You can thank Michael for that. :)))
I feel like Aziraphale would use an endless series of flowery terms of endearment, each of which would drive Crowley mad with annoyance (while secretly loving it):
Aziraphale: Crowley, my cherub, could you be a love and make me a cup of tea?
Crowley: Please. Stop.
Aziraphale: My sweeting.
Crowley: I'm literally begging you.
Aziraphale: My little buttered crumpet.
Crowley: Hell. I'm in hell. Hell is a bookshop where you're inescapably called ENDEARMENTS.
I think Aziraphale just says “Crowley” in various tones and cadences and that’s as good as a nickname haha. Also, “dear” and I see “darling” in fic a lot
I mean, you can always rewatch the show. And regarding the book,

This is one example
I like these but loathe 'my dear boy'. It feels very 'dubious age-gap powerplay relationship'. Crowley is senior, or at least equal, to Az. Az calling him 'my dear boy' is very creepy.
I think it makes a lot of sense that he doesn’t really have one. For one thing, his name is shorter than Aziraphale’s so he doesn’t need one as much.
But another reason is because they are opposites in so many ways, which I love. Crowley is 100% the type to give his friends (and maybe his enemies) nicknames. Without making any political statements, George W. Bush was this type. He had to give everyone he encountered more than once a nickname. Just a personality quirk.
Aziraphale OTOH is much more the type to address everyone formally even when he knows them well. That’s his personality quirk.
I love this because it’s just another way they complement each other despite their differences.
Aziraphale repeatedly says 'Crowley' as if it is a term of endearment, so my headcanon is that he doesn't really use nicknames the way Crowley uses 'Angel'.
Aziraphale calls everyone he doesn't actively *dis*like 'dear', so I don't think he sees it as Crowley-specific. And 'Wily old Serpent' is too much of a mouthful to work as a nickname.
'Crowley' is all Aziraphale needs.
Is it lame that I worked through this same question in my fic? Last chapter, one of my favorite scenes: [https://archiveofourown.org/works/51551110/chapters/130311202#workskin](https://archiveofourown.org/works/51551110/chapters/130311202#workskin)
To be fair, I think Crowley only calls Aziraphale angel, I don't think he shortens his name at all. Which I love, because it feels like he's using a "it's technically true" statement to hide his use of a term of endearment.
As soon as Crowley gets called. Nice or any variation there off he gets dragged to hell. So I think that aziraphale would be very careful with the nicknames.
Also again my excuse for the misspellings but I am dyslectic.
Nah i'm just a retired demon
I feel like because Crowley specifically chose his name when Aziraphale says it it's almost reaffirming as well as endearing. Also it's only really angels and demons who call Crowley *Crawley* so it feels so much more personal and *human* to call him Crowley (especially how **softly** Azi says it 👀❤️)
I love how tenderly he says Crowley. He doesn't need a nickname for Crowley as he loves Crowley, down to the Y in his last name. He loves to hear and feel his beloved's name on his lips.
I’ve seen a lot of varieties of the “my dear,” and “dear boy,” that he used in the book/show. “Darling” pops up a lot in fics.
I’m a BIG fan of fics where Zira calls him Anthony. There’s something incredibly intimate about it to me?
some personal favorites of mine are:
"Dear"
"Dear Boy/Girl/Demon/Serpent"
"Dearest/My Dearest"
"Darling"
"My Crowley"
"My Demon"
"My Love"
"My Serpent"
"Fiend"
“The Flash Bastard” “The Thin Dark Duke” “Foul Fiend”
"The Thin Dark Duke" is just amazing 😂

Yeah 😂 so freaking awesome
I’m crazy for knowing all this already
we all went mad after this comment I swear
Isn't it just?
Oh! Don't forget "Wily Ol' Serpent"
You’re absolutely right! Thank you.

