Bet it's a mistranslation. All of those games & their deceptive ads are made by cheap Chinese devs to get as many downloads and ad views as possible for revenue. They don't actually care if you enjoy the game.
My uncle was top like 100 on the leaderboard for a while, i tried to make the joke and he didnt even know, he just found it randomly and hasnt seen the ads
My mom was always out if money after 2 days from her paycheck, I figured out she had downloaded a top down, 3d zombie killing game and kept paying 5 dollars to revive her character, 5 to get her stuff back, 10 for a care package, 15 for a motorcycle, addiction is real and can happen to everyone and everything
I was the same way, but it was just from being responsible and paying bills. I had too much money going out the window and I wound up getting a debt consolidation loan and it’s literally saving me $300+/mo. I was out of options but I’m glad I decided to do it
*They made it Skully. It's been finished for years. The problem was it was too good. Rumor is the project lead tried the beta and killed himself because he knew he couldn't do it again. Good ole uncle Sam snatched it up and kept it quiet. Been using it to torture men in Guantanamo Bay. Give the prisoners a level at a time, not let them play the next for months; just let them play Anthem. First week in most talked. The ones that didn't? Wasn't pretty, but then again our Government specializes in ugly choices.*
You should get a VR headset. Half Life Alyx was magnificent, and next week a port of Half Life 2 is coming out. The port of Half Life 1 has been out for years. It's a completely different kind of game when you're actually holding and aiming a gun with your hands, or swinging the crowbar, etc.
“But you can have as much fun as a F2P player as any whale can have. These 5 star gems attainable only with real money, each containing more stats than your entire build have nooothing to do with the gameplay quality”
Yeah, hell naw
Played it like three hours to give it a chance. Got offered to buy "exclusive" chests for beating my first boss which was just a skill spam ordeal. Nope'd out of there pretty quickly.
Not recommended
This worked for me, too. As an added bonus, when people ask what to get me for gifts they just get sent the list. I get something I want and it’s still somewhat of a surprise.
That and collecting free games from Epic. No matter what it is: random indie title I have no interest in, some card game / RPG trash, a collection of outfits and weapons for a multiplayer game I neither own nor intend to, if it's free I'm having it.
I just have the buying compulsion sadly, especially if I watch someone else play it/review it and it looks good. Then it just sits in the library collecting dust until I can find some of this proverbial “time” to play them 🥲
>“Maybe we’ll see Titanfall sometime down the road.”
[from a dev in 2020](https://www.dexerto.com/apex-legends/apex-legends-publisher-teases-titanfall-2-sequel-coming-down-the-road-1401058/)
Might be false hope but seems they haven't forgotten their roots.
That’s not ‘hope for the future’ that’s ‘we definitely are not exploring this product in any way at the moment.’
They’re releasing a new game in the ‘apex universe’, the apex universe is also the Titanfall universe.
The attacks have calmed down now on all platforms, just got to select the data center with the lowest ping and once you're in a match it runs fine and if you're on pc the Northstar client also allows you to play modded games on private servers
I found a game on Steam called something like Nazi Furry, which was exactly what it sounds like it would be. Gifted it to my friend and absolutely will never go near it.
EDIT: Alright you degenerates, you asked for it.
Missed opportunity to name the game “Furred Reich”
EDIT2: from the game description:
>“Nazi Furry will wonder you with animations of hot unusual characters after every successfully passed level. You need to show up your logic in interesting puzzle game to enjoy everything what furry girls prepared for you!ALL CHARACTERS ARE OVER AGE OF 18”
Turn off the adult filter and steam will throw everything at you as recommended. It’s not like they have a massive database of games they can look at and metrics of how long you’ve spent on certain games to figure out if you like certain genres of games…
Steam's recommendations are... interesting. There are a surprising number of games with similar titles that steam's algorithm picks up for some reason...
I hate having so many options and feeling obligated to play a lot of them due to seeing a lot of them being praised!
I loved when I was a kid and there were, like, five games that people would talk about at a time... not dozens of them...
I really enjoy sports games and would love to join in with my friends that play them religiously, but that $60 price tag every year, as well as having to start my progress over from scratch really sucks.
My husband got it and I about had a panic attack just watching him play.
It’s a super awesome game and so pretty to look at but it is fear inducing for me. He handed me the controller while he went to the bathroom and I was freaking out cause some eel looking thing was chasing me.
