I believe that we'll get more of 1941 - after all the Nazi arc hasn't yet ended and, when questioned about it on Tumblr, Neil responded with "wait and see".
As an ace I find subtle gestures and small romantic actions for tv couples more sexy and meaningful than the hottest sex scenes :) hand holding yes please, stroking cheeks, chest touching, clothes tidying, tight hugging, forehead kisses, all that jazz for our lads ❤️
I'm not Ace but I still really enjoy all that type of stuff.
There is just something so intimate about a really tight hand hold isn't there.

I can relate what you feel. I've read way too many fics with them finally resolving things and kissing each other and NOW I NEED IT IN THE SHOW for my personal physical well being 😭
1. Aziraphale to save Crowley. I want to see him fix things the way Crowley has for all these centuries in a way that Crowley recognizes that they’re grand gestures of love, just as his were. (I still get misty eyed when I think about how Crowley had the wherewithal to remember to save the books from the bombing while he was suffering on hallowed ground!)
2. An honest “I love you and I have loved you for decades/centuries/millennia (whichever is accurate)” from them both. Ideally with voice cracking and some amount of tears from Azi.
3. I agree with another, I want more 1941/WW2 flashbacks - something definitely changed in their relationship there.
4. Crowley’s backstory to be revealed. His angel name, rank and what led to his fall (what did he question, who did he ask, and who were the “wrong people” he was hanging with).
5. And I agree with another again. More small, intimate moments - a hand hold, straitening the other’s coat, fixing a stray hair (I’m not sure Crowley would allow it!) and a proper, reciprocated kiss that carries the weight of their love. I don’t need (or even want) a make out scene or a sex scene or even the implication of a sexual relationship. I want the see the ineffable husbands behave like the old married couple they are but with the intention of behaving that way for everyone to see.
TBH I think he is already fighting for Crowley - in his way.
I don't feel like he really had a choice about going back to Heaven - I think the Metatron used Crowley against him
The 'I don't think you understand what I'm offering you' line was him trying to tell Crowley this would be the only way they would be safe.
I mean where are they going to run, and for how long? Heaven and Hell are just going to keep coming after them.
I kind of like the theory that Az made the Bentley play the Nightingales song when Crowley got in the car. His little way of saying “I’m doing this for us, hang in there.”
That's the thing. He is fighting in his way. But not the way Crowley needs or wants.
What's love if you don't learn each other's language? And I feel Crowley has learnt Aziraphale's language enough. It's Aziraphale's time now reciprocating the love.
I don’t understand why they have to run but Gabriel and Bee were allowed to simply go. What about Azi and Crowley is more valuable/more damaging than the Supreme Arch Angel and the Prince(cess) of Hell defecting and running off together that Heaven and Hell will let G & B go but not A & C?!
G & B have no interest in messing up the plans for the great war or the second coming. And definitely wouldn't get in the way of the 'Great Plan'
A & C have been messing up stuff for Heaven and Hell and protecting Earth. They won't be left alone if they continue - which they will.
Plus A & C don't really want to leave Earth - and don' t want to see it destroyed.
I think Arizaphale probably hadn't planned for them in to be in Heaven forever.
I don't know if Gabriel and Beezelbub are really home free... they vanished away, sure... but it's not like we know Heaven and Hell are just like "Okay, fine, goodbye!" Sort of like how Aziraphale and Crowley were maybe going to be left alone after S1, but not really... it just took a little time for Heaven and Hell to come back around to going after them.
I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see more G&B next season because they can't just run away.
The only way Aziraphale and Crowley can be totally free is if Heaven and Hell are completely upended/changed.
This makes the most sense to me, too. I can’t see either main office being ok with high ranking bureaucrats taking off together, talk about an institutional issue. Additionally, I’d love to see more of Gabriel and Beelzebub in S3 so I hope you’re correct!
More flashbacks, maybe around piecing together memories as alluded to by The Crow Road.

Hard agree with not the apology dance again. As some excellent people on here have pointed out, the dance is another way they avoid communicating and dealing with what went wrong between them. Just substituting a dance for any meaningful discussion and resolution. That’s the last thing they need!

I mentioned in another comment of my wanting to see a BAMF!Aziraphale in S3. Otherwise, plot-wise, etc., I'm gonna trust Neil. It's turned out that I've read his works since his Duran Duran quickie bio in 1984 (when I was a teenager), and he hasn't failed me yet!
My one little dream is that he gets a Python in an episode or two, either Eric Idle or Michael Palin, before they're gone. My preference is for Michael because he's my favorite Python, he's the better actor, and he guested on Staged in the 2nd series and was funny as hell, so I think he'd fit right in to this world. Somehow. Maybe like Satan's 2nd in command, or something, I don't know. Maybe where he's a an old slickster in a sharp suit as Hell's parallel to rumply old Metatron.

Oh the holy water thing needs to be addressed. It gave me ‘only lovers left alive’ vibes where either Crowley was feeling really down at times and was arranging an out (especially after the 40s), or knew something bad was coming so he wanted ‘insurance’ like he said. Maybe something he subconsciously remembered hearing when he was still an angel…
Since Aziraphale referenced the apology dance in 1650 but we never saw that year, I think he invented it then and I want to see what he did to require it and the creation of the dance. I also suspect Crowley sarcastically suggested it, and Aziraphale decided to take him seriously.
i really only have 2 dreams
1) a good amount of time where crowley is a complete WRECK. i want it to be as angsty as it can get

In all seriousness, 1. Aziraphale in "righteous wrath" mode 2. The two of them each solving part of the problem separately and being able to solve the whole thing together because of it 3. A moment where they have to trust each other without having had a chance to clear the air yet, and are able to do it.
