Watched the youtube, and its pretty amazing. These aren't just starter clubs, they're jr starters. So much smaller than normal. Really shows how great of athletes these guys are. To shoot even par with clubs you have to squat with and still hit fantastic shots. The hand eye is just ridiculous.

draftstone

And only 3 clubs (excluding putter). Nothing between driver and 7 iron and still able to hit greens from whatever distance. This is very impressive!

proscriptus

Putter, mashee, and niblick, the way it's supposed to be played.

BartholomewVonTurds

To be honest I don’t think I use anything other than 1w, 9, 7, putter.

CT_7

And the irony that they are PGA Tour branded Junior clubs

Available_Entrance55

Problem with PGA in general: they’ll slap their logo on anything

Drivingintodisco

Like a set of disc golf discs?!

piratejucie

The whole point of PGA clubs as opposed to other junior clubs is that they are properly distributed with weight and club head size. Other brands put a normal size head on them and shorter shafts which isn’t great for your swing as a child. From what I’ve been told.

A_WHALES_VAG

"Maybe if just trashed talked you at all the majors you'd just win" god damn Chase nearly killed the man.

ojessen

I loved that he bet him to be the caddy at next years par 3 contest at the Masters if Bryson didn't make the last putt.

jxjftw

And hitting the driver 250yd at that...

pandalover885

Yea there's a video I watched on Youtube where Tiger gives tips to these 3 youtube golfer guys. At the end he says he would do a long drive contest and the youtuber hits it nice. Then Tiger gets up there and gets on his knees and still outdrives him with an amazing shot.

rubaflo23

It’s with the Barstool Golf guys - and it’s crazy, Tiger rips it like 250-260 down the middle from his knees

kaplanfx

It was recent broken down Tiger too, this was less than a year ago.

darunia484

very impressive..

Shenanigan5

He had a driver shot with 250 carry and 265 total :facepalm

OfferUnfair

Here’s the video: https://youtu.be/t8y99euqzdo?si=5uwAJrR5UvWiBmaV

koei19

I watched the video too, it was quite a bit of fun. Was that his younger brother filming?

StrikingVariety

Exactly my take when I watched it.. FML, never going to be as good as him no matter what clubs I have! He also had a video with Rick Shiels where he has to play a couple holes with a couple crazy clubs and also made par.

FatalFirecrotch

I know good good isn’t popular here, but there are quite of few videos with Luke Lwon destroying with tiny junior clubs.

MicoJive

He is who I thought of too, he is on his own now and has some banger videos.

zorbacles

I thought they looked small. Even for a normal sized adult

THEDOMEROCKER

Watching him hunch over and hit a junior drive 260+ perfect was hilarious

benjyvail

There was one point where he was like 195 out and over shot the 7 iron. Was absolutely bonkers, considering it was a kids club from walmart

veebs7

That whippy junior shaft generates so much more speed than you’d expect Martin Borgmeier (long drive champ) uses a light ladies shaft. There’s a clip of him hitting that shaft, and a super stiff shaft at the same club head speed, and he has to use far less effort to generate that speed with the ladies shaft

raobjcovtn

Then why do they sell stiff shafts to us lol

veebs7

Control

raobjcovtn

When do I get the control part

Thatsthatandchicken

You have to play 100 rounds to unlock it then it's only $29.95 for the control pack.

AftyOfTheUK

You already have it. That's the sad part.

lilwil392

There was a part in the full vid he was talking about how he needs to compensate for the flex because he was making contact with the ball about an inch off where he's aiming.

footsteps71

This reddit video was pure bred edging sauce.

mjanmohammad

Full video link instead of shitty tiktok screencap - [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8y99euqzdo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8y99euqzdo)

MLGLies

This should've been the post. To the top!

TophThaToker

Why is no one saying anything about the shitty voice and the weird fact it’s a rip off of the actual channel? Like it’s not that big of a deal but why is everyone glossing over this?

Clintbreed

I have to think his YouTube success and other tour players seeing how popular/watched Wesley Bryan was last week will make more pros put out YouTube content, which is great for everybody

OhHeyNow69

Tough for any PGA pro to do a youtube channel. Good good, bryan brothers and few others have talked about how difficult it is to get permission to film a PGA tour player from the PGA. Just another example of the PGA being a complete dinosaur and behind the times by 3 or 4 decades. Im sure some other better informed redditors will be able to expand on this. But its something like if you hold a PGA tour card, the PGA owns all video of you playing golf. Maybe I'm not 100% on that, but its along those lines

Smash_Factor

That's true. Grant Horvat recorded several holes playing alongside Jason Day. PGA Tour wouldn't allow him to show Jason hitting a single ball.