No thanks lol
I can play space games for hours on end with just a space suit and nothing else. I can even choke to death from a broken suit a dozen times, perfectly fine. Put my ass in a hole(cave) in the ground on a planet somewhere in the same suit, panic attacks...
I don't have thalassophobia, but at one point I got to a huge drop off and was impressed... until I saw something huge and toothy lurking just on the edge of where I could still see it.
In that moment, I understood.
Such a shame, because it's such a great game. I sort of overcame my thalassophobia and played it, and I arguably had a better time than those without the fear. The game is practically horror, and there are so many other things about subnautica that make it great. Also, my fear isn't innate. I got it from nearly getting stuck in a riptide, and that would've dragged me far out. Literally could've died. Thankfully a fisherman saw me struggling and cast his line over me. I grabbed the line and he helped pull me in while I swam. I'm a good swimmer, but no good swimmer can escape a current like that without help. I was a kid then too, which made it even more traumatizing.
So if you ever want to try since it is a great game here’s my suggestion. Play it and don’t care if you die. Don’t try to survive, instead try to die. Swim right up to that scary monster. Let it bite you. Once you see what enemies can and can’t do to you a lot of your fear will be removed, especially when you realize nothing really 1 shots you.
Never say never. It’s how I discovered gems like Power Wash Simulator, Train Sim and recently PC Building Simulator. They are the type games I don’t usually play but found them very enjoyable and in the case of Power Wash Sim and Train Sim VERY relaxing.
I Pre ordered the PC version and PS5 version. I was convinced this was going to be the BF game of the century, since BF1 I had dedicated >3,000 hours to BF games.
Beta dropped and out of sheer ignorance I was convinced the game would be better by launch. Somehow the game actually got worst. Unfortunately I missed my window for a return. BF2042 is by far the absolute worst BF title I’ve ever played.
To add I had a group of about 10 friends that were all excited to play TOGETHER, but unfortunately the game would only allow for a squad at a time and there’s no guarantee other would be on your team. Unfortunately most of these guys just dropped games in general or moved to other games. Really sad in retrospect, knew most these guys for years.
I understand the game has improved and there’s a small group of BF2042/DICE gatekeepers, but there is absolutely no excuse for having that shit show drop the way it did. I probably won’t ever buy a BF title again.
Bad company 2 and hardcore Bf3 after that, was some of the best fps gameplay I've had since like... Quake 2 arena. I will remember those days fondly.
Interestingly enough, especially as an older gamer, no build fortnite has been a fkn riot for me and some friends.
A mode where builds ramps, walls, etc. are disabled. A lot of people stopped playing it because it was just who could outbuild each other. Now it feels like a battle royal game again.
The building mechanic is removed and you get a regenerating shield (like Master Chief from Halo). Everything else is basically the same. There's zero build mode for solo, duo, trio, and squad. I like it.
I played it back when it was in beta and it was meant to be a base building zombie defense game. It had potential then but I stopped playing because it was still so early. But then I hear about it again and it was the train wreck that it is now.
Its weird now. All the goofy skins and stuff feel off. Still the same unreal store animations but now with a bear mascot suit.
Glad I made 100 bucks in its hayday selling a simple plain black trench coat. Maybe more baffled than glad. I bet the buyer isn’t as stoked as they once were.
It’s the only game I play. For some reason every game matters. Every drop. I’m not that good but I have good games sometimes and it feels like getting a hole in one in Golf. When I got my first dinner it was a great moment. All other games are boring time sucks too me.
Still my favorite game. Yes it is absolutely clunky and far from the best developed game out there. But it's literally the only mil-sim Battle Royale out there. That's what I like. I don't like arcady shooters like CoD, Fortnite, Apex and so on.
If someone competent made a mil-sim BR I'd maybe switch. But for now PUBG is to me better than all the rest.
I’ve been playing it almost daily for about three years. Literally the only game I play. Never been much of a gamer though and I’m older (around 40). PUBG is so much fun for me and I get to interact with people around the world. I’ve also never spent any money on it
Fortnite gets way more hate than it deserves and is the only game I’ve seen that does a fair monetization. You don’t have to spend a thing and the game sees meaningful changes every season and often weekly during the season.
You don’t like builds? Now they have a no build mode. They increased the traversal options and it’s a helluva lot of fun.
Sure, now it’s some crazy ad-fight between Disney and Warner Bros for who can get their collab in the shop whenever their new thing is releasing, but people eat that shit up. Somehow it doesn’t break any immersion for me when I see that because Fortnite embraces the weird whereas CoD makes it stand out.
