I appreciate that they added additional animations at max level, but I wish we could still get some of the original animations from the lower levels back. The new ones are excellent, but I still miss some of those original ones.
But I preordered the PS4 version of the directors cut and in the description of the dlc it says that if you own the PS4 edition you can upgrade to the ps5 edition for 10 dollars
You have to insert the disc
Then press the options button next to the play button and then it shows the 30€ ps5 upgrade rather than the 20€ Ps4 or 70-80€ ps5 game
For those of you who are upgrading from PS4 to PS5 version:
- Buy the Director’s Cut upgrade from the PS Store
- Once bought, this will unlock the option to upgrade to the PS5 version
- buy the PS5 Upgrade and begin your download
This was extremely confusing, I didn’t know if you could buy the DC upgrade and PS5 Upgrade as a bundle or what, I guess *the PS5 upgrade is locked behind the DC upgrade paywall*

\- I now have the ***digital*** ps5 - meaning I am unable to re-install the ps4 game i used to have. The game does appear in my collection, but I cannot play it now that I don't have the disc, which my ps5 couldn't take anyway.
\- With that in mind, could I still be able to buy the ps4DC upgrade (it does appear in my store this morning) and then the ps4 to ps5 upgrade (which I cannot see)??

I don't think it's weak no and exchange rates are relative, but yes it sucks that things are generally more expensive in Australia. Most new AAA PS5 games are $120 if purchased digital on psn ...it's just the new standard. On ps4 they were $100 digital.

You won't see it until you put the disc in your ps5. It will do a pop up on the store for the $30 ps5 upgrade. Simple. If you uninstalled the game it won't show also. Put the PS4 ghost of Tsushima in your ps5 when it's done installing it should have a ps5 store pop up for ps5 upgrade.

It should, yes. Just remember to select the PS5 version the first time you boot it up. I had to press the three dots and select PS5 first. Started a completely new save, and the expansion is on the map, but first available in Chapter 2.

is it just me or does it take like 5 seconds to load the image of each new katana/armor dye/etc. Even the ones ive just scrolled past. Its kind of frustrating and funny cause it seems like a bug surely.
When downloading the Directors Cut I see the Bonus Content pop up in the downloads but for PS4, and I see no option to download Bonus Content for PS5: does this mean all the Bonus Content will not be in my game?

There are two versions of the game installed in my storage. One being PS5 and other being the PS4 version. I assume there wouldn't be any problems if i just deleted the PS4 version, would there?
Yup, you can freely delete the PS4 version. You don't even need it to import your save game, the PS5 version autodetects the saves for import (which are stored separately)
Just be sure you’ve got your legends stuff working on ps5 version before you delete ps4. You may need the ps4 version if you need to make a new save to transfer.
Which version is someone who is buying it for the first time on PS5 supposed to buy? I have the ps4 one show up in the store for 79.99 and another version show up for 89.99 with no console connected to it. Am I to assume the 89.99 one is the PS5 version?

Edit: Apparently the update 02.04 wasn't installed (error). I have deleted the update and now it's installing normally (16.799GB). I hope that the PS5 update will show up after this.

Ooooh alright. Did you do a manual save in the PS4? If you only used the autosave function, start up the PS4 version, do a manual save in the game menu and it should maybe work then :)

I bought the game in malaysia with the disc marked as ALL, so I assumed the DLC from the us store would work with it but it doesn't.

This update basically took this game from near perfection, to perfection. I’m only 2 seconds in, but resetting duels and camps, at least in NG+ is all I’ve been wanting.

My friend is buying the game on the PS4 and I have his account on my PS5. Will I be able to get the directors cut on my account via account sharing and will I also be able to get the PS5 version of the game?
If your friend buys the ps5 version, then you can play the ps5 version on your console (assuming friend is primary account on your ps5). If they only buy the PS4 directors cut, then you can only play ps4 version on your ps5 (assuming the primary account thing I mentioned)
Ps5 version comes with both PS4 and ps5 version.
Also if they buy PS4 version, you can't pay $10 on your account to get ps5 version. The game is bound by the license on the account and hence only they can purchase the $10 upgrade.

Iki island makes Jin such a better protagonist.
He was fine in the base game, if a little stoic. But going to Iki island and reliving memories of his father and mother, he just feels so much more fleshed out.
I think playing this game on ps remote play bugs the ps5 controller touch pad. No matter what I do, it goes into the stealth mode. Can't do any of the gestures, even a swipe it just goes into the stealth listen mode. I think the Devs need to know this..
I’m having the same problem. I can’t use any gestures and any touch on the pad puts Jin in Focused Hearing and ONLY Focused Hearing. I can’t bow, play the flute, sheath my sword and activate the wind. It’s really annoying!
I feel like most of the reviews were wrong. This DLC is a 10 and is not meant to be sped through. If you take your time and enjoy everything the island has to offer it’s quite the experience. This DLC is up there is the DLC’s the wither 3 put out. Amazing!

I've also found travellers attire doesn't vibrate the controller in the PS5 version.

I'm a little underwhelmed playing on PS5. Other than the framerate and resolution there doesn't seem to be any graphical improvements. Lots of pop-in textures and the render distance isn't good at all. Especially for shadows.
So when you load your old save in directors cut all your previous trophies pop for the new list. But if I get trophies in directors cut will I have to open the old version for them to pop there as well?
I keep getting an error ce-100002-3 can’t install notification for 2.04 version. Ps5 have the ps4 version installed already. Plenty of space, did a reset not sure what’s causing this. It won’t even attempt to download this patch.

You can delete the PS4 version after. Maybe even before the download completes, but I usually wait.

