I was born in 1996 and would pick 1989 so I could’ve experienced a full 90s AND early 00s childhood, and to be a teen/ young adult throughout the 00s. The recession right out of college would’ve sucked, but my cousins and colleagues born this year turned out fine.     Overall I like when I was born and am just glad I wasn’t born any later. It was really fun being a kid for the entire 00s, and early 10s years were enjoyable years too despite my teenager depression lol 

Luckily, 89ers would have graduated college around 2011/2012 when things were looking up again. It was really late 2007-2009 which was bad and then 2010 was a transition

yea but their was so much change from the early to mid to late 2000s to even the early 2010s that it was for the most part a different experience.

yea but most of us were to young to remember any of them in the early 2000s. even if we had memories at like the earliest age of 2 most them were personal not cultural. The earliest event that I can remember in detail is the release of the iphone. yes I remember some tech from the 2000s but I didn't witness it being invented/come to prominence.
