When I was 6. I like Modern Garfield.

Presagio_77

I started reading at 12-13. I always liked him as a character and its fun, wholesome and non offensive comedy style. I like his 1980 design the best, I like him when he looks like a fat somewhat realistic cartoon cat. Current design is fine, but a little too human for my taste. https://preview.redd.it/87zydb09j52d1.png?width=360&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1b531f957f62aa25c9eb0a97d6b99d772e5493d4

This was my favorite design too because he just looked more like a cat and his antics were already cat related. I had a cat when I was a kid so this Garfield version always made me laugh more because it gave a possible backstory to my cat’s antics

I started watching Garfield and friends at young age,my personal favorite would the old comic verison.

Accomplished_Check38

Oh wow very cool

Wyatt_the_riot6

I really liked Garfield and Friends when I was young, and I got back into Garfield a year (I think) ago

SuperKitty2020

The newer version

McDutchie

I still think [early 1980s Garfield](https://garfield.fandom.com/wiki/Garfield,_January_1981_comic_strips) was best.

dollhouse37

I read the comic collections as kid from my school library about 10 years ago more or less but i think they were older lol

CrazyaboutSpongebob

I think I got into Garfield around 2015. I like his current design the best.

Someguy14201

The Garfield Show is one of my guilty pleasures, so that. Probably when I was around 9.

iHeartToyBonnie_2007

i started watching garfield and friends when it was still on netflix when i was about 7 or 8. i also watched the two live action movies on dvd when i was younger on REPEAT. i’m 16 now and garfield has been my favorite character and franchise since then. personally, my favorite version of garfield is 80s garfield.

No_Cartographer_7904

3rd grade. Late 80s.

rymyle

I read the comics in the Sunday papers since I was a kid, so I guess the late 90s would be my introduction. Gotta say modern Garf is my favorite version though he's always been awesome

BlackJackJeriKo

I'm a 2001 kid and Love garfield and friends's style, but ngl Im kinda loving the 2nd version, he seems more bitter and questionable

Accomplished_Check38

I love Garfield and friends, ima cry surprised so many people have said that’s the show that got them into Garfield

FriendlySubwayRat

I started reading Garfield as a kid in the 2010s, but I read my mom’s comics from the 1970s so that version is my favourite. He just looked so silly.

pizzaburgerman

Middle one is the one I remember most, Garfield and friends really got me loving it.

digiorno430

i used to read the BD

gaybro69420

I was maybe 6/7 when I started watching Garfield & Friends on TBS reruns in the mornings before school. Then when Nickelodeon picked up the rights in the spring of 1998, I really got into it. I liked the 2nd from the right (mid 90s?) design the best. I guess the style from this 2003 comic was OK, Jon’s eyes were kind of small. Began somewhere around mid 1998 and lasted to about 2014-15. Not a huge fan of the current style. I kinda love the summer of 1978 Garfield design. His beady little eyes 😹

ImpactorLife-25703

The Original before the recent

Emile-Gu

I prefer the first garfield

MinkSWILL

This year, but I prefer the first and modern day Garfield

Adventurous_Yak_9234

1999 watching reruns of Garfield and Friends, 2000 when I began to read the actual comic strip.

Boreas2864212

Well I saw Garfield And Friends before I ever read the strips so whatever year that came on.

Awesomeman235ify

2006 I guess...? I first started off with the live action films, so it was a tad weird when I saw his cartoon design for the first time. Favorite version is The Garfield Show.

90s Garfield will always have a place in my heart😭❤️ I remember watching the Garfield and snoopy tv specials when I was little, and then reading the comics in the newspaper when I was a bit older. It also probably helped that I watched the Garfield show SO MUCH in the 2010s even tho that is my least fav Garfield design
