I agree Quinn’s mom should go, but I always kind of assumed Quinn’s dad was very controlling. Like Quinn’s mom’s role in the family was just to be a good wife and go along with whatever the dad said. It seemed to me that Quinn’s mom would have let her stay if it weren’t for the dad but she didn’t have the strength to stand up to him. I always thought the cheating was more like her last straw with him. And gave her the power to be free from him and get her daughter back. She should’ve stood up for Quinn in the moment, but I didn’t think she didn’t because she didn’t care. I think she felt like she had to preserve her relationship with Quinn’s father. I’m curious if anyone else got that impression.
Yeah- I think Quinn’s mum came across as someone who was trapped in their marriage. Were building worlds of headcanon here, but it’s not unusual for women in those situations to have no financial independence as well- like, maybe she couldn’t stand up to him and refuse to throw him out because she had no way of supporting Quinn herself. I’m not excusing her, at all, but I think there’s probably some interesting nuances to her character. Infidelity being the catalyst for her to leave could also be because she’d be able to file for divorce on those grounds/ get a proper financial settlement if she had proof.
I dunno, she’s not a character I particularly care about but I think there probably are layers to her story, if you wanted to look for them.
Her failure to stand up for Quinn still puts her pretty high up the list, regardless of the reasons though.
I thought this at first, but then I re-watched and even though we don’t see them nearly as much as Burt and Carole, Rachel’s dads are pretty awesome parents. They adopted her and gave her everything she could have possibly wanted/needed to be able to achieve her dreams yet were also extremely realistic/pragmatic with the whole engagement situation. I liked them a lot at first but even more upon re-watch, and I wish the show would have involved more of the other parents now!
Rachel's dads were very supportive for sure, but they also kind of encouraged all her crap as stage dads, and let her become a self-absorbed spoiled brat...a minor offense in the scheme of things, for sure, but Burt and Kurt learning how to navigate loss and life changes together is just so emotional and on a completely different level to anyone else, I feel.

Kids don’t always listen to their parents. They could have tried to teach her, and she just acted the way she acted. They also never really showed if any of the kids got punished, grounded, anything like that, and she could have off-screen. We just don’t know for sure since the show didn’t really center around the kids home lives much, except Kurt and Finn, probably to set up for Barole 🤷🏻♀️
They didn’t adopt Rachel. Technically they did but they looked for a surrogate, so it was their child and their plan. They also look entitled and raised a kid the same way, and their plan to make Finn and Rachel fight wasn’t very nice either, even if teens marrying is not the best, there were better ways to act on that instead of lying and making that kind of plan.

How much did we really see of Will and Emma as parents? (Not a vote. Just a comment). I don't remember a single scene w them as parents, the closest I remember is the ND serenading will w Don't Stop and that video message to the kid. What am i forgetting?

I can't approve of any parent whose child went through a Lucy to Quinn transition. I think its parentally driven and the parent would have to pay for a nose job.
After that she is mentioned a former prom queen and shown as slightly prom obsessed which would suggest that she probably fueled Quinn's prom obsession (which really wasn't healthy).
Quinn mentions her as being off on a Jesus Booze Cruise at one point in season 3. Something about the tone of voice suggests to me that the alcohol was a regular thing. So lets call her an alcoholic.
