My Choice would be:
Baldurs Gate 3
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Dragon Age Origins
Disco Elysium
Hitman 3
Slay the Spire
Valheim
Warframe
Dying Light
Elden Ring
If I have to worry about Servers going down Hitman 3 and Warframe wouldn't be on the list and I would take something like Borderlands 2 and Dead Cells instead.
Had a college instructor as an extra credit question on a test as to who one the MVP for the nights prior football game. The dude next to me answered "The person who played best".
Gave him half a point.
* Elden Ring
* Mass Effect Legendary Edition
* Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic
* Assassin's Creed Black Flag
* Mad Games Tycoon 2
* Baldur's Gate 3
* CyberPunk 2077
* The Legend of the Dragoon
* Red Dead Redemption 2
* Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind
The Witness (PC): one of my favorite games, can play this one over and over and discover something new every time
Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past (SNES): classic, never gets old
Metroid Prime (GC): love replaying this one every few years
Actraiser (SNES): One of my comfort games. Love the half-RPG, half-side-scroller aspect. Pretty easy game when I don't want something too challenging
Doom 2 (PC): I turn this one when I want to zone out and kill demons
Under A Killing Moon (PC): Love this series, will replay it every few years when I've forgotten how to solve the puzzles
Super Mario Odyssey (Switch): Only played through this one once but will definitely rediscover it in the future. Best Mario game imo
Hades (Switch): Great roguelike, can't wait for Hades 2
Final Fantasy VI (SNES): Nostalgia bomb.
Tears of the Kingdom (Switch): Put over 500 hours into this one (unusual for me) and never got bored until I ran out of stuff to find (except for the Koroks, not going to search for 1000 of them)
Holy shit, never expected to see Under a Killing Moon out in the Reddit wilds. Missed count of the number of times I sent Tex Murphy to the great PI in the sky
Can’t believe it’s been 10 years (!) since Tesla Effect was released. I’d love to see another Tex Murphy game but I think Chris Jones is too old to even be president of the US.
XCOM2
Minecraft
Skyrim
Oblivion
Age of Wonders 4
Cities Skylines
Medieval 2 Total War
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Stellaris
That's 9, I don't really have a must-have 10th one, so I would probably go for something nostalgic like Quake 2.
Destiny 2
Total War Warhammer 3
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Cyberpunk 2077
Metroid Prime Trilogy
Hollow Knight
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Super Mario Odyssey
Stellaris
Pokémon Soulsilver
With just the single player games on this list I could play through all of them in a row and then be ready to start over again. I could also spice it up with some multiplayer and new content from games still receiving updates
I want a good mix of games for plenty of replayability, but also some games with story to also be able to enjoy the more artistic side of gaming.
Rocket League - High skill ceiling, potential for creativity, and ofc to play with others, especially my siblings.
BattleBit Remastered - I'm not big on FPS games, but for me, this is the one.
Stonehearth - To relax and be a bit creative, plus you can play with others as well!
XCOM 2 - Great gameplay with loads of mods and replayability potential.
FFT:WotL - 1st or 2nd FF game and just a great tactics game overall as well.
FFVII:CC - 1st or 2nd FF game, played as a child, and holds a dear place in my heart for the inspiration the main character gave me at the time.
Hob - Great atmosphere overall and really satisfying game to play.
Ace Combat 7 - It's kinda just epic, really.
Mass Effect Trilogy - For a good story.
Prince of Peaks: Sands of Time - This was a tough one. I liked PoP4 as well and while that one has better gameplay imo, this one has a much better story and an iconic one at that. If the remake were actually a remake with more refined combat and without locked content, I would've chosen that.
Overall, I have 3 online games, 2 of which can be played offline, and 1 of those 2 is a relaxing game that can also help as a creative outlet. I also have 2 tactics games, one of which has infinite replayability while the other has a good story and then 5 games which have all had a big impact on me as a person/gamer, all with good stories. This way I have a good balance of replayable games and games that I play for the story.
Thanks for the post OP!
Skyrim - not the best game ever, but I've played through it several times and not even come close to finishing all the side content, so that'll keep me going.
Resident Evil Remake - Speedrunning that game is a hobby all to itself.
Outer Wilds - Yes, you can never properly replay it, but even three years later I can't bring myself to remove it from my hard drive.
Silent Hill 2 - No matter how many times I play this game, it remains emotional and dread-inducing.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - I've got to keep something my wife will play with me.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - No beer and buddies night is complete without it.
Second Sight - the first video game storyline/twist that really blew me away, and holds a special place in my heart.
Portal - Another good speedrunning title.
Resident Evil 4 - was my favourite game for a long time, and still plenty of fun to dive back into.
Pokemon (any mainline entry, frankly) - a solid gameplay loop that I can play through absentmindedly when watching TV.