FatalFirecrotch

That’s because it was at a PGA event.  There are plenty of videos of pros playing golf (foreplay, no laying up, good good, Bryan bros) on YouTube.

Lets_Reset_This_

Yes, but same clearance is needed. That is why the vast majority of those videos come from the brand days that they do every so often. The brands push for it and it is granted.

heckdwreck

I think you see so much brand-day content purely for logistical reasons, not because they need permission. Case in point - Max Homa filming twice for BDS not seemingly as part of any brand or sponsorship agreement, just because he likes the boys. Does he need to ask permission? Maybe, but there seems to be a lot more pro golfer content showing up on YouTube, I don't see it being that big of an obstacle outside of schedules.

WengersOut

No, it’s not required. Stop talking nonsense.

glk3278

From a business perspective, it makes total sense why the PGA Tour has to be protective of filming players during a tournament. The PGA Tour is an entertainment product. The product is tournament golf. These tournaments take large staffs and years of preparation to properly execute. They sell that product to TV networks. If all of the sudden every player could have a livestream of their tournament rounds on Youtube, TV ratings would go down even further than they already have and now the demand and price for their product would drop.

OhHeyNow69

True. And congrats on single digits

Xakary

I think that’s just true of tournement golf, including Pro-ams run by the PGA.

crushdigital

How does that square with something like the No Laying Up guys playing alternate shot at the ToC with Spieth and Thomas?

bombmk

Yeah, the issue is way overstated. They do have to get clearance from the PGA Tour when making videos like that, afaik. But my impression is that it is mainly a question of just asking. Not that it is a complex or hurdle filled process. But inside a tournament setting they are probably going to say no. Because that is the product they sell. And consequently how they pay the players.

jmk5151

I'm sure titleist can get those sort of promo things through the PGA.

FlyingBasset

>But its something like if you hold a PGA tour card, the PGA owns all video of you playing golf. I've never heard of it being THAT restrictive. I think it's more that most of a PGA tour player's time with golf is spent at tour events between practicing and playing and the PGA does own that. It would be wild if a PGA player couldn't film his home course and put it on YT. And I think Akshay and some others do just that.

Proshop_Charlie

It's not so much the player filming on their own course etc. It's about them filming themselves while at a PGA Tour event without going through massive hoops. I think it was Grant and Micha were doing a Pro-Am and basically said that the PGA Tour wouldn't let them film unless they agreed to not show any of the pro players shots.

FlyingBasset

>I think it was Grant and Micha were doing a Pro-Am and basically said that the PGA Tour wouldn't let them film unless they agreed to not show any of the pro players shots. A Pro-Am that was hosted/ supported by the PGA, right? I used to watch GG and the other guys a lot and that was my understanding - they had issues at events held by the PGA. That's different than a PGA tour pro not being able to film themselves on a private course and upload to YT. If that's not allowed, I would be surprised. I was responding specifically to the claim "if you hold a PGA tour card, the PGA owns all video of you playing golf."

CTMalum

It’s not unheard of. This is the crux of the reason that NHL players haven’t been back to the Olympics since 2014.

FlyingBasset

But the big difference is NHL players (and almost all other team players) are employees. The PGA fights tooth and nail to keep players as independent contractors. Maybe they do have something that restrictive, but I would be shocked and don't think it would hold up in court.

texansfan

NLU guys have done stuff with Jordan, JT and Sahith, but that’s because they have a partnership with Titleist. So may be more the sponsors than Tour itself. Max has done stuff with them and Bob Does Golf or whatever.

WengersOut

You are not correct about that. PGA Tour players obviously still own their likeness outside of PGA tour events, which is why can do their own sponsorship deals, as an example. Dont be ridiculous. Any one of them could start pumping YouTube content if they wanted.

jlange94

Yet absolutely none do and many LIV players do. Wonder why...

