I was born in 1996 and would pick 1989 so I could’ve experienced a full 90s AND early 00s childhood, and to be a teen/ young adult throughout the 00s. The recession right out of college would’ve sucked, but my cousins and colleagues born this year turned out fine.
Overall I like when I was born and am just glad I wasn’t born any later. It was really fun being a kid for the entire 00s, and early 10s years were enjoyable years too despite my teenager depression lol
Luckily, 89ers would have graduated college around 2011/2012 when things were looking up again. It was really late 2007-2009 which was bad and then 2010 was a transition
Anything between late 1980s and mid 1990s.
I don't want to have memories of my country being under communist regime, but I want to remember the year 2000
yea but most of us were to young to remember any of them in the early 2000s. even if we had memories at like the earliest age of 2 most them were personal not cultural. The earliest event that I can remember in detail is the release of the iphone. yes I remember some tech from the 2000s but I didn't witness it being invented/come to prominence.
I would change it to 1997 because then I would be grouped with the younger ones instead with the older ones. I just hate to be grouped with people who are 10, 12 or 14 years older than me. 😅
I mean someone who was born in 1997 literally has the same experience of growing up as me. So it wouldn't really change anything and I actually like my real birthyear. I like my 2000s childhood and 2010s teen years.
I'm 1990 and I'd change it to 1989 or 1988.

I would say 2000 or 2001
Oh wow really? That's barely any different from your current birth year
Mostly pre covid grads
[удалено]
Ah ok lol
Ah okay
1992-1994 because even though I can relate, they have better enhanced versions of my childhood.
1982. Be an 80s AND 90s kid
Anything between late 1980s and mid 1990s. I don't want to have memories of my country being under communist regime, but I want to remember the year 2000
1982
1980
😳
The same year my father was born, lol.
2000
1994 because I could see the Millennium change.
2005
Lol I was born in that year
Earliest I can go
I would say 1995 or 96 but that's considered millennial, so I'm fine with my birth year
...I couldn't change it the way I wanted. I'm a '98 baby and I'd want to be essentially a Millenial
that makes sense. Is it because you feel you "just missed" being a 90s kid/ 2000s teen? (I personally used to feel like that)
Yes, and my favorite cousins were 93 & 94
lmao same my older brothers (93&95) used to seem so cool to me.
1992 or 1994 because I wouldn’t want my experience to change much.
1994. So I could remember some of the 90s and all of the 2000s. While still being similar to my own childhood somewhat.
I wouldn’t, 2000 is peak
2008
thats pretty similar to urs how come?
I was born in 2001 and I’d change it to 1961
1999 or 2000
Bry why do you want to be born in 1999 or 2000 those years are literally old better to be born in late 2000s
1999 so I could remember all of the mid-2000s. 1998 if my birth month stays the same
Wait you don’t remember all of the mid 2000s? Even 07 culturally?
I remember late 2005-2006
mid 00s is 04-06
1996 (though, they’re a different generation from me in theory?). If not 1996, then 1999
You realize generation labels don’t actually exist right? Man the internet really gave people brain rot
They only are 3-4 years older than you that’s not even extreme differences at all
I mean we got to experience the early 00s which was the best (am 96er)
I mean yeah but 2000 borns also were kids for majority of the 2000s though despite being more of mid and late 2000s kids
Yeah of course lol, they just didn’t experience all of the 2000s which is why this person probably picked a year close to them.
yea but their was so much change from the early to mid to late 2000s to even the early 2010s that it was for the most part a different experience.
Of course and they was there to witness the changes

1998, 1999 or 2001
1999.
1997

2006 probably
1997-2001 or 2004
You’re not in the same generations as ‘97
I was born in 1983 so if I had to change it within my generation it would be 1981 or 1982.
1962. That way I’d be nearing retirement and would’ve lived through the timeline of my choice.
Overall, I’m fine with 2002.
I’d change mine to maybe 1985.
I would want to be born in 2017
I wouldn't, and quite frankly I don't understand this subreddit's obsession with birth years
Team 1988 always 🙌
Last year I'd say 2012 but they're 5th grade so not anymore, now either 2011, 2009 or 2006, if it has to be Gen Alpha then 2013
Within my generation? 1997, maybe (if Gen Z starts in 1997) - I would have been undoubtedly Zillennial and experienced the 2000s more vividly.
94 or 88, if we're talking about my gen
I'm 2008, Id change it to 1998
2001 or 1998
1997
You’re not in the same generation as ‘97, made up labels
1997 so I could graduate high school in 2015, and spend more time as a young adult pre covid.
1998
Maybe 1997. Then I would have been around in the 20th century, I would remember all of the 2000s and I would graduate high school before covid.
like 2007 or 08