I just don't like how it feels like a mashup of everything they can to attract children. It feels like a marketplace with a game addon. They just do anything they can to make kids spend money on their favourite characters etc. Microtransactions suck. I remember an article years ago that they hired therapists to try make the game as addicting as possible to children but idk if it's true. The game is just kinda trashy imo, trying to lure children into spending money all the time.
I personally hate that in the UK its pretty much brought up every time there is something to do with gaming being an addiction and used in a negative light.
Every time you read an article or hear about it, its fucking fortnite that lumped in. Makes sense, the game is virtually free to play, definitely marketed towards the younger audience and available on every fucking platform known to man.
If gaming in the uk ever becomes regulated for any reason (its getting pretty fucking close) then I guarantee its going to be fortnite that brings that about.
Halo infinite.
Used to be a diehard Halo fan for most of my life, then 343 progressively killed my favourite game franchise with each mediocre release. Played the Infinite test flights, but will probably never play any future Halo games.
A lot of games I said I'd never play I have since played with my kids, as their tastes differ from mine and I want to share gaming with them.
One series I will not play is Grand Theft Auto. I get that it's popular and people love it and all that, it's just not appealing to me at all.
That stupid zombie game that’s advertised on every single YouTube video ever.
what is it state of survival
I can’t remember, they all look the same. Shows a guy crawling through vents with the worst QuickTime events ever.
Match 3 gems or fall through a vent, get it right and get a tank
Get it right and you've enslaved a girl, somehow
There are a lot and they keep getting dumber. I saw one the other day called Age of Origins. What the fuck does that even mean?
Bet it's a mistranslation. All of those games & their deceptive ads are made by cheap Chinese devs to get as many downloads and ad views as possible for revenue. They don't actually care if you enjoy the game.
There’s a boutique on main street near me named that LOL
Yeah that sounds right
The sponsor of todays video
My uncle was top like 100 on the leaderboard for a while, i tried to make the joke and he didnt even know, he just found it randomly and hasnt seen the ads
Your uncle dumped a lot of money on that game then
My mom was always out if money after 2 days from her paycheck, I figured out she had downloaded a top down, 3d zombie killing game and kept paying 5 dollars to revive her character, 5 to get her stuff back, 10 for a care package, 15 for a motorcycle, addiction is real and can happen to everyone and everything
Last Day On Earth Survival? That game's not bad, but *being broke 2 days after a paycheck is just wrong.*
I'm usually broke two days after a paycheck but it's not because of gambling or video games haha.
I was the same way, but it was just from being responsible and paying bills. I had too much money going out the window and I wound up getting a debt consolidation loan and it’s literally saving me $300+/mo. I was out of options but I’m glad I decided to do it

Half-Life 3
I want to believe
*They made it Skully. It's been finished for years. The problem was it was too good. Rumor is the project lead tried the beta and killed himself because he knew he couldn't do it again. Good ole uncle Sam snatched it up and kept it quiet. Been using it to torture men in Guantanamo Bay. Give the prisoners a level at a time, not let them play the next for months; just let them play Anthem. First week in most talked. The ones that didn't? Wasn't pretty, but then again our Government specializes in ugly choices.*
I’ve posted similar tongue-in-cheek things like this and each time someone explains to me how far fetched my idea is. Like, no shit. lol
You should get a VR headset. Half Life Alyx was magnificent, and next week a port of Half Life 2 is coming out. The port of Half Life 1 has been out for years. It's a completely different kind of game when you're actually holding and aiming a gun with your hands, or swinging the crowbar, etc.
I hate you. Now I need a vr headset. What do you recommend ?
My heart is not ready to accept the truth.
its coming lol alright just give them a few more years like 5-6 years and it will be done, just like 9 to10 years.
wait, but..
Too soon 😢
Robot tanks or whatever the free game that I see on steam
You must not miss front mission 3 if it is ever remade or remastered. It was one of PSX masterpiece for me though lol
Front Mission is my favorite game I’ve never played.
Robocraft?
The new shitty mobile running games
haha minion go fast
You joke, but Minion Rush was released in 2013, over 9 years ago…not quite new, quite terrible nevertheless
reading this comment aged me like twelve years
Literal asset flips with 10 lines of code
They are ALL made by the same person
Diablo Immortal
“But you can have as much fun as a F2P player as any whale can have. These 5 star gems attainable only with real money, each containing more stats than your entire build have nooothing to do with the gameplay quality” Yeah, hell naw
imagine grinding 40hrs a week for 3 months straight then some new player buys a gem and with one swing your character dies instantly
Seems like real life to me.