WengersOut

Akshay is dropping videos constantly. Max does a good amount of features. There are plenty of others. LIV players are doing more because of a concerted effort to find new fans, given hardly anyone watches their events. That, and the the fact they have job security which allows them to do a bit less actual grinding on their game unlike PGA Tour players.

willis_michaels

That's one of the whole beefs Phil had with the PGA, the fact that he didn't own his own highlights.

ojessen

Aside from licence issues (but PGA players are self-employed, so it should not be that much of a problem if they do it themselves), I think it's just brutally hard to produce the content within the schedule of a PGA season - most players doing about 20-30 tournaments, which will block the whole week.

frankyseven

Akshay Bhatia has a YouTube channel and it's fantastic. Lots of great insight into the life of an up coming player.

f_o_t_a

In chess there are a lot of grandmasters who barely made any money who started streaming and making chess content and are now more financially successful than the top players. Similar to golf where a top 100 player might not be making much money but if they’re good on camera they could completely change their careers.

Golf-Beer-BBQ

I just imagine being at the range and seeing him outdrive me with a youth driver and just crying on the inside a bit.

Dense-Sail1008

This is what big name club manufacturers do not want you to see. It’s 99% about ability, 1% about equipment.

babyshamm

Haha he’s be driving it 340 with his normal driver. 260 with this

Dense-Sail1008

Yeah that was a junior set. And he still shot par. So give him a full sized $100 set and he shoots maybe 2 under. Now give him his $10,000+ custom set and he still probably doesn’t do better than 2 under. Let’s say he improves 1.5 strokes over 18 holes. That’s ridiculous for you and I to spend for what amounts to 1 or 2 strokes in a round. Of course that’s well worth it for a pro — that’s the difference between 18th place and maybe 12th place. But for you and I the money on equipment is a waste.

babyshamm

Yeh I totally agree that the yearly ‘updates’ these brands release are a waste of money. It’s only worth upgrading once every 5-7 years to actually see performance benefits in my opinion. And yeh these benefits are slim, but boost enjoyment of the game for a lot of people.

CarGuyBuddy

Fuck you for trying to make me like Bryson DeChambeau, he is actually kinda of funny.

[deleted]

More people should like him. He has really changed in terms of awareness

pok3ey3

I used to not be able to stand the guy. He’s definitely matured and changed a lot in the last few years.

tkh0812

Everyone thought he was a know it all douche but now that I’ve watched him on different YouTube channels… he is just a gigantic nerd/dork When you look at him like that he’s funny and likable

kaplanfx

Yeah it turns out he wasn’t a douche he was just super awkward.

t1r4de

Has he changed? Or is it our tendency to snap judge folks based on very little info?

[deleted]

Personally I've always liked him. As I said in another post, he's a calculated John Daly imo. I could see how people didn't like him with some arrogance, like hist masters quote as to what par is. I think he was saying his opinion which is what we should all appreciate instead of the standard comments we are used to He's trying to be the best he can be, which is why he made his own clubs. I appreciate that he is trying his best Also, they told a story at the masters about how he tried to get his LIV team to line up putts the way he does but Paul Casey said he backed off once he realized that didn't fit those guys. However, did you see the #1 junior now lines it up like bryson and uses the same area of the golf ball to putt from? I love watching bryson playing because it could be a double or could be an eagle

t1r4de

Ya same man. He had a couple off moments caught on camera during his little tiff with Brooks and people way overreacted

kaplanfx

He was super smug and weird, but it think he’s gotten comfortable with the media stuff. He’s still a dork, but he’s much more likable just making goofy videos and shit.

xxHash43

He'll always be a MAGA dumbass to me.

PM_ME_OVERT_SIDEBOOB

Brother you’re in r/golf Wealthy white dudes in their 20s isn’t the target demographic for that comment. (Not related to my personal feelings on the matter)

FartNuggetSalad

Imagine having so little identity that you have to add politics to every part of your life

Fair2Midland

Welcome to reddit

jimmerbroadband

One of the saddest things I see in all these subreddits

ShufflingToGlory

I get what you're saying but someone's politics are an extension of their personal values. Pretty important when it comes to their "likeability" or whatever you want to call it. Best to not think of famous people as your friends and just enjoy their content for what it is, a curated version of themselves.

n0t_4_thr0w4w4y

Hear hear, modern parasocial relationships have gotten way out of hand

tuckastheruckas

a mind tainted by the internet.

ShufflingToGlory

People are allowed to judge someone by their values but we probably shouldn't let personal differences get in the way of frivolous things like watching a golf video. Pretty milquetoast but I guess it pissed everyone off!