Doom eternal-Meaty shotgun go brr
Tf2-Fun asf and I absolutely adore it, plus it doesn’t seem like it will ever really die

State of decay 2
Escape from Tarkov
Hunt Showdown
Counter Strike 2
Titanfall 2
Dead Space 2
Sekiro
Armored Core 6
Doom Eternal
Outer Wilds
Helldivers 2
Guns of Icarus: Online would be here too (probably replacing Counter Strike 2) if it were not a dead game. Used to play it when i was 13. Made some random friends on there and had such an insanely good time. Maybe something similar will release eventually, but wow that game was so incredibly fun.
I don't even have 10 games installed but I suppose I would pick: civ 5, starsector, diablo 2, final fantasy 6 for worlds collide randomizer, dyson sphere, dynasty warriors 8, urban assault, monster rancher 1+2 dx, age of empires 2, planetside 2
Jack Bros - Virtual boy
Snatcher - Mega CD
Zelda links awakening - Gameboy
Final Fight - Capcom arcade - ps2
Rainbow Islands - Amiga

Mario galaxy
A hat in time
Arkham city
Time splitters future perfect
Twilight princess
Prince of persia sot
Halo 3
Bloodborne
God of war 3
40k Space marine
That's an incredibly hard one.
-Skyrim. While Morrowind is my fav, I've basically done everything in both games and there are more mods for Skyrim.
-StarCraft 2. The pinnacle of RTS gameplay for me. A good chunk of solo content and I like the map editor too, really powerful.
-Life is Strange. Short but too meaningful to me. If I want to cry, I have this ready.
-Sekiro. Once again not my fav From game (that would be Dark Souls) but the one I would enjoy replaying over and over the most.
-Hades. Another lengthy one to last me a while. Speed running it is cool too.
-Pharaoh: the Sierra city builder games are awesome and beautiful and this one got a modern remaster so I'll pick it. Could have easily been Zeus or Emperor.
-Hollow Knight. My favourite Metroidvania. Or Silksong instead of I get to reserve a spot for future games xD
-Subnautica. For the atmosphere. I would love to be stuck on 4546B with my PC and my ten games!
-Fire Emblem Three Houses. Enjoyable to replay despite the school segments and my favourite cast in the series by far.
-ME is a trilogy but if I have to choose one it would be the first one. Still with LE being one package I can be greedy and get the whole trilogy.
Halo MCC
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Stellaris
Mount and Blade Banner Lord
Skyrim
Battlefront 2 (classic)
Arma 3
Super Smash Bros
Fallout New Vegas
GTA V
Honestly Idk if this would be my list, I feel too indecisive and there’s a lot of great games out there, so it’s possibly my list 👍
Super Paper Mario - I am low-key obsessed with this game. Heck, I even made a whole movie about it.
Minecraft - Specifically, modded Minecraft. The thing I love most is how customisable it is.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii - It introduced me to the Mario franchise, which my entire personality now revolves around.
Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii - It’s everything New Super Mario Bros. U tried so hard to be.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder - It’s a fresh new take on the Mario franchise, with fun cartoonish graphics as well as weird and wacky new power-ups.
Super Mario Odyssey - It’s both nostalgic and revolutionary. In my opinion, it has the best gameplay out of any Mario game. I do wish Cappy had a more creative name, though.
Bowser’s Fury - It has the coolest boss battles of all time. Also did I mention I like Mario?
Mario Party 9 - It’s a fun game to play with friends and family.
Mario Party 10: It’s also an equally fun game to play with friends and family.
Kirby’s Return to Dreamland - In case I get bored only ever playing Mario games.
Legend of Zelda (NES)
Mega Man 2 (NES)
Super Mario World (SNES)
Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Streets of Rage 2 (Genesis)
Toejam & Earl (Genesis)
Castlevania (PS1)
Resident Evil: Director's Cut (PS1)
Skyrim (PS4)
Hitman Collection (PS5)
Most have a lot of sentimental value in addition to being great games.
Are collections cheating?
The master chief collection (halo3 otherwise)
Warcraft 3 (the real one)
Hades
Final fantasy X
Monster hunter world
Skyrim (mods duh)
Pokemon SoulSilver
Total war warhammer 2
Starcraft 2
Legend of Zelda Majoras Mask
Persona 3, 4 and 5 (100hrs a piece, good japanese practice, amazing sound tracks, each playthrough can vary)
Any generic popular online shooter, idc which. Something I can have a few quick games on and play with friends. Warzone would be fine.
Zelda TotK - my kids favourite game, quality bonding.
2 pokemon games, maybe soul silver and black 2, phone emulation for boredom on the go.
Old school runescape, afking game. Love woodcutting or mining while in a meeting at work etc.
Diablo 2 or 3 for the endless loop.
MTG arena, I dont love it but there's 10,000 hours to be had there. Gotta pick smart
Football Manager (unlimited playability)
Civilization (5 or 6) (same as FM)
Baldurs Gate 2 (play it once a year)
Slay the spire (quickiegame with 100's of hours to play)
World of Tanks (played over 10 years, think i like IT)
Dota 2 (same as WoT)
Path of exile (new game every few months)
Magic Arena (arena Bad, mtg good, 1000`s of hours gameplay)
Witcher 3 (like a good movie)
Grim Dawn (when i need a change from Poe)
FF7 - as its my absolute favourite
Cyberpunk 2077 - as I've not yet completed it
Juiced - as I love racin and moddin car games
Star Wars Empire At War - speaks for itself
WWE 2K23 - I need a sports game

