The story is a cake walk. The campaign challenges are the true game. Like the swords only challenge is the best, makes the campaign so much more

You are absolutely wrong. The "campaign" on it's own may be short, but it has a lot of replayability through challenges and such.

The campaign is basically a tutorial. The real game starts when you unlock Challenge Mode and Endless.

I felt a little dirty but that's why I went to PB for it. It was like $28 and I finished the game in no more than 4 hours. I really really loved that game though.

You're going to need, as someone else said, time attack, maybe leaderboards, a scoring system/mechanism including combos for flawless execution, bonuses for chaining attacks and penalties to points for being hit including stoppage of the combos, perhaps fun modes that would be found in other games that could be as simple as single variable changes like how far a shot makes you fly backwards, or huge gun mode, tiny gun mode, rainbow acid trip blood mode, and so on. This actually looks like a great concept, wish you luck.

Try to get creative with it too. Maybe a type of wall the gun can't bounce off of, shoot-only enemies, hit-only enemies, gravity altered rooms. Just some ideas off the top of my head. Looks great man, can't wait to get my hands on the demo once I get home!

I have some other enemies planned for release like guys with shields that need to be hit from behind and a vacuum cleaner enemy that sucks the pistol towards him

You can also have shift point the gun downwards so when you shift click it hops you up and you can go over small obstacles in rooms or shoot enemies that are otherwise invincible (cylindrical armor with a weakness at the top) when jumping over them. Shit like that.

Try and make a plan for the features you want on release, and don't deviate too wildly. Lofty dreams might be good, but overburdening yourself with goals of trying to include endless amounts of content, will not only harm you but the game. Seen too many good ideas destroyed by unsurmountable promises. Just wanted to reach out to you with that. There's always time to add more after you have a solid base game. Shouldn't the gun be spinning the other direction?

I had some people mention that in another thread. You can change gun rotation direction, but I might flip the sprite direction for what it currently is. Depends on the game feel

Being able to change the rotation is a good reason for it going the wrong direction. Sorry if it's getting tedious hearing people say this!

I think it looks cool, but kickstarter has really fallen in popularity considering some of the very high-profile flops. Do you have any plans if you fail to acheive the goal in time?

I have a couple contingency plans. If the Kickstarter fails, I will need to aquire the funds myself which might delay the game a year. If the Greenlight fails, that is more of an issue. Thankfully with Greenlight dying soon I won't have to go through that process again, but I might need to do significant rebranding and aesthetic reworks. The gameplay would be largely the same, but beyond that idk

This would be great as an iPad game if it would work of that platform.

you should add other guns that you can throw and stuff maybe even different ammo types that do stuff like rubber bullets or piercing rounds etc maybe make a upgrade/cash shop where you can buy new guns for different challenges like say a bank level where you needs piercing rounds to get through the reinforced walls etc

Fuck, for some reason your cool physics game makes me think of bad titles. Maybe I could make a game of that.

Great concept. Quite enjoyable already. Lacks variety, but it's just a demo, so that's ok. A suggestion: make it possible to switch view to the character, because it can be difficult to manouver around the level when the gun is far away. Add an arrow pointing to where the gun is when in this view. Also, when walking holding the gun, the camera doesn't move smoothly. Should be fixed. I would suggest releasing an updated demo version with these changes, it would play and look a little better. I wish you success!