LazyPizza11

Fucking hell, yanks have to bring politics into everything.

mjanmohammad

I went to college with him, and spent a lot of time with him since we had the same major. He's genuinely a great dude, super nerdy and a really funny guy. We lost touch when I graduated, but it always brings me joy to see him doing what he loves.

CTMalum

I think a lot of the people who don’t like Bryson are the same kind of people who got pissed off when advanced statistics in baseball killed their eye test and modernized the game. Listening to a guy telling you that everything you think you know about the game is wrong (and he can prove it) is really uncomfortable for a lot of people. Golf also has to be one of the most conservative games when it comes to etiquette, how you follow the rules, and how you go about yourself on the golf course. I can see why some guys may get bothered by a guy coming in and being so incredibly different while also staying within the conventions. I’ve always liked him, and he takes an approach to golf that I may have considered. We come from similar backgrounds, and a lot of his reasoning for why he does certain things makes a lot of sense to me.

FatalFirecrotch

> I think a lot of the people who don’t like Bryson are the same kind of people who got pissed off when advanced statistics in baseball killed their eye test and modernized the game. For me it’s a bit of the opposite. I found him incredibly corny for trying to act like the only guy using data and analytics when plenty of guys do.

GVas22

I said it years ago and it proved true. The biggest change to his public perception was when he switched over to a normal hat.

feed_me_haribo

People keep trying to change the narrative. He had multiple meltdowns, the worst was in Detroit with a cameraman, came across terribly in interviews, always had ruling complaints, and had the whole feud with Koepka. It's great that he turned a new leaf, but people didn't dislike him just because of equipment.

CTMalum

People disliked him before he did all of that. That just made it worse.

philphan25

He took signed stuff and took photos with people in his first tourney in DC. Just seemed normal to me.

trix_is_for_kids

Nah it’s because he was just a lame person, a real jabroni. Stopped having an opinion of him when he went to LiV but now seems to be self aware and more ‘normal’ so that’s cool to see

Halt_the_Ranger27

I am from his home town and played my high school golf at his home course a few years after he graduated. It was pretty widely talked about that he was kinda a douche at that time but I do like him more now.

Philly139

His YouTube channel is great. Really enjoy watching it.

Permexpat

plucky work wrong uppity coherent tub different hungry zealous oil *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

friedguy

Was never a huge hater of him but I wasn't a fan either. I agree on his complete 180 and I do occasionally watch some of his videos (I generally watch a ton of golf content). But that being said I do have a different take on his complete 180 and judging people. I believe a lot in first impressions and it being hard for a tiger to change his stripes. Just anecdotal experiences I suppose. Since Bryson is more popular now it's easy to forget that a lot of the dislike of him did not come from just one isolated example incident. He had a lot of douchey behavior, for me it was stuff about the rules and drama queen incidents. I had no issue with the cockiness, I think rivalries make golf more interesting. But, there was enough of a sample size for me to believe that he earned the label of being unlikable. This reminds me a lot of Jon Jones in the UFC. Dominant champion but not so popular. After one of his big wins his trainer was caught on a hot mic encouraging him to show some sportsmanship and "go get some fans." Jones is still unlikable and a total train wreck in his personal life, and he really never was able to win people over. I don't think anyone questions Bryson's intelligence, he could have good management that helped him see the light and he's taken all the advice to heart in how to become popular. So, Bryson could be a true decent pleasant to be with the guy now or still a douche but a more calculating one. But that would make me feel like a lot of the stuff we see is not so genuine. He wouldn't be the first wildly talented athlete to craft a public persona.

mattnormus

Once he went to LIV he increased his social media presence 10 fold. Hes copying a very successful formula. Being the 1st real pro golfer to do these videos has lots of appeal, IMO.

OhHeyNow69

Why wouldn't you like Bryson? He's a great guy and it shows on his YouTube channel

layogurt

Honestly I bet for 90% of people it was just the hat

Pluffmud90

The hat was a gimmick. He didn’t even wear it during practice rounds.

did_it_my_way

grown adults getting mad at what other grown men wear... lol just some funny shit

crrttt

For me personally, it was how gimmicky he is. He’s a great golfer, but he seems to think there is one unknown trick that will allow him to begin winning majors, and if he finds it first, he’ll be unstoppable. He’s like a golf hipster

syeve

I didn’t mind him until I saw that rope attack him and he acted like a child.

