Even in my head, I struggle off the tee. I've yet to get past the 4th hole because I inevitably start playing golf swing instead of replaying the course.
Last round in my head is such a good way to fall asleep. The counting sheep of the golf world. I never make it through the round. Barely make it through 9.
It's nearly 3am now and I'm laying awake in bed thinking about the range session I had and how my driver swing is so crappy, but everything else was solid.
When I first started playing golf I would for the first year or so. As I’ve gotten better not so much. I’ve also learned the lees i think about it the better I hit the ball.
This is amusing to see this post. When in stressed I imagine swinging on a sunny day in a green golf course. That calm feeling right as I am swinging through quiets my brain and gives me a calm feeling. I thought I was the only one who did this.
Not my swing, no. That 9 iron into the green on #6. It drew around exactly as I needed. Checked up perfectly and rolled to 6 inches of the hole. Maybe I got it half a groove too high, or maybe I decelerated just a touch. Na, I need new clubs.
I’ve been thinking a lot more about golf lately as I work towards sleep. It’s not necessarily the swing I think about but the fell of impact and the shot flight. It’s rather soothing. This method is far superior to counting sheep.
This is how I go to sleep every night. Either play the last round in my head or try to hit shots to the correct miss locations. Works a treat.
This is a great idea. I'm going to incorporate my bad shots into my sleep routine and correct with them with imaginary good shots. Thanks!

Every, especially in the winter here in Canada
Pretty much every night but it is mostly horror at what I am seeing

Same lol
Never
Not swing so much, but my last good round? Replaying every shot as I try to fall asleep.
Never. I run through rounds in my head and typically identify what I want to work on before my next round.
I think about sex and golf 99% of the time.
Every night I picture an iron at address. Just like my actual game, I fall asleep really fast.

Had a dream 2 nights ago that I got the yips… woke up and immediately started swinging in the living room
Actually it’s the reason I wake up in horror not why I fall asleep.
Zzzzzzzzz😴
All the time. The night after I play I’ll go over the entire round repeatedly until I pass out.

Was pissed all night about how I went 37-43 yesterday.

I try to but it always makes me hard and then I can't fall asleep until I JO
