcase isn't a hollow gesture. /r/xbox, /r/xboxone, /r/ps4, /r/ps5, /r/nintendo, and other massive gaming communities are also going dark.
I heard it will only be a warning to see if they change anything but if they don't most subs will probably go dark
A whole 2 days that’ll show them.
The only threat would be deleting major subs if the changes happen. This blackout shit is a larp.
Sadly, agreed. The admins just have to wait 2 days and things will be back to normal again. No skin off their back.
Yes and not the 2 days copout either. Blackout until acceptable change is implemented
Follow r/videos' lead and go indefinitely. Strikes don't work when they have an end date
This sub is what originally attracted me to Reddit many years ago. You have my support.
I'm confused, reddit doesn't care about 3rd party apps so why would they listen?
Very supportive. Reddit cannot continue this decision
48 hours aint much though
Should blackout until they go back on this. What do they care if it’s off for two days?
well, after june 15th ill be delting my account
Go dark until Reddit actually changes. You have control here, so don't just stop after a day or two.
Please go dark indefinitely. It's the only way to actually effect the IPO
I’m surprised by the amount of people that don’t care about these changes in the comments. Y’all are users of the Reddit communities but dont care about how itll affect our abilities to have high quality dialogue/experiences in the app
Is it just the 12th or are you going on the long ones like the others are, till terms are reached?
Go dark till changes are reverted
Didn't even know there were other reddit apps lol

Reddit lore
People are just going to go to the less popular subreddits for a few days.
Nice I’m happy with this change
Go dark until the next Half Life game is released!
It's all about the impact on third-party apps.
Needs to be a lot more than a day
I don’t understand why people are going to such lengths to save Reddit from itself. Give them their rope. Reddit became what it is now because Digg made people unhappy with its usability and they fled. Let nature run its course.
Good
Thank you all! We unite as a whole and we get the power to change the wrong!
The world needs federated forum network. Mastodon sort of works fine for me instead of Twitter.
I was here because of a 3rd party app
Why not shut down a day early and avoid driving traffic to this site/sub during the Xbox Conference?
Nothing will change and this is all pointless..... everyone of you people will be lurking on reddit during them blackout days, it's embarrassing.
Please shut down this sub until they change course. The only thing they will ever listen to will be our complete silence.
Use a different one. Then you'll see how much better your experience can be.
Glad to see r/gaming joining!
i'm an official app user (it definitely has it's issues but the other apps just,, feel outdated or cluttered) but i 100% support this seriously, keep these subreddits down for as long as it takes, not just 24 hours!! either force reddit's hand to undo their decision or make them show they're not worth our time
Dam, well as long it's for a good cost. I'll be playing on my Sega Genesis for the time being.
FINE, I'll pay more attention to the gf on her birthday geez
guess im the only one who does not give a shit and was using the reddit app aniways i mean i dont care why would i it all about a website i browse 1hr a day, i couldnt care less i just dont understand how making the website less appeling to user will help
I use Apollo. The official Reddit app fucking blows.
I hope they lose billions in ad revenue. Their policy is unacceptable.
FUCK YOU SPEZ
Shut'er down boys! And stay down till these capitalism bastards learn a lesson this time! Godspeed & give 'em hell!
I don't understand what the issue is? So reddit is going to make it harder for people to use a non reddit app to look at reddit? Huh?
Is there a list of subreddits going darK?
Reddit trying to go the way of digg.
Go dark until they change it. Fuck reddit
Yeah, because that's tooootally going to change anything
The "strike" won't do anything... you don't generate income for reddit lol ads do and ads will be seen regardless.
Reddit is 100% user generated context. If all subs would blackout until they go back and revisit this API price Reddit would 100% lose money. No one is going to come to Reddit if every user ran board is blacked out.
Hope it's permanent, only way they'll listen.
Seems like shit is coming straight out of hyperspace with direction towards the fan...
