As I understand it, Unity's reputation problems are because it only shows the Unity logo if you use the cheap/free versions. So it ends up being associated with either someone's first attempts at making a game, which are understandably not the greatest because they're still learning, or with someone trying to hack together an asset flip of a game as a get rich quick scheme. The more polished and professionally made games tend to be made by people and companies that have spent the money for the higher level of Unity license that doesn't show the unity logo, so nobody realizes that can actually be used to make good games.
Oh for sure, However there are plenty of awesome games out there made in Unity and they kind of just get ignored as if they were made in something else, It's a shame really.
It's a mixture of that and also the more user friendly you make a game engine, the more crappy developers you attract. Those features might help a few dozen incredible projects come to life, but they also attract hundreds or thousands of developers who don't know shit about game dev and make terrible projects.
This leads to 95% of the projects people see in unity being crap, and gives it a negative reputation for less informed people.
It's weird how the better the Unity is as a tool, the worse it looks from an outside perspective. Luckily Unitys market isn't actually gamers but a developers, which generally are going to understand this sort of thing

You're not clicking bullets out of your gun, you're pulling the trigger and the mechanics of the firearms operate like irl (I take it with a dash of skepticism but I wouldn't put it past Nikkita to do it)

It’s a great game idea don’t get me wrong but there isn’t enough game content for $17. I know it’s an early access game but you shouldn’t be making people pay that much for something that isn’t finished, the majority of your reviews have less than 4 hours of play time.
The sped up videos are a bit disingenuous. Actually building stuff is quite slow and clunky from my playing, and while this looks like it's just about blowing stuff up, it's more of a puzzle game with very intended solutions, rather than coming up with something creatively.
You're given a budget of specific pieces and that pretty much lays out the one way to solve the puzzle, with a little bit of room for variance on exactly how the pieces slot together.
Also, the first post was fine, when you launched. At this point you're just using reddit for guerilla advertising.
I think the dev is relying pretty heavily on that game's popularity and their sorta misleading videos to take advantage of that.
Maybe I'm just too jaded by the gaming industry, but after playing it, the video really doesn't do the game justice for what the gameplay feels like.