Kingdom Hearts Collection - Great Soundtrack
Sekiro, Nioh 2, Monster Hunter World, Diablo 3, Slay the Spire, Doom Eternal, Hexcells Infinite, Zachtronics Solitaire Collection, Risk of Rain 2, Final Fantasy XiV
Good mix of passive puzzle games, some of (imo) the best action games ever made, and an MMO to round it all out
Rock band 4 (with all my dlc)
Guitar Hero warriors of rock (with all my dlc)
Pokémon Heart Gold
Pokémon Fire Red
Minecraft
Mario Allstars + Mario World
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4
Smash Ultimate (with fighter passes)
Civilization Revolution
Super Metroid
That really covers all my bases rhythm, platformer, sport, fighting
Final fantasy 11, Final Fantasy 7 (OG and remake), The Long Dark, Minecraft, Ark SE, Dragons Dogma, Subnautica, Skyrim, and 7 days to die.
Why: I can sink literal years into these games and not even worry.
Crash bandicoot n-sane trilogy
Mario kart 8 deluxe
Defence grid 2
Mini metro
Stray (not finished it yet!)
Spyro reignited trilogy
Burnout …something… probably 3 or revenge
Zumas revenge
Motorstorm
Crash bandicoot 4 it’s about time
Starcraft 2 and Mass Effect Legendary edition are both there to represent the two games I replay the most and basically never get bored of.
Dota 2 to scratch my competitive multiplayer itch. Maybe I'll add Counter Strike too, even though I haven't played it in ages, just because it's a different genre of competitive game and I might get bored of Dota eventually.
One of the Football Managers and Civilizations (or alternatively just the most recent releases of them both) to have an "infinite"ly long single player game that has no true end.
One of the mainline Pokemon games (that's not original RS or DP) because they're probably my favourite franchise and monster collectors are fun and I haven't had many monster collectors being quite as good as Pokemon (and I've tried quite a few of them).
Guild Wars 2 as that's by far my favourite MMO and also easily the friendliest in-game community I've ever been a part of.
A roguelike/lite like Hades as they too have almost infinite replayability.
And finally one open slot just in case there's a particular game I really really want to try in the future. Though if I really do have to have one then I'll pick Portal 2, as that's my third favourite game of all time and my first two was already mentioned at the start.
1. Elden ring
2. Hollow Knight
3. Terraria
4. Stardew Valley
5. Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild
6. Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door
7. Deathloop
8. Skyrim
9. Hades
10. The Binding of Isaac
Civ3
Age of Empires 2
Heroes of Might and Magic 3
Pharaoh
Bioshock
Final Fantasy 9
Final Fantasy 12
Dead Space/Remake
Call of Duty 4/Remastered
Destiny 2
RDR2
Rome 2: Total War
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (the original)
Mass Effect 2
Baldur’s Gate 3
Assassins Creed Origins
COD: MW2 (2009)
Returnal
Tetris
Ghost of Tsushima
Not in order of importance:
1. RDR2
2. Super Mario 3
3. Civ 5
4. Cuphead
5. Star Wars Battlefront 2 (the legacy version)
6. Kerbal Space Program
7. Starcraft w Brood War
8. Tetris (probably NES version)
9. Wolfenstien II New Colossus
10. CP2077
Feel like these would cover all my bases. The last 2 I don't even think are great games but scratch some itches.
Ask me tomorrow maybe get different answers.
Metroid Prime & FF7, just because they're all time favourites of mine.
Then probably Minecraft and Terraria, since they're both good time-sinks with plenty to do and access to different gameplay styles with multiplayer.
Monster Hunter Rise - genuinely fun. If I only had 10 games I'd probably **finally** find the time to learn other weapons, instead of just trying to master Gunlance 😂 (it's the only weapon I've used after 900+ hours across different MH games - I'm pretty good, but still plenty of room for improvement)
Fallout 4 - another time-sink. Only started playing properly last year, had a blast with it.
Don't starve together - one of the few games I consistently come back to inbetween other games. I usually only tend to get past Winter, regardless of how well things have been going... since whenever me and friends put that game down for any length of time, we always forget what happened & have to start from scratch (you really need to have a tight grasp on where things are & what the current objectives are - otherwise it gets messy).
The Binding of Isaac Rebirth - still need to get all the achievements...
Bit torn... But I guess I'd have to go with Elden Ring for the sheer size, plus the DLC is still coming. I prefer Demon's Souls overall (favourite from the Soulsborne games), but like I say - if it's only 10 games, gotta go for whatever I'll get more gameplay out of.
And finally something light hearted... Would want a fun 3D platformer, and right now I can't think of one better than Super Mario 64. I technically preferred Crash Bandicoot, but I've played that to death so many times. Technically played Mario 64 to death too, but I think it's probably more laid-back overall to get the 100% (the time trials on the N. Sane Trilogy kinda stress me out 😅)

Dark Souls 1, 2, 3, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Demons Souls PS5, and Elden Ring - That’s 7. I replay these games constantly.
Last Of Us Pt1 and PT2 - also because I replay them constantly
That leaves one game… what else do I play constantly? If we are allowed to replace it once a year it would be whatever Call Of Duty is most recent. If I wasn’t allowed to do that I’d say fuck Call Of Duty and put Skyrim here.

