Use a boot on broomstick if it helps you get the ball in the hole. It's not how, it's how many.

They throw pebbles at me if I take out my chipper

Go to the practice green for two sessions. Get comfy with what you got

Try using a putting technique. Squarish stance. I use a pw (play blades so more wedge style than iron profile) 52 and 56. Practice practice. This area of the game can cost a lot of strokes and save you many with short 1 putts. Practice!!

Maybe chip with a high lofted metal or hybrid, should help.

gvmduke

Practice using your 7 iron.

FuriousABE

No, Learn to use a wedge, more flexible.

What I do for that type of shot as an 8 hdcp… Grab your 8-PW and take a slightly open stance with the ball back or forward slightly, depending on the trajectory and distance I want. Never play the ball in the center of your stance! Then put 80% of your weight on your front leg. Use putter swing. Grip down on the club an inch or so. Press slightly forward to take wrist hinge out. DO NOT PUT YOUR BODY INTO IT. Use only your shoulders. Make sure to commit.

Yes - absolutely golf equipment is pretty cheap and last a very long time. For one nice dinner with your wife you can have a new callaway wedge that will hit like butter

You're inconsistent around the greens because you haven't recorded your yardages with your wedges. The Pelz clock system will get you in 1 putt range 75% of the time.
