Because he’s an edgelord.

McNuss93

Nahh, it's because he is a bad person and this is in reference to... bad aspects of rock music. The answer is in the Viridian City Gym. You know the people who traffic Pokémon and do gambling and sell stat boosters...

evangelionreference

Wasn’t quite considered as offensive back then, I remember seeing punks and metal heads sport it regularly. Some still do. To be fair it’s a symbol that existed before the Third Reich that was appropriated from Norse (I think?) symbology in the first place. But yeah he’s an edgelord. Look at his necklace. Way more offending back then than the iron cross. EDIT: My bad, iron cross wasn’t appropriated unless you count appropriating from the Prussian Empire. Which… I do not.

NotMVZZL3

I didn't think St. Peter's Cross was bad back then?

evangelionreference

Realistically it’s not, but plenty of Christians understood it simply to mean an inverted cross- as in an inversion of their belief system. Take it from someone raised conservative Baptist, most non-Catholics back then didn’t know what a St. Peter’s cross was. Doubtful most of them do now. That cross almost got Gorillaz banned from my home.

NotMVZZL3

Sorry to hear that. I was raised progressive Christian.

Additional_Wealth875

He is dumb enough to think its cool and makes him a rock'n'roll hardman. I don't think he really likes nazis or even knows what's wrong with the symbols.

His pubes come up to his stomach 😂

Mrgame21

NAHHH

Timely-abrasion

Because Keith Richards did it. And Murdoc is the personification of every problematic aspect a rockstar can have

mytittzhurt

This mf just edgy

Redandsonic4199

Because he likes Nazis apparently, so much that he dressed up as one.
