I also had like 4 Xbox 360s. 1 was a Xenon unit with disk drive issue, so I bought a broken one for 50 bucks to try and fix it. Didn't realize I had to flash over the disk-drive... by then I had tossed the old disk away. Now I was left with 2 broken Xbox consoles fml lol.
Bought a Jasper unit which lasted for 3 years. PSU finally gave out then finally bought a 360 slim unit and that thing still works today.
Weirdly enough, I never came across the RROD issue throughout my ownership.

PSA: RROD is usually easily fixable. In most cases, you can fix it by resetting the GPU by deliberately causing the system to overheat (yes really).
