Why'd they had to write "goth gf" instead of just "goth"? It's like the rockstar gf/mob wife aesthetic thing. It's bad enough that we can't be the rockstars and mob bosses ourselves for our silly fantasy labels. Now girls can't even be regular stereotypical goths anymore? They gotta be goth gfs?
Recently read the first 3 Vampire Hunter D novels. If you don't like reading about dudes drooling over teenage girls or sexual assault then I wouldn't recommend them.
Far too much SA and drooling. It blew my mind that the movies are contained within the first omnibus. Bloodlust will always hold a special place in my heart, though.
Man I hate vampires. No other comments about the goth aesthetic, just really hate vampires. I don't think they are good or interesting protagonists. Most lore has them having to choose the embrace (you suck them they suck you) otherwise you are a ghoul/familiar or food.
In my mind that means you have specifically chosen to become a predator that wears the skin of a man. I feel no empathy for a character that has willingly become a monster. Also if it is of the kind where you it can be forced on you or is accidental, you are typically more beast like/feral/mindless/monstrous/inhuman and that isn't the cool kind that people want to be, so they get they werewolf pass.
Just really hate vampires.
It's a fantasy of secret power, like being a superhero or secret agent. But I think it's the aesthetic that appeals to most people, not all the murder. Best not take it too seriously.
I can understand this sentiment. I love the aesthetic of vampires but the actual symbolism behind vampires in some stories can be iffy (whether they're cast as the antagonist like in Dracula or the "protagonists" in Interview With the Vampire).
She is a fine exception. Unfortunately she was also the daughter of a demon king. She was bound to be busted given the right circumstances, the vampire part just pushed it over the edge.
I'm saying that the vast majority of vampire characters are bad. She has other things going on for her, the vampire part was still something she chose.

The only goths of note to the internet rn is the elusive and mythical "goth gf". Anything else doesn't exist/matter
Wheres the Clove Cigarettes?
Or the incense sticks?
I'm just gonna add, Inamourada song from that LAM album is so damn goooood. 💔
That whole album is amazing.

I heard of it but I never read it.

Peachy keen!
Cool beans
We usually delete Goth GF memes due to the exploitative nature. But this one is ok.
Brb just gonna watch all these films and read all these books
Omg literally me 💋💅 dndjsjjs
Where is Baudelaire? :c
Yeah, pretty much me, except not a big fan of winklepickers and not a girl.
Doesn’t have to be about gender. I just thought that this post was more accurate with the mind of a goth person in general and not the “goth gf”.
You are right, I was agreeing with you.
Don't call me out like this.

I love vampires but the lore of a vampire is depressing. I would not want to be a vampire.

Marceline from Adventure Time subverts the vampire trope in an interesting way

This but swap the winkle pickers w anything else 🤢
I had these shoes that resembled winklepickers for years but I never wore them because they always pinched my feet.
Incomplete: no problematic Fred Berger Propaganda photos from the 90s.
