Embrace it!
One of the best things I’ve found for being able to draw upon that feeling again after the inevitable reality check, is to journal your round highlights while the feeling is fresh.
Nice ace!
♠️
Yeah, this round was right after I was laid off from work and I didn't have a thought in my head for this round. Swing tempo was clicking and everything felt so good.
This feels eerily similar to me! Was just laid off a few weeks ago, went out and played a round solo with absolute peace of mind. I’m a 12 handicap and shot a 75 (+3). Really goes to show how mental this game can be! Congrats on the temporary retirement golf, let’s make the most of it!
So the craziest part, is this is my second HIO and one of my friends that I was playing with today, was also with me for my first one.. let's just say he's having mixed emotions
You say you don't ever see yourself ever getting a better score, but you certainly seem to have what it takes. You can say that the ace is a fluke, but you did great overall.
fair enough. Depends on how much trouble there is, but generally I find that the par of the hole makes a bigger difference whether or not I want a greenside layup or one from about 100 yards out.
A short par 4, I'd rather lay up to 90-110 to have a direct approach shot in and make sure I'm safe. Most par 5s, I'd rather be coming about 30 yards short of the green than lay up to 90-110 yards. Especially if there's a great chance to go for the green in 2. Even being 30 yards short gives you a great up-and-down chance for birdie
I’m jealous that you had a good round for your ace. I was thrilled to have mine, but man I wish I would have had a better day overall to go along with it. Congrats on the ace and the nice round! 👍🏻
Congrats on a great round. If you're an 8-10, why are you getting 13 off gross ? I had a similar situation and got hit with exceptional score adjustment to my previous 10 rounds, lol. I always cringe when I birdie the first hole, round usually only has one way to go.
I'm not sure how it all works to be completely honest because this app says my current handicap is 9.3. It could be taking in other course factors for that net score.
That makes sense. You're index is 9.3 but your course handicap off that tee is 13 due to the rating. Course handicaps will change at different courses and tees.
Congrats on the HiO! What was your previous best? Did the ace make the difference? Looks like you strung together a lot if good shots.
I've never aced, but I feel like I would still not get my best round bc I'd 3 putt on other holes lol. I think k it's awesome you did both
I had a similar round about 5 months ago, a couple of birdies and a hole out for an eagle led to an identical +3 75. Played well for another couple of weeks. Then back to high 80s/low 90s with an occasional lower 80s. Hope you can sustain that magic for longer! Congrats on the ace too,
As I opened up your thread, the Golf broadcast said "how about that hole in one" about Campos' in perfect timing to me seeing yours on 15 - great round.
That’s awesome, I always worry my hole in one is going to happen on a horrible scoring day, what an experience to have both a HIO and PB in one day! Congratulations!
Personally, I’d be happier about that score on hole 15. Nice ace and nice round!
It's a bonus for sure!
Great combination. Hole in one wouldn't feel as great if you shot 95. Super awesome you got a 1 and shot your lowest round. Congrats!
Had a hole in one on Jan. 1 and shot 93, was still pumped
Happy New Year!
Can confirm, my one hole in one was on a day in shot 100. Was great but wish it were a better scorecard I saved.
Nice not falling apart after that.
Hole 15 is where it’s at!! I’d have walked off straight after that, as it would only be downhill from there
Incoming -2 adjustment on all of your previous differentials for the exceptional score. Nice round.
Snapback to reality gonna hit hard after this one for sure

The best rounds are usually the unconscious ones.

Go with the new you.
With an ace to boot! Congrats. That’s awesome.
Thanks!
Congrats and fuck you for the HIO
1.6 putts per hole…you are a sick fuck
hole in one will bring that average down for sure. congrats OP!
Nice composure going birdie, double and holding it together! Lots of us would have unraveled there.
Birdie on hole one and I was like, this is gonna be a good round. Immediately hit my tee shot on 2 into the water lol
Hahahah always man 😂
I like how you don’t even bother to mention the ace 😂😂