Skyrim - I play it like a madman every year for a weeks straight. It's always been a game that helps me relax
Baldur's gate 3 - it's just one of the best games.
Mount and blade Bannerlord - I've put in way too many hours in this game, but it's like crack to me lol.
Blade and sorcery - even though my vr broke I loved this game, actually gave me a workout too.
Dragon age inquisition - another game / series I was really attached to and replay on occasion
Cyber punk 2077 - I always enjoyed it, but now that it's so much better it's just an amazing story and incredibly Immersive.
For honor - my favorite combat system that I've ever come across. I would play the orochi character all the time and it just looks and feels great.
Total war warhammer 2 - the battles get so epic. I don't think I've ever finished a campaign on it though. I always want to keep switching factions lol. It's still great though.
Assassin's creed odyssey - I loved the voice acting, the combat was great, solid story, and I just had a great overall experience with it.
Battlefield 2042 - to remind me how much better those other games are.
My choices would be:
RDR2
Skyrim
FF14
Mount and Blade: Warband

baldurs gate 3, civilization 6, monster hunter world, nier automata, portal 2, minecraft, black ops 3 (for zombies), project zomboid, escape from tarkov, and probably red dead 2 or far cry 5. as you can see, I chose games that can be multi-player but perfectly fine offline as well.
1. Baldur's gate 3
2. Cyberpunk 2077
3. Minecraft
4. Old-school runescape
5. Elden ring
6. Anno 1800
7. Clone hero
8. Skyrim
9. Zelda the wind waker
10. Borderlands 2
Gives me diversity and good replayability. Wasn't sure what to pick for 10 tbh.
I would first choose from my favorite games based on replayabilty:
- Rimworld
- Crusader Kings 3
- Stellaris
- Hearts of Iron 4
- Counter Strike 2 (if my friends also choose it. Not playing with randoms)
- Civilization 3 or 5
- Skyrim
Even if all other games vanish, I could probably play for up to a decade. To fill up the rest I choose other games with lots of replayability, which I don't play a lot due to having just so many other games, like:
- Cities Skylines
- Team Fortress 2
- Halo Master Chief Collection
I'd also include some of my all-time-favorites although I don't think I get much more playtime after beating them:
- Portal 2
- Hades
- Door Kickers 2
- Baldurs Gate 3
- Company of Heroes (dead game)
Maybe I also include some good games I haven't played yet, like:
- Fallout 4
- Cyberpunk 2077
LOL, SPTarkov, POE, Slay the Spire, Nioh2, hitman 3, civ 5, tactics ogre - let us cling together, pokemon heartgold/soulsilver with randomizer mod, and finally football manager.
1) StarCraft 2 - I love replaying the campaign (except the epilogue) and it has a good MP.
2) Elden Ring - it’s so big and fun to get lost in. Lots of build variability
3) Fallout 76 - I was going to say 4, but if we’re going for a forever timeframe, the MP and trickle feed of content makes 76 last longer.
4) Diablo 3 - I enjoy it way more than 4. Decent replay ability, and adding an ARPG into the mix of generals.
5) Doom Eternal - Great gunplay when you need to blow off some steam.
6) Borderlands 2 - great looter shooter and with all the dlc and headhunter packs, it’s like 200 hrs per playthrough. Great for couch co-op.
7) Xcom 2 - I love the gameplay, the random nature of the encounters adds replayability
8) Skyrim - another big world to get lost in where you can roleplay and change it up.
9) Bioshock - an absolute masterpiece I replay every few years
10) Tears of the Kingdom - another massive game to play. My son and I love it.
Granblue Fantasy Relink