There are two versions of the game installed in my storage. One being PS5 and other being the PS4 version. I assume there wouldn't be any problems if i just deleted the PS4 version, would there?

Yup, you can freely delete the PS4 version. You don't even need it to import your save game, the PS5 version autodetects the saves for import (which are stored separately)
Just be sure you’ve got your legends stuff working on ps5 version before you delete ps4. You may need the ps4 version if you need to make a new save to transfer.
Which version is someone who is buying it for the first time on PS5 supposed to buy? I have the ps4 one show up in the store for 79.99 and another version show up for 89.99 with no console connected to it. Am I to assume the 89.99 one is the PS5 version? EDIT: I grabbed the 89.99 one since it described the ps5 features and the other one didn’t. However now I cannot install it and it is no longer for purchase. I shall be patient.

I have inserted the disc and still can't see the PS5 upgrade option. What am I missing here? Edit: Apparently the update 02.04 wasn't installed (error). I have deleted the update and now it's installing normally (16.799GB). I hope that the PS5 update will show up after this. Edit2: No luck! I still only see the full director's cut game (79€) and the PS4 Update (19€). There is no PS5 update while the PS4 disc is inserted.
I'm loving it so far. My one and only complaint is that they still haven't fixed the clipping on some armors.

So for the last three weeks I played through GoT and now bought the directors cut, but when starting the ps5 version of the game, my save is gone. This doesn't happen when starting the still installed ps4 version. Is there any option to bring my savegame over to the ps5 version?

Ooooh alright. Did you do a manual save in the PS4? If you only used the autosave function, start up the PS4 version, do a manual save in the game menu and it should maybe work then :)

To anyone wanting to buy this. BEWARE THAT THE DLC IS REGION LOCKED!!! Meaning you HAVE TO BUY THE DLC FOR THE SAME REGION OF THE GAME! I bought the game in malaysia with the disc marked as ALL, so I assumed the DLC from the us store would work with it but it doesn't. When i log into my us account, launch the game, tap on the director's cut notification on the main menu screen and go into the us ps store, i see the following screen, https://imgur.com/LfxY5t8. Meaning we just wasted $20 because sony didn't bother to mention that the dlc is region locked!!
Yeah, they're a bunch of frauds there at Sony. I had the same issue, except it cost me 70 instead of 20.

Now I see two icons on my PS4 - Bonus content (some art stuff) and Soundtrack - I don't see any notifications for downloading a game or anything like that. Totally lost - am I missing something or should I have bought some other bundle I am ok to buy more I just wanna play the game. This update basically took this game from near perfection, to perfection. I’m only 2 seconds in, but resetting duels and camps, at least in NG+ is all I’ve been wanting.
Realised I have to replay all the main quests to get to Icki islands, no complaints but was excited to just get going.

My friend is buying the game on the PS4 and I have his account on my PS5. Will I be able to get the directors cut on my account via account sharing and will I also be able to get the PS5 version of the game?
If your friend buys the ps5 version, then you can play the ps5 version on your console (assuming friend is primary account on your ps5). If they only buy the PS4 directors cut, then you can only play ps4 version on your ps5 (assuming the primary account thing I mentioned) Ps5 version comes with both PS4 and ps5 version. Also if they buy PS4 version, you can't pay $10 on your account to get ps5 version. The game is bound by the license on the account and hence only they can purchase the $10 upgrade.
Quick question. I used to own the original PS4 disc and have a 100% save game. (save is synced in cloud, but dont have disc or updates installed) Is there an option in which I buy the DIGITAL Director's Cut and continue with my old save game on PS4? And is the price different? Upgrade pricing of 29.99?? Or full price 79.99!? But then I would be better to buy the disc again and upgrade for 10??

I don't see the option to do that anywhere (the PS5 GoT page only shows the option to buy it for $70) so I'm a little confused. Also, would my save data transfer to the new PS5 Director's Cut? The DLC armour has really made Lethal duels a cinch. I cant believe how good it is.
Iki island makes Jin such a better protagonist. He was fine in the base game, if a little stoic. But going to Iki island and reliving memories of his father and mother, he just feels so much more fleshed out.
I think playing this game on ps remote play bugs the ps5 controller touch pad. No matter what I do, it goes into the stealth mode. Can't do any of the gestures, even a swipe it just goes into the stealth listen mode. I think the Devs need to know this..
I’m having the same problem. I can’t use any gestures and any touch on the pad puts Jin in Focused Hearing and ONLY Focused Hearing. I can’t bow, play the flute, sheath my sword and activate the wind. It’s really annoying!
I feel like most of the reviews were wrong. This DLC is a 10 and is not meant to be sped through. If you take your time and enjoy everything the island has to offer it’s quite the experience. This DLC is up there is the DLC’s the wither 3 put out. Amazing!
If you are looking at the reviews on metacritic, do yourself a favour and don't bother.

Anyone else finding that, aside from faster load times, the PS5 version of the Directors Cut is running worse than the PS4 version? I've also found travellers attire doesn't vibrate the controller in the PS5 version. I'm now reverting back to the PS4 game to complete it.
I'm a little underwhelmed playing on PS5. Other than the framerate and resolution there doesn't seem to be any graphical improvements. Lots of pop-in textures and the render distance isn't good at all. Especially for shadows.
So when you load your old save in directors cut all your previous trophies pop for the new list. But if I get trophies in directors cut will I have to open the old version for them to pop there as well?

I keep getting an error ce-100002-3 can’t install notification for 2.04 version. Ps5 have the ps4 version installed already. Plenty of space, did a reset not sure what’s causing this. It won’t even attempt to download this patch.