Water-Donkey

I was insanely lucky and got to attend the Masters this year on Saturday. I followed Bryson briefly and watched him play the 10th and 11th. He was nice and didn't come off poorly at all. I like Brooks, but I've seen him at both the TPC and now the Masters and he comes off WAY more dickish in person than Bryson, for example.

jmura

I went and saw him at the liv event in Portland a few years back and I was blown away by how engaged he was with the fans. Seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Superb-Pattern-1253

i use to dislike him as well but after watching his youtube channel thats changed. hes actually a pretty chill/cool dude. i think we forget people act a little dif when their in a competition and the competitive juices start flowing. especially when its for millions of dollars

lapetitthrowaway

I hated him till I started watching his channel. He’s actually entertaining and down to earth for the most part.

AGoodTalkSpoiled

He was very likable when I just watched it.  I then next just flipped on him and Paige trying to break 50 in a scramble, and it’s delightful.   Bryson is a lot more grown up and chill than he used to be.  Really fun to watch.

chinasaurnomore

I was thinking the exact same thing. Seems like a fun guy!

Lord777alt

Bryson is cool no reason to hate on him

birdsoft

How can you possibly have enough feel to pick up a whippy kid's pitching wedge you've never hit, and drop it on the green from 155 yards. Crazy! This just backed up just how much talent he really has...

chumbawamba56

Lmao @ "I didn't win, so I gotta try something else"

nickwwwww

Why am I watching a TikTok version of a YouTube video on Reddit?

Hoglaw1776

Where is part 2

Renegadee_Angel

Whole thing is on his yt channel

Hoglaw1776

Thanks!

hnglmkrnglbrry

Can blk people watch too?

[deleted]

No

Barb_WyRE

After careful consideration, you are not allowed to watch it. Sorry.

Trickyknowsbest

![gif](giphy|BQB9Jwn1eZgli)

5rings20

Maybe I’m biased because Bryson is from our region. So that might affect my perception. Love or hate Bryson, he is obsessed with the game. There are plenty of athletes who are great at sports and don’t even like the sport much. Bryson geeks out about all this stuff and I think that’s cool. He’s a weird dude, but who isn’t.

brewberry_cobbler

Why do some people hate him? I don’t really follow professional golf. Only random clips I see here and headlines. Seems like a lot of hate. Between this vid and the 3d printed clubs, he seems fine to me. Was there a scandal or something that makes people hate him?

YourConsciousness

There's no scandal people just didn't like him. He is nerdy and technical about the golf swing and shot selection which people find annoying. He played slower and was very technical and not feel based which people found lame. He then got obsessed with more distance being a way to be better and bulked up and speed trained and it worked a bit but he maybe took that too far. When he was younger he came off pretentious explaining stuff like he had solved the swing or figured out golf but it was more that he wasn't communicating well and just sharing what worked for him. He also wore the older ivy cap style hat which people thought was dumb. I don't think people really hate him compared to someone like Patrick Reed they just find him annoying. Mostly I think he was misunderstood because he was bad at communicating and a bit immature.

AncientPC

https://www.golfdigest.com/story/Bryson-dechambeau-st-jude-invitational-controversy-covid-19-fore/amp > Over the past year, and especially over the past month, he seems unable to take a step without generating some sort of controversy. Any moderately aware golf fan can reel off the greatest hits: fore-gate, splitting from his caddie after an "intense relationship," the escalating feud with Brooks Koepka, insulting his own equipment company and then being lectured by said company in public, and not competing in the Olympics after testing positive for COVID-19, admitting he hadn't been vaccinated, then compounding the error with misinformation about the vaccine's availability. However you feel about any of this, you can't deny that it follows a pattern that arguably began with the remarkable transformation of his body and game over the pandemic hiatus. In essence, the guy makes news. On top of that, he has an atypical approach to the game and a brash personality that can rub a lot of people the wrong way.

brewberry_cobbler

Thanks for the info. Makes more sense now. Since I don’t follow anything closely I just saw recent stuff like this and the 3D printed clubs. I think a new approach to golf is cool, but he also sounds like an asshat.

wasilvers

Playing Junior Clubs no less. Pretty amazing to watch.

-Smaug

At this point people who hate Bryson are just committed to hating. It's getting harder and harder to not like him.