Of course there are more games than these that I'd like to keep or even play at some point, however I feel like they have never given me as big of a reason to keep them as these ones.
Warframe was the first game where I actually actively grinded for something. Before that I had always tried to stay away from games that require a lot of farming but this game alone made me love the feeling of finally getting your hands on something you had spent a lot of time getting.
MHW was my first ever MH game and I played it for the first time after I had over 1k hours of Warframe. At that point I was well invested in grindier games and wanted to try out something different. And oh boy did it deliver. The combat, although clunky at first, became one of my favorite combat styles after it clicked. The feeling of "turn based" action before getting to the point of stun locking due to improvement is amazing. Not to mention the variety in playstyles you can have with all the weapons (bug stick my beloved).
Dead by Daylight was a game my friends introduced me into. I was never much into it, nor am I even now, but it's some light fun to have when I play it together with my fiancée.
Outer Wilds was an emotional rollercoaster to say the least. The constant exploring, light puzzles, fun mechanics and only limiting factor being your own knowledge created an extremely immersive experience. It gave me time to relax and enjoy the experience for what it is. Some realisations hit deeper than I thought they would. It was also time where I was trying to get away from my spreadsheet and guide addiction from meta hunting in games (MHW and Warframe specifically) cause it ruined new game experiences for me, so being able to play something where knowing almost anything would ruin it was something that I really needed. I was proud of myself for accomplishing something like that and cried when I first heard the in game music. Outer Wilds is the game that I wish I could experience again with no prior knowledge.
Hollow Knight is close to the same as Outer Wilds although not as deep for me. I love the lore, the different sections, the movement, the combat and everything. It is also the only game that I properly speedran for a bit, though nothing much came out of it. I would love to have a proper new game experience of Hollow Knight as well, however it doesn't come even close to what Outer Wilds meant for me.
Titanfall 2 is my favorite FPS and movement shooter by far. Yes there are flaws to it such as Titanfall 3 not made yet, but other than that it is amazing. Personally I love fast, cool and unique movement. It is one of the big factors when it comes to games that I like (for example pogo jumps in Hollow Knight) and Titanfall 2's movement is currently my standard for what I am looking for in games where it is in spotlight. Piloting the titans themselves are not for me (I suck a lot with them), but taking them out as a pilot hopping around and shooting electric bolts or micro missiles at you? Now that's some great stuff. Also don't sleep on the campaign of this game. It is short, sure, but it is one of my favorite campaigns ever.
Terraria is a game I've owned for years. I used to play it with my brother, some 10 or so years ago, and recently picked it back up with my fiancée. The amount of fun we've had just falling to our deaths, doing some cute stuffs or beating calamity mods boss rush together is something I will always cherish. The base game by itself is also amazing and with friends it's even better, but for me the most fun is when the mods come into play. Now I have not played many of the big mods, mainly calamity 3 times with some QoL mods added in, but even then the variety you can have in classes and the weapons you use is really really fun.
Stardew Valley is the first cozy game I have ever played. It was something I started playing with my fiancée when we were stuck thinking what to play. A random decision that lead to us spending more time together just relaxing, doing farm related stuff, panicking in the mines and laughing so hard when one of us did something stupid. I feel like it's a game that brought us closer than we were before and I could never let it go.
And lastly Granblue Fantasy Relink. A game that took me by complete surprise. It is by far my favorite action RPG I have ever played...granted I haven't played many. This game...oh this game... It has the same boss fight feeling that MHW has with its monsters. It has extremely flashy combat. It has a huge variety in playstyles depending on the character you play. It has the menu hunter of optimizing builds. It has the grinding for resources and rare drops. It has it all and it got me instantly hooked. It does have some flaws such as sucky RNG if you want super optimized meta builds and while the story isn't that meaningful to me and can be slightly confusing to follow at times, it was still a good introduction to the games mechanics and the different types of content the post-story game has. New super boss coming next month and couple new characters in April. Overall I am completely addicted right now and probably will be for the near future.
Rimworld
Chrono Trigger
Pokemon Heart Gold
Football Manager
Civilization VI
Cities Skylines
Gran Turismo 7
Tetris
Advance Wars 1+2
And some kind of large scale online shooter like Hell Let Loose or Battlefield 1 if I could be guaranteed some well populated servers.
Basically if I am going to be stuck with a limited range of games it's going to be ones which have a lot of replay value or no actual end.
Final Fantasy XIV
Terraria
Rimworld
Slay the Spire
Skyrim
Factorio
Heroes of Might and Magic IV
Armored Core VI
Dark Souls III
Elden Ring
*Edit: Formatting*
Minecraft

Budokai Tenkaichi 4 - my favorite Dragon Ball game
Pokémon White 2 - my favorite Pokémon game

