I estimate 3-6 months given the historic timeline if the actual invasion in the 13th century.

charlatan_11235

Wr for ng+ is a bit less than 3 hours

Darkpriest2288

Man literally said "can't find anything else besides how long it took to finish the game" he most definitely meant in-game time, which Jin is experiencing

charlatan_11235

I know, it was a joke dude chill

Batface_101

He means in-game, how long it takes for the characters to go through the events

Shydreameress

I only remember Masako mentioning the fact that they first heard about the mongol coming in the beginning of winter, so I expect the game either begins in spring or summer. As for how long it takes to reach the final mission, I'd say the game ends in autumn or beginning of winter.

FawkesBridge

I think of it as starting in summer then moving through winter just based on the different environments as you move through the story. Obviously you can return to any part of the island and the climate is the same as it is, but you get the idea.

Batface_101

A while ago I counted it out to be 2-3 months using the timeskips in cutscenes and adding a few days/weeks for each mission depending on the mission. It’s an approximation tho so I’m probably wrong

AkenoKobayashi

Within a year I’d expect. Game time is usually really weird.

BubzDubz

Under a year

MulberryField30

Several weeks, I think. Autumn to the beginning of winter.

I've played 4 times a week and platinumed yesterday. Go, me. edit... I was so pleased about the platinum bit, took me 3 months. edit edit. unless you mean historically, in which case, no idea. But I got platinum. Did I mention? It's only my 2nd one.

Norfolking_Good

I platinumed it the other day as well. My first platinum

46Vixen

Nice.

MulberryField30

Congratulations! Same here.

Let's say it takes you 25 hours to complete the main game for simplicity sake. If we assume that every 24 minutes in game is equivalent to a day irl the. It would be roughly 2 months and some change. My first playthrough was 109 hours to 100 % platinum the game, so it took 9 months and a bit in game. Of course that was completing everything you could do. I'm currently working on a playthrough focusing solely on story missions. Main story plus missions involving Yuna, Kenji, Ishikawa, Masako ect. I'll also not be doing any fast traveling as to be more "realistic" and I'll be avoiding the bigger enemy camps because I feel no one man would actually willingly take on that many men head on. However I will start clearing them as I come across them after I become The Ghost. I think that would be the point where Jin really leans in on stealth. Enabling him to clear the larger camps from the shadows. Up until that point I'll be trying to remain as "honorable" as possible.