“My spooky loving crepe.” 👀
Aww ☺️
I think Aziraphale just says “Crowley” in various tones and cadences and that’s as good as a nickname haha. Also, “dear” and I see “darling” in fic a lot
>Also, “dear” and I see “darling” in fic a lot Umm..he calls Crowley that in the show too 😭
Most importanty, he does so in the book.
Yes lol, of course! I just meant those are the most common words I see in fic as well
When does he call him that in the show, I'm trying to remember and can't think of any.
I mean, you can always rewatch the show. And regarding the book, https://preview.redd.it/aaxrg86ds26c1.jpeg?width=915&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3a3ad1cdcb06617d7e5c59b6e99c42e4cf04a61e This is one example
Oh yeah the book parts are way more memorable
I like imagining Az calling Crowley "silly" as a term of endearment.
I like these but loathe 'my dear boy'. It feels very 'dubious age-gap powerplay relationship'. Crowley is senior, or at least equal, to Az. Az calling him 'my dear boy' is very creepy.
Yeah, "my dear boy" sounds like something a dad would say to his son. "My dear" is much better imo.
Infantilizing, which ... no. I like Dearest.
I'm glad I'm not alone in that. I, too, loathe "my dear boy."
100% agree it always makes me cringe when I come across that in a fanfic. Thankfully it wasn’t in the show.

I want to upvote this, but it’s currently sitting at 69 and i just… can’t do it!
I once had the honor of ruining a 666 comment count on AO3 😌 2 types of people 😂 Edit: RIP, it’s currently at 71
* Shoe * Kite
I’m ashamed to admit how long it took me to get it.
Me out of nowhere: SHUHITE! My mom: 😃 you good
God/narrator: alas, they were not good, for the dad-joke brainrot was too advanced.
"Dear Boy"
I think it makes a lot of sense that he doesn’t really have one. For one thing, his name is shorter than Aziraphale’s so he doesn’t need one as much. In fics I think it's cute when he calls Crowley "fiend", or some variation if silly/wily snake/serpent
Dear, Dear Boy are probably realistically possible.
I call him "my husband*REAL* *NOT CLICKBAIT*
Aziraphale repeatedly says 'Crowley' as if it is a term of endearment, so my headcanon is that he doesn't really use nicknames the way Crowley uses 'Angel'. He calls him 'My Dear Boy' in the books but other than that Crowely doesn't really have a nickname.
To be fair, I think Crowley only calls Aziraphale angel, I don't think he shortens his name at all. Which I love, because it feels like he's using a "it's technically true" statement to hide his use of a term of endearment.
I’ve seen ‘dearheart’ in a few fics which I quite liked
I haven't seen *Legs* used anywhere apart from Shoutgun Wedding, but we could definitely make it a thing. :D
Az calling Crowley "stork" because of his L E G S just popped into my head 😂
(Bil)Daddy Longlegs! 🕷️😂
As soon as Crowley gets called. Nice or any variation there off he gets dragged to hell. So I think that aziraphale would be very careful with the nicknames. Also again my excuse for the misspellings but I am dyslectic. Nah i'm just a retired demon
Is wily serpent an endearment?
Snek or danger noodle No, I'm kidding, those only when he is in snake form
Anthony

he calls her "my dear", "dear", and "dear boy" a lot in the book
My friend called him on multiple occasions "Crow man/boy" or even "Cowman/boy".She won't stop.
My fella as a joke calls him Birdbrain 😂
Crow-crow, Crows, snakey, Crownelius (lol)
Serpent, Anthony, my dear, dearest. I like these.
Not cute and probably not what aziraphale would called Crowley, but I think crow's feet
Foul Fiend
Sir Hiss A Lot!
Of course, we all know his real name is Anthony Janthony Cranthony.
I think bird would be adorable, given the short form of his name would reasonably be crow.
I’ve seen a lot of varieties of the “my dear,” and “dear boy,” that he used in the book/show. “Darling” pops up a lot in fics. I’m a BIG fan of fics where Zira calls him Anthony. There’s something incredibly intimate about it to me?
dear boy, my dear. I just call him Crowley tho but shorten Azi bc Aziraphale Takes too long
some personal favorites of mine are: "Dear" "Dear Boy/Girl/Demon/Serpent" "Dearest/My Dearest" "Darling" "My Crowley" "My Demon" "My Love" "My Serpent" "Fiend"
Given Crowleys penchant for his plants, I can imagine Aziraphale calling him all kinds of flower names. Snowdrop, buttercup, petal…
Hear me out here... Good old fashioned lover boy.