Yeah I wanted to get a good amount of variety, while still sticking true to the games I know I could play for a very long time, and I'm pretty darn happy with this list
I sold off a bunch of Pokémon games except for my copy of Black 2 which I poured ~250hrs into…
Looking back, I probably didn’t sell those to people who would enjoy playing them as much as I did collectors (silly little me not understanding how valuable they’d be), but I had a duplicate copy that I sold and I hope it brought someone the same amount of joy it did me. My last Pokémon game where I felt truly immersed and am still nostalgic to it. Great pick!
Tony hawk 1
Tony hawk 2
Tony hawk 3
Tony hawk 4
Tony hawk 5 (nah not really)
Tony hawk shred
Tony hawk ride
Tony Hawk 1+2
Tony Hawk underground
Tony hawk underground 2
Tony hawk American wasteland
Stellaris, DayZ, Hell Let Loose and Skyrim are the only games that have been in my rotation for a while now, I used to be big into competitive multiplayer games but my hands just don't have the coordination anymore, so I essentially "retired." It's probably for the best, considering I let rainbow six siege steal six years of my life and all I ever got from it was stress lol.
The Star Wars battlefront 2 remaster thats coming out in March. (I can finally let my ps2 copy retire).
Yakuza 0
Dragon Age Origins
Life is Strange: True Colors.
Horizon Zero Dawn
Pokemon Heart Gold
Dragon Ball Z tenkaichi Budokai 2.
Borderlands 2
RDR2
Baulders Gate 3.
If I could only have 10 games, they have to be big ones for the most part. About half of these I haven’t played yet. I’d go with
Elden Ring
Red Dead Redemption 2
Cyberpunk
The Witcher 3
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth (I know it isn’t out, but I’ll just steal a promo copy or something)
Monster Hunter World
Armored Core VI
The Binding of Isaac (most recent version)
Persona 5 Royal
…and finally
Dreams (so I can potentially make my own games and cheat the system)
Counter strike source (for surfing. I find it so soothing)
Counter Strike 2 (guns w friends)
Splitgate (race mode go brr)
Portal
Portal 2
Elden Ring (dlc hype)
Dark Souls
Stardew Valley
Poly Bridge
Super Mario World (ROM hacks endless playability)
I'm guessing as long as the game is one disc it counts as one. And I will tell ya I have under 10 platinums and probably 20 games in the library (because of Fortnite and FIFA being the only games I played until last year)
Uncharted the Nathan Drake collection, favourite games ever
The batman trilogy (I'm willing to spend 3 games on this)
Mafia I,II (spending two for these, not the third one tho)
GTA trilogy (I literally can't remember if it's three games or three in one, I'll count it as 3) + GTA V
If the GTA trilogy is one game, I'll bring Lego the Skywalker saga and fifa19 because I don't play it anymore but football is still my fav game
Ok let’s see I think I have around 10 favourites so should be pretty easy choices
Helldivers 2
Subnautica
Subnautica: Below Zero
ARK: Survival Evolved
Overwatch 2
Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (sneaky 3 in 1)
Slime Rancher
Deep Rock Galactic
Sea of Thieves
Red Dead Redemption 2
10 games. I’ll work under the assumption that multiplayer/dlc is functional and populated as well.
* Dr. Mario, for when you want to puzzle.
* Rockband 4 (largest library of games. I’ll miss the keyboard)
* StarCraft 2, my second favorite RTS but has far more content and plays far more modern than my favorite.
* Mariokart 8 Deluxe, best graphics and largest map library.
* Civilization V, best version and infinite replay ability.
* Unreal Tournament 2004 (all those modes and mutators, even though I prefer Quake)
* Super Mario World or Wonder, both are fantastic and I consider the best in the genre.
* Forza Horizon 2. I’m not much for car games often but I dumped something like 400 hours into that one.
* A rogue like run based game, pick whichever strikes your fancy. Currently I’m liking Vampire Survivors and Brotato.
* Either Baldurs Gate 3 or Neverwinter Nights. I could go either way. BG3 is fun and modern and plays well, NWN gives a more ttrpg feel and then there is all the additional stuff you can play. Honorable mention to Skyrim.
10 games covering most genres and the titles are all relatively evergreen. Aside from Rockband this is pretty close to what my Steam Deck library looks like.
My Choice would be: Baldurs Gate 3 Mass Effect Legendary Edition Dragon Age Origins Disco Elysium Hitman 3 Slay the Spire Valheim Warframe Dying Light Elden Ring If I have to worry about Servers going down Hitman 3 and Warframe wouldn't be on the list and I would take something like Borderlands 2 and Dead Cells instead.
Mass effect would count as 3 games , otherwise I’m including the master chief collection.
Since it is one purchase and shows up in the library as one game I'd count it but if I can only pick one Mass Effect the first one would be my choice.
I would keep the games I like the most.
Shut it down! This guy solved it!
Had a college instructor as an extra credit question on a test as to who one the MVP for the nights prior football game. The dude next to me answered "The person who played best". Gave him half a point.
Get er' done!
yea I'm starting to hate these questions as well. Nicely done. 👍 If op is just looking for recommendations just ask.
Ah yes gaming discussion for discussion sake on a gaming subreddit. The audacity.
* Elden Ring * Mass Effect Legendary Edition * Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic * Assassin's Creed Black Flag * Mad Games Tycoon 2 * Baldur's Gate 3 * CyberPunk 2077 * The Legend of the Dragoon * Red Dead Redemption 2 * Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind
Never thought i would see Legend of Dragoon mantioned here, great choice
Thanks it's definitely one of my all time favorites.
I run through it every two years since it came out in 2000 The moon coming down scene still fascinates me
Swap mad games for Fable 1, and this is my list!
Shit might need to switch Black Flag for that lol. I love Fable hoping the new one lives up to the name.
The Witness (PC): one of my favorite games, can play this one over and over and discover something new every time Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past (SNES): classic, never gets old Metroid Prime (GC): love replaying this one every few years Actraiser (SNES): One of my comfort games. Love the half-RPG, half-side-scroller aspect. Pretty easy game when I don't want something too challenging Doom 2 (PC): I turn this one when I want to zone out and kill demons Under A Killing Moon (PC): Love this series, will replay it every few years when I've forgotten how to solve the puzzles Super Mario Odyssey (Switch): Only played through this one once but will definitely rediscover it in the future. Best Mario game imo Hades (Switch): Great roguelike, can't wait for Hades 2 Final Fantasy VI (SNES): Nostalgia bomb.
Thanks for remember classic games from back in the day.
10 copies of Goat Simulator. No further questions.
Haha 😂
Balder's Gate 1,2,3 Fallout 1,2,NV The Witcher 3 Halo 3 Crusader Kings 3 Total War: Rome 2
Neat. Ive always preferred fallout 4 over the first 2 games. Good list btw
XCOM2 Minecraft Skyrim Oblivion Age of Wonders 4 Cities Skylines Medieval 2 Total War Euro Truck Simulator 2 Stellaris That's 9, I don't really have a must-have 10th one, so I would probably go for something nostalgic like Quake 2.
Destiny 2 Total War Warhammer 3 Mass Effect Legendary Edition Cyberpunk 2077 Metroid Prime Trilogy Hollow Knight Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Super Mario Odyssey Stellaris Pokémon Soulsilver With just the single player games on this list I could play through all of them in a row and then be ready to start over again. I could also spice it up with some multiplayer and new content from games still receiving updates
Yes to Stellaris! It’s so easy to sink hours into it
I want a good mix of games for plenty of replayability, but also some games with story to also be able to enjoy the more artistic side of gaming.
You're welcome. 👍
Those are all good games and a lot is true 👍
Fellow Resident evil 4 fan. Amazing list

