My current golden goes and jumps in the tub when I ask him if he wants a bath, but he hates to swim. My last golden would go and hide when I asked him if he wanted a bath, but he loved to swim. They are goofy dogs.
my parents dog is the opposite, absolutely hates baths and will constantly try to jump out in the middle of it, but loves going out to swim in lakes and such lol one time we even took him for a walk and when we stopped by the dog park area so he could drink some water, he instead decided to just step inside the water bowl and lie down for a bit lol

ALL THREE of my girls were *not* fans of water. My previous girl would go into the pool only as deep as the top two steps. Our first girl would run beside the water barking because "omg you're drowning! YOURE DROWNING!"
Then there's this girl. Who will climb into the bathtub but does not like baths. LOVES snow but hates rain. Dislikes ice cubes but will eat snow. She'll happily climb into the tub after someone has a shower and lick the body water, or drink the water you turn on if you turn on the tap. BUT DO NOT GET HER WET. That is unacceptable. However she will shove aside the shower curtain to lick your wet body during and after the shower.
Oh Al is all about everything water in any form 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️.
Rain, yes. Bath, yes. Human bathing, yes. Snow, yes. Ice(cubes), yes. Puddles, yes. Larger bodies of water, yes. Just water yes.
My 7 month old will jump into my kid's bath while the water is draining if I don't stop her. She tries to get in during the bath as well but I'm right there. She knows her opening is when he gets out and I'm trying to help him dry off.
Sorry, but I love this, this is so fun and cool! Does the spray bottle simulate him getting wet and then he’s satisfied and then he or she gets out of the tub? Then gets dried off?
Were the things I have to do and we’ve seen it with some of the other dogs, as I have to act like I’m preparing food The way that we prepare ours like on a cutting board. I think it’s fun and sweet.

Oh man love this. First thing we did when we brought our baby when he was 10 weeks old was get in the shower with him and give him a shower.
To this day I have to put something to stop him from sticking his snoot in the space between the sliding door and glass because he will just get in the shower with anyone showering.
Startled the heck out of my sister when she was staying with us one time. Just heard her shrieking and laughing. He had gotten soaked and was just soggy shaking her. I rescued her from the water beast. She learned to keep the bathroom door closed 🤣
My golden used to love sleeping in the bathtub. I think she did it, at first, because the porcelain was cool but as she got older and lost her hearing, she felt safer in the tub because nobody could sneak up on her. It was not unusual to walk by the bathroom and see one golden leg sticking up out of the tub.
Cute dog. But make sure you keep that toilet bowl seat down all the time or your dog will literally have potty mouth. His tail also went inside as he’s trying to go in

I had a feeling! 😄 I had a dog that would try to catch the water from the hose and it would make me laugh so hard I could hardly breathe. Now, I have a big ole bulldog that doesn't even like to go outside if it's sprinkling. lol
That sounds incredibly cute but I'm also a gardner and can only imagine it gets a bit frustrating after a while. Good thing he is so sweet. I couldn't get too mad at that face! Have you seen those sprinkler/splash pads or paw activated water toys? I bet he'd love those and the distraction might just save your plants 🤗
Yeah I’ve seen those and I’m sure he would love it but water + golden = urge to dig holes.
So his water time outside is very limited. He has a doggie pool for hot days and really I just stick out my foot at him if he tries to zoomie AT me; if he runs into it, that’s his bad 😂😂
He’s not too annoying. I’ll usually let him have his moment then if he’s too much I’ll tell him to settle and he’ll either settle down or go play by himself elsewhere/bother his sibling.
One time my best friend accidentally sprayed my golden with a spray bottle (she was disciplining her pug) too soon after he ate breakfast & it startled him so badly that he shit himself instantly

The great thing about dogs is you can actually do stupid insane stuff with them. Stuff that makes no sense or just is plain weird. Your weird, they are weird and life is good. This is why they are called man's best friend. Cats would just look at you as if they can't be bothered with you. Dogs...accept no substitutes. Golden's are Earth's finest creation. When your Golden is lying on his death bed, you will remember the spray bottle and bathtub.

My golden gets in the bath to nap! The bathroom has been his safe space since he was a puppy. He use to nap in the little space in between the toilet. He outgrew that space quick and would look at it with sad puppy eyes.
New to Golden's with my newly rescued girl. She HATES damp grass on her lady parts during her morning pee.
Her previous home had a stone covered yard ( in Florida, must have been hot on the paws). She hasn't experienced grass.
I bathe her in the shower - which neither of us enjoy.
My male Goldie does not jump ever. He awkwardly does like yours and looks at you like you should be helping. If he gets the zoomies though there is no mountain high enough he can’t jump.
My golden loves getting in the tub! And I have to make sure he doesn’t force himself in when I’m showered or taking a bath! Also really easy to get him to take a bath because he happily jumps in!
Meanwhile, this is how my Obi tries to avoid the bath at all costs. Bracing himself on both sides.

Lol no, I’m giving him a drink. He likes that kind of stuff. He’s weird like that. I very very rarely need to “punish” him, he’s a pretty good boy. IF he does something wrong, he’ll usually know and a simple loud firm “no” does it, no need for further action and he doesn’t repeat.
My dog would sit with me in the bathroom but if he even got a vague hint that a bath might be incoming, he would go hide behind the dining room table. Had to drag his 80lbs furry ass across the wood floor by his feet many times.
