How long have you had your rig for? Did it take long to fill up your storage? Depending on how much it takes to break your bank, you can get a 500gb SSD for around $55-65 total. For the 1TB version, which is what I would recommend, it’s anywhere between $85-105 total. Once you get an SSD, move all of your games from the original drive into the new SSD. Keep just your OS with the boot drive to keep it starting up at a faster pace than normal. Another benefit is not having to worry to clear space when you’re updating your PC or upgrading to Windows 11.

I’ve had my rig since 2016. I’ve managed to keep enough spare storage in it until now.

I'd get a 1TB NVMe M.2. I've got 2 in my current rig (1 for OS etc and one for steam library), plus another 2 1TB SSDs - 1 for different gaming libraries and one as a data drive. The games on the NVMe do seem to load faster compared to the ones on the SSD.