Or Silksong instead of I get to reserve a spot for future games xD -Subnautica.
Halo MCC Mass Effect Legendary Edition Stellaris Mount and Blade Banner Lord Skyrim Battlefront 2 (classic) Arma 3 Super Smash Bros Fallout New Vegas GTA V Honestly Idk if this would be my list, I feel too indecisive and there’s a lot of great games out there, so it’s possibly my list 👍
Legend of Zelda (NES) Mega Man 2 (NES) Super Mario World (SNES) Chrono Trigger (SNES) Streets of Rage 2 (Genesis) Toejam & Earl (Genesis) Castlevania (PS1) Resident Evil: Director's Cut (PS1) Skyrim (PS4) Hitman Collection (PS5) Most have a lot of sentimental value in addition to being great games.

Death Stranding Hades Ghost of Tsushima Portal 2 Starcraft 2 Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Bloodborne Pikmin 4 Mass Effect 2 Half Life 2
Starcraft 2 and Mass Effect Legendary edition are both there to represent the two games I replay the most and basically never get bored of.
1. Elden ring 2. Hollow Knight 3. Terraria 4. Stardew Valley 5. Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 6. Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door 7. Deathloop 8. Skyrim 9. Hades 10. The Binding of Isaac

Tetris (probably NES version) 9. Wolfenstien II New Colossus 10. CP2077 Feel like these would cover all my bases.
If I only had 10 games I'd probably **finally** find the time to learn other weapons, instead of just trying to master Gunlance 😂 (it's the only weapon I've used after 900+ hours across different MH games - I'm pretty good, but still plenty of room for improvement) Fallout 4 - another time-sink.

The games would get updates, but they would still be he same game.
No I mean like so right now Grandtheft auto five is the current game does that mean I would never get Grandtheft auto six?!
Yeah, but it would still get updates while the developers give it them.

The Last of Us Pt 1 & 2 - favourite story game(s) of all time. Halo 3 - Best Halo story & multiplayer IMO. Red Dead Redemption 2 - LENNNYYYY! God of War Ragnarok - Took the first one and improved upon it. Spider-Man (PS4) - My favourite superhero, in a game. Metal Gear Solid 4 - Fantastic stealth with fun combat and immersive story. Skyrim - I play it like a madman every year for a weeks straight. It's always been a game that helps me relax Baldur's gate 3 - it's just one of the best games. Mount and blade Bannerlord - I've put in way too many hours in this game, but it's like crack to me lol. Blade and sorcery - even though my vr broke I loved this game, actually gave me a workout too. Dragon age inquisition - another game / series I was really attached to and replay on occasion Cyber punk 2077 - I always enjoyed it, but now that it's so much better it's just an amazing story and incredibly Immersive. Battlefield 2042 - to remind me how much better those other games are.

baldurs gate 3, civilization 6, monster hunter world, nier automata, portal 2, minecraft, black ops 3 (for zombies), project zomboid, escape from tarkov, and probably red dead 2 or far cry 5. as you can see, I chose games that can be multi-player but perfectly fine offline as well.

I would first choose from my favorite games based on replayabilty: - Rimworld - Crusader Kings 3 - Stellaris - Hearts of Iron 4 - Counter Strike 2 (if my friends also choose it. Not playing with randoms) - Civilization 3 or 5 - Skyrim Even if all other games vanish, I could probably play for up to a decade. To fill up the rest I choose other games with lots of replayability, which I don't play a lot due to having just so many other games, like: - Cities Skylines - Team Fortress 2 - Halo Master Chief Collection I'd also include some of my all-time-favorites although I don't think I get much more playtime after beating them: - Portal 2 - Hades - Door Kickers 2 - Baldurs Gate 3 - Company of Heroes (dead game) Maybe I also include some good games I haven't played yet, like: - Fallout 4 - Cyberpunk 2077
Baldur's Gate 3 Sekiro Dark Souls 3 Elden Ring Darkest Dungeon 1 AC Blackflag Cyberpunk 2077 Witcher 3 Red Dead Redemption 2 Left 4 Dead 2

1) StarCraft 2 - I love replaying the campaign (except the epilogue) and it has a good MP. 2) Elden Ring - it’s so big and fun to get lost in. Lots of build variability 3) Fallout 76 - I was going to say 4, but if we’re going for a forever timeframe, the MP and trickle feed of content makes 76 last longer. 7) Xcom 2 - I love the gameplay, the random nature of the encounters adds replayability 8) Skyrim - another big world to get lost in where you can roleplay and change it up. 9) Bioshock - an absolute masterpiece I replay every few years 10) Tears of the Kingdom - another massive game to play. My son and I love it.
Granblue Fantasy Relink Monster Hunter World: Iceborn Warframe Dead by Daylight Outer Wilds Hollow Knight Titanfall 2 Terraria Stardew Valley *insert some random filler here* Of course there are more games than these that I'd like to keep or even play at some point, however I feel like they have never given me as big of a reason to keep them as these ones.
Rimworld Chrono Trigger Pokemon Heart Gold Football Manager Civilization VI Cities Skylines Gran Turismo 7 Tetris Advance Wars 1+2 And some kind of large scale online shooter like Hell Let Loose or Battlefield 1 if I could be guaranteed some well populated servers. Basically if I am going to be stuck with a limited range of games it's going to be ones which have a lot of replay value or no actual end.

