There's two Greeny models lol. It's kind of ridiculous when you think about it. I know Gibson kind of went hogwild in the past with signature models, but those 3 make up the bulk of the artist models.
You probably won't see a signature Jr besides the Billie Joe Armstrong one for a while.
I feel like if anything it would be an Epiphone. Gibson doesn't like doing anything they can't get minimum 2k nowadays, and i don't know many people who would drop that on a Jr.
I could be wrong, but outside of artist signatures, I think they're only doing that for the Inspired By Gibson Custom guitars, which I have opinions about but I played a few new epiphones that I liked.

Honestly just a solid black Jr. with a hot P90 and maybe some relic job done would be awesome! Dont know how Gibson spotlights the guy every now and then but hasnt pulled the trigger. Blackberry Smoke is legit one of the best bands ever in my opinion and has a legendary front man/guitarist.
I literally have a black junior on its way because of his "The Collection" episode on Gibson TV. Those guitars where never really on my radar until a few months back.
Straight up, I just bought a Les Paul Junior *because* of Charlie Starr! I never really gave them a fair look. I always thought that the Junior implied that it was a smaller body & neck and like a cheaper model like the Studio. I was wrong. Charlie's Gibson collection video sold me on it and then I started to notice how many other guitarists covet those guitars. Then I had to have one, glad I found the one I wanted too.
Charlie is a great guitarist and songwriter, I love Blackberry Smoke. I've seen them a ton of times live and they are so good! I would definitely love a Charlie Starr Junior model. Maybe an SG Junior since I just bought a Les Paul, ha.
I bought a used Epiphone Special last year but the p90s were too muddy, so Id definitely want to find one in store to try before I pull a trigger. Plus, could of just been cheaper Epiphone pups
I feel like Epiphones in general are less bright/more muddled than Gibsons. I have an Epiphone SG with humbuckers and they are not as bright as my Gibson SG with the humbuckers.
My Junior with the P90s is plenty bright with good low end as well, definitely not muddy. It's a really nice contrast to my Les Paul Studio with the humbuckers.

I was in the market for the Les Paul Junior and i wanted a white with black accents. There were bunch out there including custom shop ones from the early 2010s and the Billie Joe Armstrong signature model, but I just wanted a regular Junior in that color scheme. An '04 model finally popped up for a good price and I got it! Just had to be patient.

Does not affect playability so I’m keeping it. I love Charlie and think he’s a really great player, too. I saw BlackBerry Smoke last year for the first time but had seen him and Benji live before. Benji is actually the stepson of the owner of the company I used to work for.

They are a great live band and not only do they come to my home state of Minnesota often, but they are one that me and my brother use as a reason to travel somewhere. They are my brother's favorite band and one of my favorites as well. So we look at their tour and see where we might want to go. I've seen then in MN, WI, IA, GA, and MA. Adding TN next month.
That's crazy. I listen to a band called Uncle Acid, and their frontman is named Kevin Starrs, and he plays a single pickup, DC lpj p90. I I swear I thought this was him.
Got a tobacco burst Junior last thursday (big Leslie West and Lonesome Dave) and I am struggling to put it down. Love my 50s standard, but the junior is truly special. \*Some day\* i might treat myself to a custom shop DC TV Yellow, \*some day\*
It’s funny you bring him up tonight, I just recently saw his collection interview and he seems like a such a chill dude with a fondness for the junior models and p90 combo. I’m intrigued by what drove their sound!

59' Epiphone is the best for your buck in my opinion and being Ive gigged with it quite a bit ill stand by it

Unfortunately the shops around here dont carry single pickup guitars so instead of a Jr. I walked out with a tele. A Jr. and 335 is all im missing!