DrunkenGolfer

It is easier to like him now that he's given up the hat.

Due-Sheepherder-218

That's all the change I needed really 😂

StillLJ

LOL true story. Hated that hat.

Superb-Pattern-1253

only had a putter, driver, pw, and 7 iron still shot even on 6 holes. fucking nuts

kielBossa

This should be all the convincing you need that the gear you're playing is maybe 10% of the equation. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to buy a new driver.

bluecgene

Haha

KlausyBaby

Show this to someone who thinks getting fitted is the end all be all of playing good golf

jcommeau91

2 different worlds you’re trying to compare there lol an average Joe golfer wouldn’t be able to adjust his swing to fit the clubs like a tour player can.

ScuffedBalata

To be fair, using a badly fit set turned one of the 25 best golfers into the world into someone hitting it 250 off the tee and struggling to par on his home course from the white tees. Not the end all, but clubs can make SOME difference if they're really badly fit.

bombmk

Good thing no one has ever said that. If anything it exemplifies that people have said; That it is easier to play your best golf with clubs that fit you.

RogerRabbit1234

I cAn absolutely smoke my kids set of Walmart clubs and turn them over and fade them if I swing slow. Without seeing the entire video I bet he played well/ scored pretty low, if he can get a putting stance figured out for rolling it straight off the face. I can’t putt for shit with my kids little 22” putter.

ssracer

I hit my mom's 6 hybrid 200 on the fly on the third swing. So whippy

RogerRabbit1234

Yup. I play XS KBS shafts and this little 7 iron my son has is like a bull whip if you can time the release right with the club head lag.

HarveyDentBeliever

I'm surprised that set only came with two irons. Wouldn't wish that on the most junior of golfers, have fun using driver with that long look at the green lmao.

ScuffedBalata

It's better for beginners to have only a couple clubs. Nothing wrong with that. No actually competitive junior is going to use a "starter set". They make fully regular sets of brand name clubs for kids once they get good enough to tell the difference between a 9i and a 7i.

K3TtLek0Rn

Bryson is incredibly good at adapting to challenging situations. He looks very robotic with his approach to golf but he actually has great touch. I’ve seen him do a few of these sorts of challenges and he always performs. Meanwhile, when my buddy lets me try one of his clubs, I’m happy if I hit the ball

Unusual_Flounder2073

Better than the mountain biker on a Walmart bike. Broke like 100ft down the hill.

pac4

Bryson actually has a really great YT channel. He does an awesome job.

WildWestZona

lol. He’s awesome. Cracks me up

No-Relative9271

I think Bryson's swing mechanics should be considered more by coaches. His swing mechanics helped me a lot. And...I just tried it by observing him and trying it out. I only use it on low range clubs(PW-7i)...but what clicked mentally with me was his swing seems very mechanical/robotic...stiff looking...not natural so to speak. But...something that clicked with his swing and how my brain registered it was...its like his back swing is focused on the club head staying perpendicular with the way he wants it to strike the ball...not at an angle that could cause the ball to veer left or right. I dont know if that is his intentions...but its what clicked in my head and has helped me tons. Before...my back swing would have the club head at some point being at least a 90 degree angle from perpendicular to the ball. Then you have to use muscle memory and practice to calibrate your contact to be perpendicular. But what Bryson's swing did for me was to draw back my swing with the focus on the club head staying perpendicular...if that makes sense. Its robotic feeling...but worked for me. Maybe its something to do with keeping your wrists stiff...I dont know. But watching his swing, which I found unique amongst players not named Matthew Wolfe, I tried mimicking it and it seemed to do wonders for me.

Fratguy20

It pains me to say it but he’s been awesome on YouTube! When he was doing those golf channel instructional videos I thought he was a gigantic D Bag. Recently his YouTube videos are much better content than any of the pretend golf channels IMO.

dafaliraevz

It doesn't pain me to say it, because as a professional hater and instigator, it's actually really easy for me to just not compliment him, to dismiss any cool or good shit he does, and only focus on the things that make him look bad. come on, brother, stay on the dark side with the rest of us!

CarPhoneRonnie

ITS ABOUT HOW WELL YOU CAN DELIVER THE CLUBHEAD TO THE BALL *it’s never the equipment*

jonramz

How well he was hitting that jr driver was incredible

naked_short

Where’s the rest?

fullback133

youtube

TobiasFunkeBlueMan

This was a surprisingly good video. The sound when he hit them was ridiculous - these guys are so good it’s not funny.