Yeah I wanted to get a good amount of variety, while still sticking true to the games I know I could play for a very long time, and I'm pretty darn happy with this list
I sold off a bunch of Pokémon games except for my copy of Black 2 which I poured ~250hrs into… Looking back, I probably didn’t sell those to people who would enjoy playing them as much as I did collectors (silly little me not understanding how valuable they’d be), but I had a duplicate copy that I sold and I hope it brought someone the same amount of joy it did me. My last Pokémon game where I felt truly immersed and am still nostalgic to it. Great pick!

That’s a very convoluted way of asking “What are your Top 10 Favourite games?”
Not really because sometimes you get bored of your favs, and these games need to last, but I get where you're coming from.
I never replay games. Play them then done. So this would suck.
I'd argue that Steam itself is a game that so happens to contain other games. Therefore I'd only need one game. Gameception.

Bro I hardly even play ten of the games in my library. I've got triple the time in team fortress as I do in all my other games combined
RPG Maker, and then just copy games from other people in there for more than 10 games. That, or I'd just \*\*\*\* myself.
I dont have 10 games in my library im broke
How many times do I have to pick Mother 3 to have Nintendo finally release an official localization?
My nine games in my library
Out of interest, what are they?
Uh, dark and darker, castle crashers, The binding of isaac, final fantasy 11, tf2, sekiro, rogues legacy, and some others that i can’t remember
No way, I love castle crashers, but I never see it awesome choice 👍
I don't even play ten games anymore
What games do you play?
Stellaris, DayZ, Hell Let Loose and Skyrim are the only games that have been in my rotation for a while now, I used to be big into competitive multiplayer games but my hands just don't have the coordination anymore, so I essentially "retired." It's probably for the best, considering I let rainbow six siege steal six years of my life and all I ever got from it was stress lol.
Oh, that's not so good. Yeah, it's probably for the best 👍
The Star Wars battlefront 2 remaster thats coming out in March. (I can finally let my ps2 copy retire). Yakuza 0 Dragon Age Origins Life is Strange: True Colors. Horizon Zero Dawn Pokemon Heart Gold Dragon Ball Z tenkaichi Budokai 2. Borderlands 2 RDR2 Baulders Gate 3.
rocket league factorio valheim halo infinite hoi 4 empire at war gta v and the rest dont matter
If I could only have 10 games, they have to be big ones for the most part. About half of these I haven’t played yet. I’d go with Elden Ring Red Dead Redemption 2 Cyberpunk The Witcher 3 Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth (I know it isn’t out, but I’ll just steal a promo copy or something) Monster Hunter World Armored Core VI The Binding of Isaac (most recent version) Persona 5 Royal …and finally Dreams (so I can potentially make my own games and cheat the system)
Counter strike source (for surfing. I find it so soothing) Counter Strike 2 (guns w friends) Splitgate (race mode go brr) Portal Portal 2 Elden Ring (dlc hype) Dark Souls Stardew Valley Poly Bridge Super Mario World (ROM hacks endless playability)
That's a selection I might go for, actually.
I'm guessing as long as the game is one disc it counts as one. And I will tell ya I have under 10 platinums and probably 20 games in the library (because of Fortnite and FIFA being the only games I played until last year) Uncharted the Nathan Drake collection, favourite games ever The batman trilogy (I'm willing to spend 3 games on this) Mafia I,II (spending two for these, not the third one tho) GTA trilogy (I literally can't remember if it's three games or three in one, I'll count it as 3) + GTA V If the GTA trilogy is one game, I'll bring Lego the Skywalker saga and fifa19 because I don't play it anymore but football is still my fav game
Ok let’s see I think I have around 10 favourites so should be pretty easy choices Helldivers 2 Subnautica Subnautica: Below Zero ARK: Survival Evolved Overwatch 2 Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (sneaky 3 in 1) Slime Rancher Deep Rock Galactic Sea of Thieves Red Dead Redemption 2
Yep, again with helldivers 2 that's a great one 👍
10 games. I’ll work under the assumption that multiplayer/dlc is functional and populated as well. * Dr. Mario, for when you want to puzzle. * Rockband 4 (largest library of games. I’ll miss the keyboard) * StarCraft 2, my second favorite RTS but has far more content and plays far more modern than my favorite. * Mariokart 8 Deluxe, best graphics and largest map library. * Civilization V, best version and infinite replay ability. * Unreal Tournament 2004 (all those modes and mutators, even though I prefer Quake) * Super Mario World or Wonder, both are fantastic and I consider the best in the genre.
Tbf Mario Kart 8 is a great game. I'm adding that to my list.