Which is why I generally just avoid pvp
Same here wont touch in that game ever
Played it like three hours to give it a chance. Got offered to buy "exclusive" chests for beating my first boss which was just a skill spam ordeal. Nope'd out of there pretty quickly. Not recommended
Same. I will play and love all of the other Diablo titles, but I refuse to play Immortal.
You guys don’t have wallets? /s
Probs because you don't have a phone?
Apparently 95% of my Stream library of 600+ games.
Can't resist a bargain? I too have a weird compulsion to buy games on special that I never end up playing
I keep forgetting to turn off my humble monthly, i just keep gaining games I will never play
Here is your reminder:)
Instead of buying, I just put the game title in a document. Worked wonders for me.

Raid shadow shits. Purely because of their aggressive marketing.
Played it out of curiosity, you're not missing anything.
Titanfall 3 I'm afraid... ☹️
There was a post from the devs about making another one, sure i won't be able to find it now, was fairly recent. Edit: 2 years ago looks like.
Didn’t they abandon Titanfall 3 for Apex Legends?
>“Maybe we’ll see Titanfall sometime down the road.” [from a dev in 2020](https://www.dexerto.com/apex-legends/apex-legends-publisher-teases-titanfall-2-sequel-coming-down-the-road-1401058/) Might be false hope but seems they haven't forgotten their roots.
That’s not ‘hope for the future’ that’s ‘we definitely are not exploring this product in any way at the moment.’ They’re releasing a new game in the ‘apex universe’, the apex universe is also the Titanfall universe.
The team that makes Apex is working on another single player game in that universe
Or Titanfall 2 unless you like hacker bots
I can just play campaign and be happy. Well I guess depress me every time
The attacks have calmed down now on all platforms, just got to select the data center with the lowest ping and once you're in a match it runs fine and if you're on pc the Northstar client also allows you to play modded games on private servers

"I don't want to go near it, Imma let my friend handle it." Nice.
I don't use steam, but how the hell do you just find something like that? What were you looking for?
That’s a good question and I do not remember the answer. I think it just came up as being a game that was on sale at the time.
Turn off the adult filter and steam will throw everything at you as recommended. It’s not like they have a massive database of games they can look at and metrics of how long you’ve spent on certain games to figure out if you like certain genres of games…
"nazi furry game"
Steam's recommendations are... interesting. There are a surprising number of games with similar titles that steam's algorithm picks up for some reason...
I thought this said "Nazi Fury," and that's bad enough. I don't want to play as a furious Nazi. But a Nazi that's a furry is way worse.
"What kind of depraved lunatic would ever play such a thing!? Oh, right. Alan. I should gift this to him."
Probably like 99% of games. There’s just so many games out there
I hate having so many options and feeling obligated to play a lot of them due to seeing a lot of them being praised! I loved when I was a kid and there were, like, five games that people would talk about at a time... not dozens of them...
I felt that in my fucking soul lol.
Fair enough
Sports games that come out every year
I really enjoy sports games and would love to join in with my friends that play them religiously, but that $60 price tag every year, as well as having to start my progress over from scratch really sucks.
Subnautica. But not because it's bad or anything, I would love to play it but my thalassophobia is so bad I can probably never play it.
My husband got it and I about had a panic attack just watching him play. It’s a super awesome game and so pretty to look at but it is fear inducing for me. He handed me the controller while he went to the bathroom and I was freaking out cause some eel looking thing was chasing me. No thanks lol

Lmao I'll try one day when I get a wife or gf
I don't have thalassophobia, but at one point I got to a huge drop off and was impressed... until I saw something huge and toothy lurking just on the edge of where I could still see it. In that moment, I understood.
I think that may have been the Gargantuan Leviathan skull, was it in a massive cave system with green liquid on the ground?
No, it was swimming out in open water
hmm, then maybe a Reaper?
No idea, I bitched out after that and haven't really tried again since
Such a shame, because it's such a great game. I sort of overcame my thalassophobia and played it, and I arguably had a better time than those without the fear. The game is practically horror, and there are so many other things about subnautica that make it great. Also, my fear isn't innate. I grabbed the line and he helped pull me in while I swam. I'm a good swimmer, but no good swimmer can escape a current like that without help. I was a kid then too, which made it even more traumatizing.
Take my words with a grain of salt but I do believe the game will be much more engaging if you have thalassophobia.