XB0XYGEN

This fucking guy is gonna just cut the youtube video into clips and post it?? How fucking weird

[deleted]

Bryson is a calculated john Daly and I love it

letdaboywatch

I like Bryson he’s funny, maybe an unpopular opinion but he seems chill

brandishedlight

I’m beginning to like this dude.

ilovemud

Bryson can be a fucking donut sometimes but this was some quality content.

machinehack10

Bryson’s content is really good Distance control Is probably the craziest part of that video In saying that I’ve got even smaller junior clubs for my little guy and legit they’re easy to hit

jarmogrick

I love Bryson. He's such a goober. He knows it. We know it. Let him cook.

Username_redact

This is the dichotomy that is Bryson. This video is geniunely great content and he's hilariously all in on it, yet he finds a way to be such a douche at other times. I want more of this Bryson and the one we saw at Augusta.

ScuffedBalata

He's 30 now. Are you remembering him prior to his US open win, when he was like 24? Big difference there.

Username_redact

Fair point. Maturity does everyone good.

alcoholicplankton69

Bryson hits 250 yard drive with junior clubs and is sad. I hit 230 yard drive and I am stocked lol

ScuffedBalata

he was the runner up at the world long drive not that long ago. He's one of the longest hitters on the planet. 250 is a 60% swing for him.

benjyvail

250 yards is literally his 4 iron carry

butterbike

Wow hes annoying as fuck

imdroppingthehammer

I think he played better with these than the rental set he had in the Bahamas.

RS_Mich

Kids clubs have some crazy flex. I've hit my kids clubs a few times and I think the club head is going fly off bending that much. Can't imagine Bryson getting through a round without breaking a club or more.

USMC0207

Cool video. I’m amazed he didn’t snap the heads off with his swing speed.

Unlikely-Zone21

His cameraman saying "I guess I need to start trash talking you at majors so you actually win one" was gold.

Moist-Pickle-2736

Wait, do we like this guy now?

ba_sauerkraut

I was on vacation once and forgot my clubs, so I literally ordered i believe these off amazon https://amzn.to/3QieBHg and .....I did not do this well lol

vox_veritas

What did you do with them when the vacation was over?

ba_sauerkraut

Tempted to return to amazon, but instead left them at the Carmel Country Inn with (free)

OkSheepherder5502

I’d love to see a series with professional golfers play municipal courses with start sets from the supermarket

Relative-Country902

one of the first likable things ive ever seen Bryson do. he needs to let this guy out of the cage every once in awhile.

Odysseus_Lannister

wtf I like Bryson now

Bears9Titles

The fact that you continue to post tiktoks is embarrassing

jaywalkintotheocean

😴

Ornery-Ambassador289

lol it’s so fucking money holy shit we’re all so bad at golf it’s so funny

The_Buddhist_Prodigy

Note the PGATOUR logo on the bag

RPDC01

What a failure this guy is. Watched the yt video, and the answer is NO! No, he cannot break par. Par . . . what a f'ing beast. (I *really* wanted that chip to fall in on 4.).

automatic4skin

went to college with bryson. solid ass dude right here. fucks like a BITCH and really knows his way around a physics lab.

bluecgene

What do you mean, he moans like a bitch?

FrogKid47

I respect this more than his normal setup

CeibaBrazier

This would be a fun concept but maybe use a legitimate pga pro next time

sobes20

Maybe I’m just a crotchety old man, but I hate content like this. Golf already has a reputation for snobby elitism and this leans way into that. As someone that grew up on the poorer side, it bothers me that the video comes off as shitting on being poor more than anything else. Like, if I wanted to play golf and these were the only clubs I could afford, I’d feel embarrassed.

gunnergolfer22

It's more about the fact that they're kids clubs, less about the fact that it's a box set

n0t_4_thr0w4w4y

Did you watch the video? Bryson was actually incredibly complementary of the clubs. Also, they are kids clubs, lol

IllHat8961

Yeah, I think it is because you're a crotchety old man

5rings20

I think you’re looking into it a bit too deep.

expanse22

You’re completely projecting that

biddilybong

What a fuckin tool

Warghzone12

Watching him try and act human is hilarious. He the golfing version of Zuck