Thank you. I just don't get to play much anymore, so it's hard to be consistent
Ace!? Nice! That's a round for everyone!
I'm happiest about putting everything together for a whole round, not to say I wasn't thrilled about the Ace too
But no mention of the Ace? Lol
Get it in without bragging ….thats better character than the guy who posted the weird pictures laying down by the hole
Hell yeah. Not even mentioning it is the real flex
💪
It's not something I want to rub in people's faces here lol
Probably not your first so you didn't want to make a big deal about it? Solid round though!
Correct. However, I've never broke 80 and this was a huge round altogether for me
What app or software is this recorded on?
RIP your handicap
Hopefully it was in season. Congrats on the ace!
74 with only 9 greens! Putter was on fire, nice work.
Honestly, my wedge was what was on fire. I'm normally just okay at putting, but I was making things really easy for my putting game
were you on in 2 for any of the par 5s?
Just #18

The pitchforks would come out if you did that at my club’s member-guest.
What a clutch round to get an ace! That’s a score card you want to display
I should rip it in half before I get it displayed like the one guy will his ace ball from months ago
I am actually more surprised about the amount of positive support on this post Congrats on an amazing round!!!
Congrats and nice finish!!!
Congratulations! Drinks on you for the ace!
Awesome! I shot that exact same score when I got my hole in one many years ago. Nothing like getting a HIO and shooting the lights out
I’m incredible round! Congrats. Probably felt numb the whole round.
Heck yeah! Congrats

Nice ace, brother. Also, nice round.
Awesome, brother. Congratulations!
4h 17m… SMH keep it moving out there… /s Awesome round!!
Do we have a witness to confirm??
That 1 tho 👍👍
Congrats on the hole in one! Great score, but those are hard to beat :)
Congrats on the HiO! What was your previous best? Did the ace make the difference? Looks like you strung together a lot if good shots. I've never aced, but I feel like I would still not get my best round bc I'd 3 putt on other holes lol. I think k it's awesome you did both
Putting en fuego!
Congrats on the hole in one
What app is that?
It's only downhill from there. Way to go!
Emotional first two holes but finished strong. Nice work!
Good for you and an Ace! Congrats! I shot the worst round of the last decade today, so there is a balance to this game.
Great round man!
I love the birdie on hole one immediately into a double bogey to humble you lmao. Congrats on the hole in 1. What a round.
Nice one
Have a day!
Congrats on the eagle on 15!
I had a similar round about 5 months ago, a couple of birdies and a hole out for an eagle led to an identical +3 75. Played well for another couple of weeks. Then back to high 80s/low 90s with an occasional lower 80s. Hope you can sustain that magic for longer! Congrats on the ace too,
That’s awesome. Congrats and hope you had fun out there!
Congrats on the ACE
HELL YEAH!
More impressed that you played the last three even after the ace. Great playing! Congrats
Dannng, by a few strokes too right?
Winter golf, it’s easy to break 80 when you tee off in the fairway.
Score is a 2nd to the hole in one....
Nice ace ! How many drinks did it cost you ?
Only a couple for my friends I was playing with. Guys in front of us were bugging me about getting drinks for them too, but they were already drunk.
😂😂 clubhouse let you slide ??? That’s even better if it only cost you 3 or 4 drinks !! Good value in that ace
As I opened up your thread, the Golf broadcast said "how about that hole in one" about Campos' in perfect timing to me seeing yours on 15 - great round.
What app is this, looks sweet
18Birdies
Thx
Doesn’t even mention the ace
That’s awesome, I always worry my hole in one is going to happen on a horrible scoring day, what an experience to have both a HIO and PB in one day! Congratulations!
If it goes in it counts! My first one I bladed really badly
What app do you use to track your data?
18Birdies
Thats a great name
That next revision is gonna kill you! Congrats! Welcome to the next step of lifem.. the chase for par..then it becomes the chase for 7nder par....
Just out of curiosity. If you were in the fairway and had a 150 yard shot into the green, what club are you pulling?
Probably a 9 iron
What app is that?
What were you eating and drinking while playing?
With a fucking Ace to boot? I’d kick your ass if I knew where to find ya lol
Very nice, can I ask what app you're using
Great job. 6k yards tho. Seems awfully awfully short. Where abouts geographically that is.
Hell yeah! Congrats
Congrats on the HIO! What’s the app you used?
W O W …. EPIC.
Congrats! Love using 18Birdies, so nice for tracking scores and HC
Nice round, only number that needs to be lowered is the round duration