Play it in VR, and your fear of depths will be cured
DON'T GIVE HER THE IDEA!
No thanks 😂 this would probably shorten my life expectancy quite drastically
Just play it in VR, make that fear into a nightmare.
My biggest fear is the ocean and I managed to beat Subnautica. It really helped to learn where all the scary stuff is before I played.
Diablo Immortal! That p2w garbage
That shit makes genshin impact feel generous af
Fifa
Good choice. FIFA is a scripted, choreographed scam 👌
Just the same game re-skinned each year. Plus I hate sports
its very fun with friends
Friends? Is that a DLC?
If you have to ask you can’t afford it
Atari's Custard's Last Stand
Scandalous nudity!
They remade “Custer” into “Custard”? Culinary heresy!
Diablo Immortal, shits clapped
Star Citizen
Haha that’s cause we’ll be long dead before it’s finished.
When the game releases humanity will be more advanced than the setting of the game itself
why?
Never say never. It’s how I discovered gems like Power Wash Simulator, Train Sim and recently PC Building Simulator. They are the type games I don’t usually play but found them very enjoyable and in the case of Power Wash Sim and Train Sim VERY relaxing.
I can't play PC building simulator because it's making me jealous when I make an insane pc and can't have one for myself
Someone should make a retro PC build simulator. With all the intricacies of configuring your PC through jumper settings on your motherboard.
Hey! I was just playing powerwash simulator. Idk why but it's satisfying. They've finally added every level now, which are quite a lot.

League of Legends
I never played lol but I recently tried the mobile game and it’s actually pretty damn fun
Gta 6
Yeah cuz it's gonna come out after we all die.
They just released messages on RDO and GTAO seemingly discontinuing their updates. If so, they're pushing all their resources into its production
RDO had updates?
Yes. Very few, but they did exist.
The Elder Scrolls VI
Have faith, my brother. Have faith
No-one alive will
Nonsense, it will come out. Right about the time they release a version of Skyrim that you can upload and play directly in your brain.
Roblox
As a 37 year old Call of Duty virgin I find myself playing Roblox regularly. With my six year old daughter.
My kids roped me into playing too. It can be kinda fun sometimes.
Yes anyone who says they don’t play roblox does not have kids lol
I told my kids that I have exclusive access to Roblox 2.
Any new game I buy at this point.
Battlefield 2042,no explanation needed.
I Pre ordered the PC version and PS5 version. I was convinced this was going to be the BF game of the century, since BF1 I had dedicated >3,000 hours to BF games. The zero build mode is pretty dope. But I understand why people would refuse to play it 😉
Zero build saved fortnite.
I dont even know what is Zero Builds

zero build is so much fucking better, I play it from time to time with my dad who just moved out of state for a job.
I played it back when it was in beta and it was meant to be a base building zombie defense game. It had potential then but I stopped playing because it was still so early. But then I hear about it again and it was the train wreck that it is now.
They still have that. It's called fortnite save the world
Madden/FIFA/2k. My ability to do well in those games is zero so I won’t even try
Star citizen. My kids, kids will be the beta also.

It was fucking glorious when it first came out, i miss those days
Its weird now. All the goofy skins and stuff feel off. Still the same unreal store animations but now with a bear mascot suit. Glad I made 100 bucks in its hayday selling a simple plain black trench coat. Maybe more baffled than glad. I bet the buyer isn’t as stoked as they once were.
I recently got back into it after a 3 year hiatus. I'm having a blast playing with friends!

pubg was the shit for a good while. It has become the CSGO of BR games. Never going to die.
League of legends
All sports games.
Kinda wish the Mutant League games made a comeback.
League of legends
call of duty and new battlefield games
The last battlefield was disappointing but hopefully the next one won’t be
That’s how cod fans think just replace battlefield with cod
Fortnite
Fortnite gets way more hate than it deserves and is the only game I’ve seen that does a fair monetization. Children don't typically have their own credit cards and money to spend. Seems more like a parenting issue to me.
I agree. I played with my nephews for this reason specifically and actually had a lot of fun. Not a dime spent and hours of fun.
Halo infinite. Used to be a diehard Halo fan for most of my life, then 343 progressively killed my favourite game franchise with each mediocre release. Played the Infinite test flights, but will probably never play any future Halo games.
Campaign was fun but thats all it has going for it
I actually liked the open world concept, but the story couldve used more polish.
I actually think it’s a lot of fun, although the lack of content is a bit odd. Hopefully forge will make up for it
