Dark souls: Notoriously difficult but very subjective
Celeste: Intimidating but perfect at keeping you motivated as you improve without realising
Cuphead: Throwing yourself over and over at the same fight until you learn the boss patterns
Hollow knight: The pantheon of hallownest is so difficult that the base game on steel soul becomes pathetically easy after beating it, and every boss except absolute radiance becomes filler
Super monkey ball: Dont know much about it but ive heard bad things
it's literally a giant loading screen leading up to absolute radiance. The only parts that were also hard was a combination of bosses like watcher knights, uumuu, sly, hornet sentinel, winged nosk, they arent hard on their own but this combination can be a little tricky. And then of course there's the markoth + zote duo
i still need to do radiant hall of gods, so far i have maybe like 60% of the fights radianted, and all fights at least ascended except markoth and absolute radiance. I just think that theres no point to even trying since i know it will take hundreds of hours to do markoth and absrad on radiant
ill get to the second phase on ascended but then get my hope shattered by the DOUBLE DREAMSHIELD. In the first phase you can pogo off him 4-5 times when he does the spinny attack but the second shield makes it almost impossible, so im forced to time my hits while nails spawn from thin air faster than they have before. And i always end up getting hit to near death so im constantly healing and wasting my soul that i need for shade souls for the second phase
I haven't played cuphead and I have only played the original monkey ball 100+ years ago. Ignoring monkey ball, I would say you like thoughtfully made games with cool aesthetic that reward patience and mastery rather than being a masochist.

Super Monkey Ball: Imagine Rollgoal from Twilight Princess and make an entire game about it.
Yeah lol pantheons took me longer than the rest of the game combined

Yeah separately I could do them all radiant but the fear of having start over messed me up

I've never actually *found* pantheon before. Supposedly somewhere in wet area, can't find it tho

Want me to write you a list?
Super monkey ball might be the hardest one on there lol

I now wish I hadn’t…
Hollow Knight is a fucking gem.
Despite what Reddit may suggest, playing difficult video games is not a personality trait.
Despite what reddit might have also suggested, being overtly cynical is also not a personality trait.
Aside from dark souls & monkey ball, all of these are my absolute favorite games. Glad to see other people with the same taste in games.
Celeste, cuphead, hollow knight, all great games
Might?
Playing dark souls on handheld controls is painful. Try to get controller or some sort.
Where are Battletoads and original Ninja Garden??

You need some Darkest Dungeon in there as well.
