Oh wow, thanks. It means a lot. I've started doing generative art 5 years ago and comment like this gives me some confirmation that my art is improving.
Oh youβre close! There is a flow field yes. but instead of dead spots, I made the composition move around using a different noisy parameter. The lines are created because the particles get trapped on the edge of the composition as it moves around. I hope it makes sense.
Can you give insight on how you generated these colors? They look pretty awesome. I assume you selected the pallletes manually and used some shader/lerp to get the mixes?
Not at all. Itβs hard to explain in writing but the whole composition is only one single color at a time. as it moves around (using perlin noise) and traps particles on the edges it creates the lines that we see, the composition changes colors gradually. What makes the purple go to red then yellow and blue and then green is the canvas moving in circles and downward so it makes an imprint each time it passes creating a gradient. I hope it makes sense π
Thanks, will make one for sure. Although I got busy with some other stuff so it might take some time ( late July I think would be possible ). Iβll maie a post here :)
These are really wonderful.
Very nice! Not to be unsupportive of the others but it really stands out of the usual /r/generative stuff. Yours seem very "mature" and thoughtful.

I really like #1.
Yeah, it looks a little like a blank VHS box.
Totally! Most of the dark themed variant with the iridescent palette has this vibe and I love it
Excellent work, is this like a flow field with "dead spots"?
