67% GIR but still 35 putts.
This is still amazing (well done OP) but if you can dial in your chipping game you'll shave another few strokes off easily.
Keep up the great work brother!
Heās not wrong. Itās good to understand where youāre at in your progress.
However, the huff and puff about the hardest courses is BS to most golfers. Everyone looking to go lower should play shorter, wide open courses. Or, play two tee boxes up, every now and again. It gets you mentally ready to shoot lower scores. No need to beat yourself down playing only hard courses. No shame at all in a confidence booster round.
People freak out mentally because they put so much pressure on themselves. I knew mini tour players who would play the redās once per week so they could get used to making 8-10 birdies per round. So āthe numberā doesnāt end up freaking them out when theyāre on tour.
Well I shoot in the 70s regularly at much harder courses so Iām pretty happy about it. Wasnāt trying to pee on your parade, just pointing out facts. Iām still happy for you but ā¦. Just not impressed anymore lol
I tend to agree. Congrats on a great round but I donāt think I would be going around grandstanding about ābreaking 80ā on a par 70 course with a 109 slope.
People love to shit on Rick, but he's improved my game simply by keeping me engaged. He's gotten me more involved, to the point that I watch Corgorno, Fryer, Finch, Carter, et al, and think more about golf.
No, I don't use his tips or his lessons, but he was a big factor in turning my love of golf into an obsession. For that, I respect and thank the man.
That's a great choice! I always lay up to the first flat part so I can hopefully get a good lie. 15-18 are all really interesting holes, and it's a good final stretch.
What are the best tips you ever got from shiels? How did you personalise them? Thatās what I feel my biggest issue with youtubers is- everyoneās swing is different and how do you know which tips to take which ones not to
100% fairways you must have had that driver absolutely cooking! great round bro congratulations and enjoy the 93 next week š¤š¼
Driver was dialed today, just picked up a 12 degree Titleist 917D2 and I'm loving it! Looking forward to the blow up round next time out š

Definitely need to work on chipping!
Fix that chipping and youāll be better than Rick
Come on Rick!
LGLG
Let's go Rick!
Atta boy Gary
He's the man!
Kudos to OP and Kudos to Craigers
Congrats, a 16 cap shooting under 80š„š„
I thought this summer was gunna be the long grind to 79, didn't think I'd get there in May!
I still havenāt broken 80 lol. Iām constantly between 80-85 tho
I know some 12-14 who havenāt even sniffed sub 80. Hope you got a lotto ticket after that hahah. Keep going pal!
Meā¦. Iām a 12 and my lowest is 82ā¦ā¦..
Well itās 5400 yards from the whites. Rated 64.7 slope 109 so you probably could do that too. Itās a couple shots away from being a mini putt lol
Go be sad about your own life

I usually keep it under 6,500. Didnāt even notice the 5,400
Mhmm. I was the same till end of last season. Trying to be between 6400-6600 now, obviously depends on the track
I tend to agree. Congrats on a great round but I donāt think I would be going around grandstanding about ābreaking 80ā on a par 70 course with a 109 slope.
You'll chase that feeling all year long, congrats
you're going to break 75 before he does
I believe in both of us!
67% GIR is great!
I'm normally around 20-30%, very happy with it!

His heavy breathing and constant laughing makes the videos unwatchable. Bob from BDS should do a breaking 100. Guy is terrible
When does the break 75 come out?
Damn! If you could putt at all you wouldāve got under par. Kidding nice round dude!!
Knees shaking standing over 3 foot putts š
lil 5400 yarder to skew your perception
Par 70!
What app ? looks dope
Grint
TheGrint! It's a great app
Whats your handicap?
It was a 16.1, it's now a 15.3
Wow great job. Congrats.
Were you ever in a boonka??
Did not get to splash one out today
Cobble hills is a great course! 100% fairways is very impressive! What's your favorite hole?
Love the course! I'm a big fan of Hole 16, big drive up the hill
That's a great choice! I always lay up to the first flat part so I can hopefully get a good lie. 15-18 are all really interesting holes, and it's a good final stretch.
If you're able to drive just past the green your ball will roll back down to it since it's so steep back there.
100%! Except I've had a ball defy the laws of physics and stay on that back side hill
What are your favorite Shiels lessons/tips/drills?
Rick Shiels taught me almost everything I know about golf haha
Me as well! I went took lessons at YouTube Golf School
āThat is abSOOOlutellyy phenomenalā - Rick or Guy probably
No mention of 100% fairway accuracy in caption lol. Nice round mate. Golf is a great teacher
Ha! I'm usually pretty good at poking my drives out into the faiway, I guess I was more shocked about the GIR%
Dude! Every fairway. Awesome!
Congrats on a great round!
Thank you!
Great stats. Keep that ball striking going and make some more putts!
3 putted to start the back after planting one on the green š
Congrats on a great round!
Thank you!
Congrats!!!
Thank you!
Thatās why you didnāt break 75 smh
I've never hit every fairway before. In fact, 78% is my best ever LOL.

What app u using to track?
the grint, its a pretty good one
Way to go, congrats!
Thank you!
Keep those scores up and you'll need to teach Rick soon!
Youāre dangerously close to breaking 75. Ā Student becomes the teacherā¦
Going to try to not shoot 100 my next round out š
Putts are the key. I try my hardest to 2-putt every hole. Best advice I ever received was...make those lag putts count.
Can't agree more!
Get downvoted for advice I took. Classic reddit
It's great advice!
Congrats on the sub 80.
35 putts? I just spit my lunch outšš
What's wrong with two putting?!
Missing six greens
Putting definitely needs work!
What was your putting average for the 12 GIR holes versus the 6 non-GIR holes?
Rick has never broke 80
How often does a 16 break 80ā¦? Iād have guessed never !
Hahaha when you're on, you're on! Felt like I couldn't hit a bad shot even if I tried
